The chicken burger used to be a great size for the price of it now it’s tiny and not worth the price at all

My family and I went here tonight around 6: 30pm on Halloween night as we are long time great customers and love station six. Tonight however was very different. Upon arrival we were barely greeted by the waitress Leslie.she pointed out she has mopped the floors so we were limited to where we could sit…. Which is completely fine except a gentleman who was at the bar asked where the washroom was and she rudely said “it’s in the spot where I mopped so I’ll have to mop behind you when you’re done” which made us feel uncomfortable going to the washroom so we didn’t…we order our food and now are the only people in the restaurant. The waitress is sitting at the bar texting and doing her hair the entire time and not asking if we needed our drinks refilled or anything, the pop was so flat it came out looking yellow instead of dark Pepsi brown. My sisters ordered a poutine and the second it hit the table it gave off an awful smell. I reached over to grab a fry and immediately spit it out. They then tried it and did the same, it smelt and tasted sour and was horrible. We have had the gravy and poutine many times and it was always delicious. After the rest of my family finished our meals (still not even once asking if we wanted refills on our waters she was again in the kitchen and walking around doing her hair and texting still) the waitress asked why the poutine was untouched and we explained it smelt and tasted rotten. She very rudely said “we’ll I just had one and it was good sooo… and just walked away” she did take 25% off the poutine, however it should have been free since it tasted so off from what we’ve had before. We go to pay and now the debit machine isn’t working, the waitress huffed and puffed and sighed a million times as we paid becuase the machine wasn’t working making us feel like an inconvenience. We ordered a Mac and cheese to go for my husband, got home and there was a hair in it…this was where I draw the line and decided to write this review. This is our last time ever going to station six from this experience. I hate to write a bad review about a local restaurant but this experience was just so upsetting.

Sometimes service is a little slow, but staff have always been very friendly and the food is very good! Definitely worth a visit.

Wanted to try here for a while but the food was mediocre for price. The nachos were a larger portion, although dry. The burger and fries were fine, but not very noteworthy (seemed like the burger was cooked from frozen). Our waiter was friendly and personable, but staff seemed to hang around the bar area which caused delays in getting simple pop refills on an otherwise empty night.

My brother and I were asked if we had a reservation at 5: 55pm on Sunday. When we responded that we didn’t we were told that they were only serving reservations, even though the bar was empty as were all of the window booths. I asked if we could sit at the bar and was told “do you already know what you want to eat? Will you be a quick in and out? ” I was confused as we hadn’t see a menu. The server then said “we’ve been here all day so we’re trying to close early”.
Early closing was not posted online anywhere. Very disheartened. Will not be back.

Ordered take out for my family tonight. Spin dip, firehouse chicken, smoked meat sandwich and the axe burger. Everyone enjoyed their meals and finished their plates. I had the firehouse and it was fantastic. Great combination of savoury and sweet. Will definitely order again!

Used to come here all the time and would recommend it to anyone! Recently visited and noticed a lot of changes, not very good ones: (fries completely different, menu completely different, chicken burger completely different, etc. Every item on the menu used to be so tasty and is now cheap and below average. Sooo sad this place used to be my favourite in HRM!

While the food in particular was tasty and satisfying, my chowder had shrimp with the tail still attached. It was an unexpected spoonful and it made me check every bite from that point on. I had the Mushroom ravioli as a main, that was well made and flavorful a rich sauce covered everything. The bread that came with it threw me off though, panini bread. If it was supposed to be fancy or something I'm not sure, it just felt out of place on the plate. The service was average, when I pointed out the shrimp, they said they'd check what happened and never got back to me about it. The place itself feels a little dark and cold. Sitting by a wall with friends but it felt like we weren't even in a restaurant. May go back in a few months to see if anything has changed. I've heard that the menu has changed a little and that it's not as good as before.

Horrible. New owners. Lunch on 230114. Salmon was taken off menu. Ordered haddock with the sweet apple salad. Salad was bitter with goat cheese and pecans. No apples and nothing sweet about it. Haddock was bitter and dry unable to eat it. My son loved his Mac and cheese. It was 12$ for kids Mac and cheese with no drink or dessert. Very small portion. One measuring cup of Mac and Cheese. He enjoyed it as a small snack, he was still hungry. I had one very small mug of coffee and could not get a refill on. Waited to leave for over 20mins. Could not get any staff. Had to walk up to kitchen to ask to pay my bill. I will never return. I use to go there for the amazing salmon and salad. Off the menu and what was left is disgusting. I would leave 0 star if I could. I do not go out to eat very often. Very disappointed.

Bring back the old menu! Was so disappointed to have no nachos on the menu at a pub. Waitress said they’re trying to make is fancy… it’s in spryfeild with palates for furniture. We don’t need another spinnakers, we want our delicious pub back.

Good beer selection, friendly service. Food is ok, nothing special but it’s one of the only decent places in the area.

Mixed drinks were lackluster (markets a basil lemon gin drink that had no basil—- just sprite lemon and gin) and their bbq sauce+ranch nachos were meh. Probably more gears to guys who wants beers.

This place used to be so good but has gone completely downhill.

The food quality used to be awesome and is now terrible.

The server didn’t listen to our request and took forever to get to us. No drink refills, wrong food. Low quality food.

Such a shame.

They should have just raised their prices and maintained their quality.

Wings are sooooo good! Crispy.and their firehouse chicken burger is sooo good! And their pan fried haddock sooooo good! Lol its all SO SO GOOD!

It's burger week! Thoroughly enjoyed the burger. The music was a bit loud at 430 but the food & service certainly out weighed the loudness!

Service was great, wings were perfectly cooked and medium sauce was just spicy enough for me.
There again tonight, odd, service was great, wings were fine, served quickly but most of them were warm at best and a couple were hot. Seems like there's just a pile of wings in the kitchen and you get what you get. Shoulda got the Smoke Burger tonight I think.

There weren't a lot of options, to choose from, but, the servings were big and delicious. Don't come here, without being prepared to pay more!

A great pub style eatery. Service was excellent, food delicious. Excellent parking and eat in or outside.

Pleasant courteous and helpful staff Highly recommend everything but especially the macaroni and cheese, Onion rings were next level.

Me and my friends came by yesterday in the evening for food after a beach day, and we weren't expecting a lot. We try to get seating outside there wasn't any available on the account we were a party of three and there was only a six person table available which is fine. We were greeted by a woman standing in front of the door who made sure to give us awkward eye contact as we entered. Once we were seated everything took very long. It seemed to be 20 minutes for drinks 30 minutes for our drinks to get there and it felt like pulling teeth. I ordered a gin and tonic it was undrinkable. It might be the local tap water but the water tasted salty. Once our order did come around there The works Burger was very misproportionate. And the maple sauce tasted cheap.keep in mind we weren't expecting a lot but the burger came to $20 essentially. I ordered a side piece of chicken not really understanding what that referred to. I guess it meant a boiled piece of chicken breast with a light season on it. Something that you would get out from a legion luncheon. After we were done we were stuck waiting there and the sun was coming down we really wanted to leave and even though we pleaded for our check it still took another 20 minutes we had to physically ask one of our party members to wait at the bar to try to corral the waitress over. And she said they were short staff but it didn't really seem like she was doing much of anything. We're not from the area so maybe this is normal. Maybe it was an off day. But all of our experiences were the same in this circumstance the food was poor the drinks were poor the service was for the atmosphere seem to be taken directly off of Pinterest post. I will for a fact not be coming back.

Decided to mosey down to station 6 for a celebratory dinner to commemorate my last cancer surgery. Needless to say that I was not disappointed! Staff are awesome, the beer is cold and the food is top notch! They offered to cover my meal based on my cancer situation! Wonderful staff!

Amazing food and fantastic, friendly staff! Our neighbourhood favourite. Burgers, pizza, fish n chips, pasta. Seasonal menus and local brews on tap. Atmosphere is cozy and covid procedures are great. Wing night special and Friday night $5 off app specials.

Had the pleasure of visiting Station Six in Herring Cove this evening with my elderly mom and teenage daughter. The waitress was very pleasant, friendly and went out of her way to get my mom's request just right. Mom was craving the pizza and nacho combo that she used to order from Pizza Delight in Bayers Lake. This is not a menu option at Station Six but the waitress was very patient while my mom described what she wanted and thankfully, the cook was willing to oblige. When Mom's meal arrived, she was over the moon happy. Station Six has a nice selection of local Craft beer which I enjoy. The menu was varied, the portions are big and the food delicious. All Covid precautions are observed. The dining room was clean and the atmosphere inviting. Will definitely be back.

A sports bar that appreciates their locals but will surprise a newcomer w very attentive and friendly service and a delicious menu. A nice find.

Wonderful food with great service! We were curious why the pizza seemed so small on the menu but when we got it, it was so so covered in toppings and tasted so delicious that it actually lasted like 3 or 4 days worth of leftovers!

I was positive surprised that most dishes can be served gluten free as well

Table was kind of sticky. Maybe because of the disinfectant. Really- not sure why. That's why only 4 out of 5 stars

We always stop by here when we don’t feel like cooking. Especially in the summer. The chicken sandwich is our favourite thing and I definitely recommend it!

The food here is very good and they have many choices that are different from most other places. My one gripe is that 2 of the 10 people at our table ordered something that included an ingredient they had run out of and instead of telling us when it was ordered they substituted it for something else. If the item is different than the menu they should tell you. A peach sandwich with no peach, is not the same. And Salmon with mango salsa is different than salmon with fresh tomatoes on it. Especially if you don't like raw tomatoes.

Great service. Staff are knowledgeable about selection of food. Very clean restaurant. Welcoming to big group. Strongly recommend eating here.

After reading other reviews about how busy this restaurant is we decided to try ordering from skip the dishes. The black bean and sweet potato burger was so tasty and had an amazing chipotle sauce. As other reviewers have said, the main portions aren't huge but the taste makes up for it! Will recommend Station Six to family and friends looking for a good burger.

Food was amazing. I love their french fries. The place was packed and we received our food in a timely manner. I'll definitely be back again.

After 5 visits over the span of a year the service has been bad to mediocre every time.which is a shame because the food is always good. In defense of the servers there always seems to be way too few of them for how many tables there are. If the service was better we would be here more often.

Most recent visit: Nov 2019: taco week - I was apparently the first to order their taco on the first day. The FUEGO DILL FRITO (buttermilk chicken tosssed in firehouse spice, on flour tortilla with crunchy & creamy dill pickle, red cabbage & chipotle slaw, topped with drizzle of ranch, honey & fried jalapeno) - two for $15 with a side. They were very good, crunchy, without any specific ingredient dominating the flavor. Overly memorable? No. Would I get again? Yes. Side of 'loaded potato' soup finished the meal off nicely, cream based with chunks of potato, small slices of bacon, topped with chives. Service felt a bit long for a weekday lunch as we were rushing to get back to work, but overly a good experience.

Best waitress ever. But not my scene. Sorta a "sports bar for the whole family". Its a place I would love if it was remote or on the water.

Incredibly clean and well decorated restaurant. The best sweet potato burger both myself and my partner has ever had. Friendly staff, and a great place for the whole family.

Food way better than I expected. Its often packed. Must try burgers. Little out of the way if you're on the peninsula. Apple cobbler is big.

Good poutine that did not appear to be on the menu. Good atmosphere. Plates in the 15-20+ range. Semi-gourmet-like offerings, pear+goat cheese-like vibe. Friendly staff. A beer (plus wings and poutine) basically set me back 2x20's. Would probs go back out of convenience of the location. Recommend as a check-it-out. Family friendly.

My review used to be 4 stars because I used to have good experiences here but it seems this place is going downhill since the past few times I've come here the service has been bad and apparently the food is bad too. My chicken wings were rubbery and gross, all I asked was for them to crisp them up a little, but the chef refused to fix them, I guess the customer isnt always right? So I went home hungry.

Decent food and good environment but service is just ok. Long wait for orders to be taken and drinks to be dropped. They do have nice patio seating, however it is limited, and also on a busy road

A welcome spot in Spryfield. A warm spot with large screen TV's for sports. Just a about every table had plugins, handy for when your device is just about out. The menu is a good standard pub fare with a large selection of draft. Had the Fish & Chips which came out hot & fresh and were good. Definitely a place you would feel comfortable staying to take in a whole game - the seating arrangement is unique and well thought out. Courtney was a joy and provided super friendly service.

Worth the drive if you are not nearby. Recommend anything on the burger and sandwich side of the menu. They also do a legit old fashioned.

Always a great meal and experience when coming here. Great menu with great prices and lots of local brews on tap. Place to bring the entire family or just to grab a beer with friends!

I have not been there for some time but when I have it was so good. I recommended this place to many of my friends. The food is prepared right in front of you and you can add or delete any of the ingredients. I especially loved the veggie wraps and chicken wraps. They are so filling that I usually have to save almost half for another time. Staff are so friendly and now they have outdoor sitting in the warm weather months.
