I was rushed into buying a vehicle with sales tactics. The vehicle needed repairs done before I could take the vehicle home. I made my first payment before I had possession of the vehicle because they didn’t complete the repairs the first time. When I finally got the keys in my hand the salesman said “anything else let me know” after our discussion of the repairs done. Within a week the vehicle started to overheat. When I contacted the salesman I got a generic email in return and that was the end of it.

Absolutely disappointed with my experience and a $20,000 vehicle which I’m just as disappointed with.

Steele Chev has been one of the best for service and taking care of their customers going the extra mile. Bill Sampson has always made my visit an excellent experience. His knowledge and customer service is above excellence, he always make sure you’re treated fairly and honest. I would definitely recommend Steele Chevrolet for your Vehicle and maintenance and especially dealing with Bill Sampson. Regardless of why you’re there he will always make you smile before you leave.

Amazing service all around at Steele Chevrolet! From the buying process, Kerwin was a wealth of knowledge and made sure I got exactly what I wanted and needed for my truck. Service appointments have always gone smoothly with my advisor Jesse; he is so easy to talk to and makes sure that everything is taken care of! He is also very informative and helpful as he reminded me last visit of what my warranty package comes with. Come here and see these guys for great service!

Everywhere I called to get the winter tires put on my RAV4 was telling me after Christmas. I spoke with Lisa in your service department and she was able to squeeze me in for an appt within 2 weeks! Thanks to Jesse, Lisa and the service department for helping ensure I had a safe vehicle to drive my kiddos around.

Jesse at Steele Chevrolet went above and beyond to rectify a negative situation I had with a different advisor. He involved his manager Mike and the two of them worked together to make sure my issues were fixed, my truck was cleaned and every issue with the truck was addressed and fixed to my satisfaction. I will only be dealing with Jesse from now on. Highly recommend great to deal with.

Probably the same as all dealerships, but for anyone who needs an oil change to keep warranty on their vehicle, just go to a Mr lube or something same price but they have you in and out. This took 2.5 hours for a simple oil change I could do in 25 mins myself.

First got a repair of my vehicle after minor accident, took it home to find the bumper replaced wasn't even attached on one side. Now that I've had the vehicle back come to realize the exterior window seal is all messed up on the door they replaced.

There's no way any competent person would have given the vehicle back to me either time upon simple inspection.

I went back the second time and got attitude as if it was somehow my fault.

Been at least 6 weeks from then no contact no update. I would not go here if you need a car repair.

While trying to get price quotes for parts, does not respond to emails, phone messages, or return calls after taking information on the request. How can you count on them for after sales service if they won't even respond to basic enquiries?

I wanted to inform you about Mr. Mike Walters and the Service Team at Steele Chev. These people have done an outstand job of diagnosing and repairing an intermittent issue with the transmission of my 2018 Cadillac Escalade. It was clear to me, that this was not an easy fix and that this task required persistence and tenacity to resolve. This Service Team took full responsibility for this vehicles performance and through a multi-step process, got the job done!
My Customer experience at Steele Chev, from first customer contact, vehicle rental arrangements, diagnosis and repair has been 10/10.

I was visiting Halifax August 24-Sept1.to drop my son off at Dalhousie. I was due back in Ontario for another daughter delivery at University of Guelph on Sept. 3.
On Aug 30 my 2018 Yukon XL transmission failed.
The team at Steele took an approach that truly made a difference for my family. Brandon in sales took my cold call after a local referral.and made it possible for me to book an appointment with service (lets remember that service is slammed with local customers and this is 2 days before long weekend). Brandon worked with Mike in Operations.and Mitch at the service desk.end of day on August 31 the transmission was diagnosed, parts ordered and install underway.
As an afterthought I asked Lisa at the admin team the phone number for a rental car agency. Lisa could have just gave me a number and said "good luck". But instead, referred me back to Mitch who presented me as a priority customer to local car rental agency. Cool right? ! Team work.
By September 2 a deeply experienced transmission technologist rebuilt my transmission and I was on time in Ontario September 3 for a critical family commitment.
I am well aware that this might have been a "we will see you September 5 Mr. McMahon" type experience. September 5 might have even been a reasonable expectation. Want this team to know that being 'unique' is worth it. Deeply appreciated.

Massage chairs in the wait room aren't bad touch either when you are there for 8 hours.just saying.

Will never do business here at steel chevy and the steel auto are all complete lairs at gm service and it was the worst service i had on my 2003 chevy monte carlo and jason the tech ripped a part whole car inc damage both of my headlights and Diesel And Auto Electric Limited had rebuild my complete cars wiring and engine control computer and there never A coolant and it was lie from the gm service tech the was ripping me off and lie to mike the service manger and it used radatior that had to be change this year and there is no more problems and we had buy brand new headlights from Amazon.com to replaced the damage ones and now i owned A ford fusion hybird and only buy my cars At macphee ford and only go to macphee ford for service with my ford and trust macphee ford and DONT buy a gm not great cars anymore and best car is A ford

Today was the worst service EVER. I've given a one star revìew, only because I have to select a star to give a personal review! I booked an early morning appointment to have routine service work done. I asked to have my car back by noon or shortly thereafter as I had appointments to attend to in the afternoon, hence the early morning appointment. When I didn't hear back from anyone by 1 pm, I phoned only to be told my car was low priority. They finally looked at my car at 2: 30. I didn't get my car back til 4 pm. I didn't realize an oil change was an all day event. I missed all my appointments and had to reschedule for weeks down the road. Their neglect service caused a ripple effect of many people being inconvenienced. I should have went to a rapid lube. I would of had my car back in 15 minutes, cost a lot less and others would not have been inconvenienced due to their negligence and poor service.

I was there at 1: 30 pm, Thursday, July 7,2022 in the Parts Dept looking for fasteners for the rear bumper of a 2007 Pontiac Vibe. The staff in the store who escorted me into the parts dept and specially the staff in the Parts were AMAZINGLY helpful. I highly recommend them.

These people would do anything to take your money, The sales people wouldn't show me the total amount I'm paying and ticked me to pay 10k for warranty, and when I called the next day to say I wanna cancel the warranty they just ghosted me. Very bad experience

All useless people work there in service centre.i been there with my 2022 camaro and they have no solution for it.big liars.as GM cal them back, asked for codes and scanning process.they said we didn't find any issue.liars.they just didn't wanna fix it becUse I purchased veichle from another dealer.definitely because u dont even have new cars in your lot.

We were recently visiting Nova Scotia from Toronto and we had an engine warning light come on as we drove in to Halifax that obviously concerned us being so far away from home. The team at Steele got us in and checked things out for us. Even though it turned out to be a non issue, this gave us peace of mind for the rest of our trip and the trip home. Great customer service especially being so far from home. Thank you again, Colin and the entire team at Steele!

When I first inquired about purchasing a vehicle that I was interested in I was given the run around. When on the phone I was passed from person to person. Then finally spoke with someone who was supposed to call me back. I ended up calling them back. Just not a good experience.

Had a terrible experience when I took my Cadillac in for service. The employee at the garage bay counter was rude with attitude right of the hop. I don't understand why this dealership would employ such an unprofessional person with obvious issues to deal with customer that are paying $138/hr. Totally unacceptable! I got an apology after I talked the servicing manager but the damage was done. I got my issue diagnosed and then took my car to another shop for repairs. Definitely won't be going back to buy or service any vehicle from this place.

Worst decision of my life to buy a 2nd hand car from them.
Before the deal staff was too cooperative, but right after I signed the papers they acting like they didn’t know me.
Overall not satisfied with their service.

Very friendly, took good care of me this last appointment after a lengthy wait last time. Lots of areas to sit and distance from people. I didn't get a video recap of the inspection like every other time so I assume everything looked good when they did the once over!

6 months after purchasing a $60,000+ truck the tire sensors are giving me issues. Took 3 - 1.5hr round trips from my house to get the truck there and looked at. Josh in service expressed to me that they were upset we purchased our winter tires from another garage and called the other garage a few names. Josh added 20 lbs of air to each one of my tires and the problem was solved! They did up a bill for me, for adding the air to the tires $185. Even I know at 35 years old, not to pull something like that on someone whose done over $60,000 worth of business with you 6 months prior. It leaves a bad taste in your customers mouth. We own a roofing and masonry business, and for the next 30 years we'll be purchasing trucks. They got their $185 today, and lost hundreds of thousands in potential sales from us in the future. You must learn to look past your nose when you're doing business. Especially for a company in the auto sales industry, as each purchase is such a significant amount of money.

The auto service was good and I really appreciated the video send to me explaining what what's going on with my car. And the auto service associate I was dealing with was very friendly. Being a dealership though the price of the service is quite high. A bit ridiculous actually.

I have purchased 3 vehicles at this location going back to 2012 and I've exclusively had all maintenance done at this location. Although, I'm really not sure why.

Yes everyone is perfectly nice with good customer service. If you bring your vehicle in and drop it off for the day you'll probably pick it up at the end of the day with a good experience.
If you wait around though, prepare for the slowest most frustrating experience time after time.

Convenience of location is a powerful thing but a person can only sit though so many 3 to 5 hour oil changes and/or tire changes. It's not due to COVID, it's been this way for 9 years.

For a while I used to call and specifically ask for appointments on days, and at times when it's slower, in attempt to get out of there in a reasonable time. That didn't work.

Just started talking with my girlfriend about getting a new car.it will not be from here and I won't be wasting any more time at this place.

Absolutely terrible experience with the service department. Trying to have an issue dealt with through my warranty and the tech "couldn't hear the noise" although every other person who has listened to the car has been able to hear it. Got stuck paying out of pocket for the diagnosing fee but still have the issue with my car that multiple other red-seal techs have identified but Steele WON'T go good for the warranty work.just concerned about their in-house bottom line instead of the customer and the vehicle. Don't worry- I work in the automotive industry and I'll be sure to pass on the word- Steele service sucks.

Extremely deceiving buying experience buying a pre-own pickup there (which btw I like).

Truck came with 4 spare keys but found out after the fact that only one of them worked correctly.

Did advise the sales guy of the problem expecting that they were going to be helpful. Nope, had to pay an extra 285$ to get a spare key cutted (including the programming that took about an hour).

Another glitch happened when the vehicle go delivered. They took the money while the paperwork wasn't ready. Had to show up the next day and wasn't able to get it plated the same day.

Finally, this dealer will be really good to you until they got your money.

Would suggest staying away at least when it comes to buying a pre-own vehicle. Thought about rating it 0 stars but it seems 1 is the lowest I can rate.

Not usually into posting reviews but I believe this particular case needs to be reported so other can avoid such situations.

Mixed review. On the plus side. I love my new GMC truck. Sales experience was good. Only thing on that side that was bad was I was under the understanding I would get 4 free oil changes which turned out to be 2. Not a real big deal. The first service appointment for my oil change and a few computer updates was great. I really liked the video email of the review of my vehicle. Now the negative. On my second service appointment for my second oil change totally different experience. Scheduled an oil change
and tire rotation. Video was sent again (like this feature) recommended a filter change and lube the brakes. This is fine. I get wear on the brakes and filters. How does oil change, tire rotation, and filter change, and lube take 3 and a half hours to complete. I get you're probably working short due to covid, but I made the appointment so I could do other errands on my only day off for the week. Thus much time to do these simple tasks is just ridiculous. I literally could of done this work in my driveway in half the time. I only go to a mechanic (in this case the dealership) to not void my warranty, and for convenience. And to tip it off, on my way home my brakes are now squeaking. Don't think I'll be returning for service.

I have not been to this location and I was immediately greeted by a great reception. They are taking steps for my safety during this Covid. I was served very quickly. I had had my car towed in the night beforehand. I’m very satisfied. I had lost my car key and had to have replacement ones made. When I came in next day Kirk was waiting and he was a nice young man. Very efficient service.

Good Riddance! I have never met such an arrogant manager. I brought my car in for service for a simple oil change. Next thing you know, I am being recommended transmission service at 50000km. Can someone please explain to me where in the service manual I need to have a transmission serviced at 50k? Somehow because I'm a woman you think you can take advantage of me. Sorry no, I read the manual before my service appointment so I wouldn't get ripped off by you guys! Now just wait for the arrogant and condescending response I get from you guys on here. I've already seen a few. Good Job Walter's real angry winner he is.

Everytime I've brought my vehicle to be serviced here I've had nothing but great service. The team is quick and efficient and the video updates they send while your vehicle is being looked at are great! They've been very upfront and more than reasonably priced. Will continue to take my car here for any service needs:)

They always seem to have system problems or something that causes the customer service reps delays when you arrive. They can't find you in the system, your extended warranty or need to call your sales rep for something that was clearly included in you finance deal, etc.

I have no idea why they make scheduled appointments in the service department? They schedule you an appointment for 8am, yet every time I've been in for service, no matter the issue, it's almost always end of day until my vehicle is ready for pickup.

Why not actually book appointments when you plan/estimate on doing the work? Instead of booking appointments and having your customers wait all day.

Instead of spending time making videos of the work you do and sending them to customers, why not prioritize that work and not have customers wait all day when they have scheduled appointments?

I would only come here for warranty maintenance, as they place no value on your time, customer service is lacking and an appointment is an imaginary thing. On a positive note you get a "cool video" of the work they've done. To bad you just had to wait all day!

I found out on Monday I needed a new car tout suite. I checked online, and saw a really great deal at Steele Chev. I sent an email that evening, and they contacted me immediately! They had me in on Tuesday, made a great deal, and in my new car on Wednesday! I have no reservations about my purchase, or about recommending them. Special thanks to Taylor, Scott and Jarrett for their amazing service. Seriously, why agonize and look around for weeks when you can trust you’ll get the best deal here?

Very friendly service. There was a delay in getting my car into its service appointment (they were very backed up as it is tire change season) and they were very apologetic that it took as long as it did. Would highly recommend.
