I'm not normally a huge fan of craft beer but I tried all of Sober Islands beers today and they definitely have the best craft beer around! Also great service too!

This is a wonderful place with a great atmosphere. Really enjoyed the beers and is right next door to a restaurant that is owned by the same family. We stopped at the brewery to test out a few flavours and ordered them next door at the restaurant. Well worth the scenic drive.

The best stout in Nova Scotia.
Beth's Black is the only stout I buy over and over again. It is a rich beer that I just can't stay away from. Friendly staff at the brewery. Decent selection of beers for a craft brewery. I really like this place.

We were camping in the area so made a stop for a cold beer after a hike and it was a great spot! We tried their blueberry beer as we’ve tried all of their other kinds before. I’d say the Oyster Stout would still be my favourite. We enjoyed the picnic table area out back which is dog friendly. Inside looked like a great spot to sit as well. Friendly staff and they made the experience easy even with the COVID guidelines in place!

Delicious and fabulous! Dog friendly and people friendly! Stopped off and enjoyed great beer, great covid-respectful conversation (Crissy was awesome!) and really loved the beautiful woodwork and ambiance. Can't wait for spring when the beer garden opens!

Sober island brewing has not only the best blonde ale on the market (Marigold), but also so many other fantastic beers! Truly my favourite brewing company hands down.
Their service and staff are excellent, very friendly and they have awesome merch!

Has a cute retail area with Sober Island swag. This is the same place you can pick up your glass or growler of beer.

Great to sit out on their picnic tables and walk down to the dock to enjoy the view of the harbour.

Good beer, nice location along the water with a big outdoor space. Gotta love a brewery you can bring your pup to!

Very good beer at Sober Island. I had the Wave Breaker IPA. Really well done. We also had the Oyster Stout which again, was really well done. It's out of the way from HRM but well worth stopping in!

Trivia at the Tap Room in Sheet Harbour was so much fun last night. It is lovely to watch this sweet business grow and expand. Our team came in fourth so we have some work to do!

We stayed at the Lawrencetown Lodge for a weekend. We decided to take a shoreline drive up the Eastern Shore. When looking for stopping points we discovered the Sober Island Brewing Co. We had enjoyed Sober Islands craft beers in the NSLC previously and instantly wanted to stop in to check it out. We highly recommend visiting them. They have done a wonderful job developing their business, while delivering great service and product. Their beer is phenomenal, the town is very “Nova Scotia”, and the people are welcoming. They will always be in my NSLC 6 pack of craft beers.
