They'll sell you a car and then when your 11 month old car has a check engine light on and shuts down your safety features, it's impossible to get it looked at for months and they're doing you a favor by squeezing you in 3 weeks from now.

You can never get anyone on the phone to speak to and they don't return voice-mail. And when you're frustrated and ask to speak to someone that can help you get transferred to a service advisor where it either rings until it hangs up, you leave a voice-mail that doesn't get returned or the mailbox is full. You call back and they just hang up on you so now you have a $75k car with 10k kms and they won't even run a diagnostic to find out if it's safe for you to drive with your 14m old when you bought the car for its safety features and reliability (check engine light disables them and rear camera doesn't even work).

EDIT TO UPDATE: They called us back and as I had initially requested allowed us to come in and quickly get the code scanned to determine the issue. It turned out to be a gas cap issue and they reset and everything is fine now. John was great to deal with and was very accommodating.

While I understand everyone is busy it's frustrating for booking to tell you there's nothing they can do and when you ask if you can speak to someone they just transfer you to a voice-mail. In customer service, I don't believe saying there's nothing I can do and hanging up on the customer is the right way to go. If the customer calls back and says they cannot get through, take a message and pass it on. Transfer them to someone else that may help. There's always options.

Service followed through but I think there needs to be a better system of communication to ensure customers aren't being sent in circles trying to find someone to speak with as it builds frustration. Thank you!

If you are located in HRM and looking to buy a Subaru, I highly recommend Ting (Keith) as your salesperson. Due to inventory issue, we couldn't get our Crosstrek at Steele Subaru at last, but Keith did impress me in the entire process. He's very professional, knowledgeable and patient. I brought my car to have a new steering rack installed. Dropped it off at 7: 30 am. Call me at 4pm to say it was not worked on and I would have to bring it back the next day. Picked it up the next day and my exhaust is now making a terrible noise! Told it is my fault because my exhaust is old! It was perfectly quiet before. Now I have to pay to get my exhaust fixed! The worst service I have ever experienced! They fix one thing and break something else. Good scam they have going. Keep in mind if thinking of buying a Subaru!

Like the brand but the costumer service need improvement. The communication between the staff and us was the worst and make the experience terrible. We payed to hold the car, and took a lot of emails and visits to the dealer trying to figure it out what was happening… After some disappointment we cancelled one of the services we hired because we weren’t happy with the communication and had told that, nothing was made.

Service department was so poor here I ended up selling my brand new Subaru. 0 communication from service asvisors. Was told different things by different service providers.

Told car was ready for pick up. Showed up and work wasn't even complete ordered wrong part. Left car a mess after service was complete. Had numerous trips to the service department and every time it was the same experience.

Thanks for Ting Cheung‘s patience and considerate service. Every time when I needed him,he would help me indeed what he could do. Since my English was poor,he enthusiasticly contacted me and the bussiness manager closely from time to time. I sincerely appreciate meeting such a helpful sales when I had huge amounts of trouble in buying cars.

I had an amazing experience purchasing a new Subaru Outback, Ting and Cress were much better than I expected, and the entire process was painless. I was able to test drive multiple times, and Ting always answered questions promptly - even on his days off.

My car cold air conditioning fault, check twice spent more than 400 yuan, was told to change the compressor, the cost of 2600 yuan. I very much doubt this claim, did not change. Then I went to another Subaru store and checked out the glitch, which cost 500 yuan. So, don't go to this shop for repairs!

This company is using my number to contact me for service checkups. I have asked them multiple times to stop. I'm tired of you contacting me. I never had any business with this company and wish they stop. I'm leaving this review to demonstrate that they don't act professionally.

Please ensure you actually get your customers information down correctly.

I had to block each number this company has used as they have never carried through with removing my number and following through with their promise or knowledge from staff how to do this.

Our lease is coming to an end and would like to buy the car out, my husband contacted Subaru many times and sent them emails but no one had call him back or reply the messages. Well, if service is not good in this location Kempt St.in Halifax, you can always go to another location, it is not necessary to go back to the same dealership where you got your car. My husband contacted the dealership in Bridgewater and they got back to him within minutes and they said they are happy to help. So if you want to lease a car, go to Bridgewater dealership. So Folks, I advise you not to go to Kempt st in Halifax Subaru dealership.

Went into Subaru today as my lease for my Tucson was coming to an end. Walked in and wasn’t greeted by anyone. Seen two salesmen sitting at their desks playing on their phones. I walked around thinking maybe they had customers out on test drives. I never seen them dealing with any customers and while leaving a few salespeople were just standing around by the reception desk and still not even a “hello” from a single person. The whole 15 mins I walked around not a single person asked if I needed any help or information. Wouldn’t go back again if this is the type of customer service the dealership represents.

Received our new 2023 Subaru Ascent, it’s crazy good that’s all I can say.
Definitely better than my Rangrover and I love my Rangrover.
