We chose Stanton Solar mainly because of the reviews. They did a great job of explaining the system to be installed, the set up, design, arrange permits and final inspection with NS Power. Kept us informed of the status of the installation throughout. Helped out with Greener Homes Loan application, whole process took around 6 months. Thanks Kim, and a big shout -out to the installation crew, all very professional.

My experience with Stanton Solar was excellent. They were very responsive with my questions during the initial design. I went through the Greener Homes Loan and it was about six months between the loan approval and completion of the installation of the solar panels. They did all the paperwork with Nova Scotia Power, and they carefully arranged the schedule so that installation to final inspection took only three days. I especially appreciated their patience when there was a delay in receiving loan funding. I highly recommend.

A lot of solar installation providers are quick on the draw with online quotes and scheduling a pitch call, but Stanton had a stronger personal touch with greater and more detailed attention to our project. We're looking forward to a great return on our panels!

Stanton Solar is amazing. Kim was always polite and courteous when we talked. She walked me through several different programs and the pros and cons of each one.

I picked one option and then later decided to go with another option. I decided on the switch after we were pretty deep in the process and Kim just went with the flow and helped me in going with the new option. She responded quickly with phone calls and emails and always asked what I needed to get approvals.

The team that came and installed the solar panels and electrical upgrades were incredible. They were kind, efficient, respectful and always ready to answer questions. They walked me through the process, how it worked and made sure everything was up to permit and proper building code. They worked closely with NS Power so I didn't have to and ensure everything was sound.

Overall, I'm extremely proud of the work they have done on my house and the quality of the work they provided. I feel confident that I have a great system on my roof that will reduce my power bills and thank Kim and the entire Stanton Solar team for their sound advice and knowledge, great customer interactions, quality workmanship and amazing installation and after install supports available.

Our experience with Stanton was lovely. Kim was very responsive. We had a few small hiccups. Some were due to delays in the federal funding and one small one was during installation. Kim was quick to address and resolve the issue with installation and was supportive with the funding pieces. Would definitely recommend them!

Recently had Stanton Install a 12KW Solar array onto my home and it was a great decision. They helped me throughout the whole process of applying for the Canada Greener Homes Loan program. Designed the system, answered dozens of my questions and installed it. The installers did a great job, and worked safely throughout all sorts of winter weather. I would recommend installing a solar system on your home, and I would recommend Stanton.

Kim is an exceptional. Her knowledge in solar panel installation is second to none, and she always takes the time to explain the installation process to customers, answer their questions, and address any concerns they may have. Her friendly demeanor and excellent communication skills make her a pleasure to work with.

Kim and the installation team (Rob & Michel) are the stars of the show. Kim held our hands us on solar power systems and the rebates from both provincial and federal governments. She even
encouraged us to get up to five quotes. She also gave us a range of how much a system would cost which competitors were obviously exaggerating.

The installation team was friendly, energetic and hardworking. After hurricane Fiona passed through there was an arc fault which was resolved in 24 hrs by the installing team. If this isn't delighting a customer I don't know what is. Thanks once again Rob and Michel for the quick turnaround.

Almost two months after the installation we have knocked off 3 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions and still going.

They communicated well and made sure we understood what was happening every step of the way. They helped us navigate through all the rebates and programs offered.

Neil and Kim were fantastic throughout the whole process. They were responsive and easy to get in touch with, answering all of my (many) questions. All of the rebate paperwork was taken care of. There was an unexpected delay from Nova Scotia power processing some of the documents, which they not only addressed immediately and had the steps expedited, they compensated me for the time lost and improved their software to catch it so it wouldn’t happen again. Neil and his team went the extra mile for me a few times with my roof. Talk about full service. I’m now in the process of moving and already talking to them about putting up panels on my next place. I have no reservations recommending them to anyone interested in going solar!

Stanton Solar installed a new system of 24 panels in 2020. It happened in stages, as COVID protocols and supply chain crunches allowed. Racking went up in the summer, panels in the fall, and the system was finally operational in Jan 2021 when the meter was installed on the side of our house. Neil and his team checked in with us along the way with timeline updates. We found Neil and his team to be friendly, informative, and professional. Our roof is not ideally suited for solar (it's got dormers, and multiple roof lines), but they were able to recommend a system to maximize solar capture and after our first full year with it, it's produced all the power we need. We had to call Neil twice in the first year because the system was offline. The first time it required a software update, which was done promptly and the second time the breaker tripped (another easy fix). I would say the best part of Stanton Solar is the customer service. As with any upgrades to your home problems will arise. For us, it was delays and system failures. We found Neil and his team to be very accommodating, responsive and approachable. We highly recommend Stanton Solar.

We used Stanton to specify and install our rooftop solar panels. We selected them specifically because of their service levels and we were not disappointed. Their team did a wonderful job and we were kept informed throughout the process. We will be recommending them without reservation.

I went with Stanton because their reviews implied I would get what I was looking for: a well-designed system, honesty, good quality, accurate predictions of when things would happen, responsive and thorough communication, and a pleasant and practical work crew. I am pleased to report that I got what I was looking for. That was important to me because I have dealt with residential contractors that just leave me fuming and I did not want a repeat of those experiences. The only reason I did not check the "good value" box is because I did not get competitive quotes. I do know, though, that Stanton's prices are fair as I asked a neighbour about what he paid for a similar system. I whole-heartedly recommend Stanton to you. It is a local company that is providing respectful and fair service and that in my mind is worthy of support.

Great company to work with, they were super responsive when we first start researching companies. We had never thought about installing solar panels until Neil was canvassing in the neighbourhood. We were intrigued at the prospect, set up an appointment and became informed on how they could help us save money. We were hooked! After much discussion, questions that were patiently answered, more questions and yet more questions, we made our decision to have 24 panels installed. Neil and his team did an amazing job and we were very pleased with their work. The hardest part was waiting for NSP to come and change over our meter. We are also on TOU, so a specific meter had to be used. Thrilled with the results so far. They were installed late October but by the time the meter arrived we were in November. Our power bills have certainly decreased in comparison to the previous years bills, and this latest one was over $200 less. We’ve had no second thoughts, and only wish we could have put up 33 panels. Stanton Solar can do anything!
There were a couple of aspects to the solar system I wanted that were complicated. Every company I called said they couldn't do it. Not only was Stanton Solar able to do it, but it turned out exactly as I wanted. Plus the after sales service is just incredible. I really feel like they are there for me, more than any other company I've ever dealt with.
The Inspector from Nova Scotia Power had the exact same equipment at his own home and showed me some tips and tricks! That just reinforced the fact that I had chosen the right team for the job.
