Somerset Place Apartments

Recently management decided to put pictures in the lobby and paint just the lobby walls to make the building look appealing. Meanwhile, they have done nothing to address the cockroaches, bedbugs and other insects that occupy the entire building. On top of this package theft has been an issue.

Not safe. I lost my package but the people here refuses to take responsibility. Do you really want to live in a place where no one wants to deal with stealing or at least try to help you?

Elevator are always broken. A lot of flies and insects. The water is always burning. Stealing packages. Bad experience

I rented an apartment complex in Somerset place for over five years. I experienced some of the usual issues that most tenants do but the way each issue was dealt with was wonderful! Stacy, Dillon, Raven, Riley and Logan are certainly Frontline people to help with all of your needs. They maintained their professionalism, friendliness and understanding when you needed things done even though it was difficult to be patient sometimes for work to be completed yet they remained encouraging very helpful and Accessible. If Capriet engages office staff such as those individuals in the future this place can be a temporary home to so many people. Thanks everyone for your care and attention. I will miss this place

How to pay the first rent when I will not move in in the first date of month? I wrote many emails to Capreit but no reply yet. Please answer me soon.

They talk like trash always if you need to visit their rental office. Before you rent this place id very different then the way they treat you as a tenant later on. Think more than twice…

We lived at the Somerset Place Apartments for 2 years and really enjoyed it!
The lobby and all other facilities (Gym, Laundry) are kept clean constantly.
Also to mention is that our fridge broke one night and Somerset Place replaced it the next day which was awesome.
We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which was spacious enough for us.
Special thanks to Riley who is always helpful and finds a solution for every issue you might have.

I cannot urge people enough to NOT move here! Multiple issues through out our tenancy from cockroaches, leaks which led to black mold, plumbing issues, rude staff members, etc

Most of these issues, especially the mold was very slow to be resolved, and only given a band aid fix.

Currently there is a massive roach infestation in the building.

I cannot stress enough to seek other living arrangements. This building is a health hazard!

Beautiful place in Halifax downtown, few seconds walking from the bus stop, close to Sobeys and Atlantic super store, very near to the French school Mer et monde.not far from point pleasant park. I give a 5 stars to Riley Harris for her professionalism, understanding and kindness, i can't wait to have my beautiful apartment there and enjoy the view from The balcony

Stayed here for about 14 months - great location near downtown and amazing ocean views. The apartments are quite spacious and well laid out, a 2 bed apartment with 1.5 washrooms is a rarity in Halifax. The flooring and appliances have been recently renovated and quite new. The maintenance team is really responsive and helpful - they’re planning to replace windows soon which should help with my only grouse which was the insulation. Enjoyed staying here.
