Beautiful Saturday morning at Peggy's Cove so we had breakfast here because we came here before and it was what we expected, delicious. Great staff, great coffee and reasonably priced.

Really good restaurant, especially with the sea food they serve and the amazing view the restaurant offers. They also serve very fresh lobster with the prices depending on the markets. The restaurant is just next to the souvenir shop, and it have a really nice atmosphere overall! Highly recommended!

Go literally anywhere else in Peggy’s Cove. Found the service to be unpleasant. Ended up leaving and better for it. Agree this place is a tourist trap.

For years this has been our go to place for chowder and fish/chips, but todays meal was a disappointment. Coffee was hot, but as weak as tea. The muscles were great, but the fresh rolls were as hard as a rock. The seafood chowder was bland and more of a mush than chowder and I was hard pressed to find any solid fish or lobster pieces. The normally delicious fish & chips were so greasy, they dripped oil. Staff and atmosphere were as good as always, but our expectation for a Friday dinner of fish and chips was a real let down. Staff did reduce our bill for which we were thankful, but to be honest I’d rather pay full price and have the Sou Wester comfort food like it used to be.

Stopped here while on vacation from Oklahoma with my family. I would come to this place every day if I could. Gorgeous views, amazing staff, delicious food. What's not to love? I highly recommend the ginger bread. Definitely give it a try!

Best lobster meal during our maritimes road trip. Peggy’s cove is a must see when in the maritimes.

Stayed for 5 minutes. A server was extremely rude to us when we let her know we were ready to order. Whatever caused her to speak to us that way, I hope it resolves for her because it cost the restaurant our business.

Now *this* is how you do fish-n-chips!
Light crispy batter, tasty tartar, golden fries with a fresh coleslaw! It doesn’t get any better than this! …. Unless you add in the stellar views and the amazing friendly service! Already looking forward to my next visit!

Came here for dinner. The garlic shrimp were delicious! And the Nova Scotia fish and chips were amazing. Very flavorful and filling. And the apple crisp dessert was well presented and sweet!

Store is good but restaurant service is terrible.microwaved food after waiting 25 mins to be served.never going back and I'm local!

Very crowded when there’s lots of buses, but lots of goodies to shop for, fair prices, and extremely friendly and helpful staff. They also have clean restrooms. Can get your passport stamped upstairs if you remember to bring it with you.

Very good lobster roll and fish n chips. It can be crowded. Try to time your visit in between the tour buses. Nice little gift shop.

A very busy restaurant but all the staff we saw were smiling and chatty, we were served by Thia, who was a delight.
Both of us went for the Fish & Chips… my husband 2 pieces and me 1 piece, along with some local beer. The food arrived really quick, the batter and fries were lovely and crisp, all piping hot and with a really good tartare sauce. It filled us up brilliantly for a day of adventure.

The gift shop is also great, a massive selection of goods whether they be local or from other regions in Canada as well, at good prices. Don’t forget to visit upstairs as well for more items.

The only sit down place at Peggy’s cove, with an amazing view of the lighthouse right from your table. Had a lobster and fisherman’s breakfast with fish cakes. Pricing was reasonable given the location.

Amazing setting with spectacular views. Food was average and items are expensive - as expected. We ordered fish and chips and the lobster mac and cheese. My partner said his fish tasted a bit “old. There wasn’t much lobster in my pasta even though it was tasty. Our server was friendly and the wait time was reasonable.

I was happy with the service, the location is spectacular. The food is excellent, but somebody put Paprika on my seafood chowder.eeewww. Some might like it, I'm not a fan.

Food was pretty good. The fish had a strong fishy flavor and I'm not sure if that is how it is supposed to be. Get the strawberry rhubarb pie.
The location cannot be beat. Free parking. Be aware that lots of your buses come here.

I didn't eat here so I cannot comment on that aspect, but the gift shop is conveniently located right next to washrooms and the edge of the boardwalk to the Lighthouse.

There are many cool items here at decent prices. I did not feel like I was being taken advantage of like some other tourist shops.

There will very likely be something for everyone on your shopping list, even yourself.

The staff are pretty quick too with their two registers.

The people I bought souvenirs for from here were quite pleased.

This past week I was with a Holland America excursion and we had lunch at your restaurant. A lunch of chowder was included. Very good. Then I ordered a buttered lobster roll. I basically paid 30 bucks for French fries and a roll with maybe one ounce of lobster. The waitress was working so hard I didn’t have the heart to tell her I got ripped off. This is a very convenient location to pick up a souvenir and grab a bite to eat. Staff were friendly, helpful and busy restocking shelves and serving customers in the restaurant. I popped in to look at the menu and the wait staff were very helpful answering all of my questions. We returned in the morning for early pictures of Peggy Cove's lighthouse and what turned out to be a delicious breakfast with a beautiful view. Find a parking spot and find your way to Sou'Wester Gift and Restaurant (near main lighthouse parking lot). Plan to stay a while:)

Had a lovely dinner with my family in a gorgeous setting, as we literally could see the Peggy's Cove Lighthouse from our table. In terms of our experience, our food was tasty, our server very friendly, while the attached gift shop had a lot of fun items.

As for prices, this is definitely a tourist restaurant, though not unreasonable so. While I am sure we could have eaten cheaper lobster elsewhere, there is no way we would have found anywhere else with such a stunning view.

We arrived for sunset, 4 adults and 6 kids, after a long day beach hopping. The hostess was so lovely and accommodated our large group spread out amongst three tables. They suggested our kids eat on their own ensuring they would be in good hands. What a wonderful experience! The kids were treated so well, and felt so special when their “bill arrived. ” They loved their food and the portion size for the kids menu was substantial. The server for the adult table was equally as kind, honest and friendly. The sunset was spectacular and the cold drinks supreme. While the food is quite over priced for what it is, it’s worth it for the staff and the environment. Well done!

Overall good experience. We were there for happy hour so some apps and drinks were half price, which was good. And while they tasted good, Chef Alex's Angry Potatoes were definitely not angry, no spice to speak of whatsoever, and the waitress didn't seem too interested in rectifying the situation at all, which was a pretty disappointing since she hyped them up to us. At least they were half price lol
