Sushi Fang

We ordered Tom yum soup with prawn and cashew nut chicken with rice.
Service was very poor to the point the waitress didn’t even speak once or interact it was someone Chinese mid aged maybe. And the food was so bad didn’t had any flavour to it and it was like they boiled the prawn and put it into the soup. Completely disappointed. There’s one more food place who serves Thai food near them and I’ve had their cashew chicken as well which is way more flavourful and the soup as well is better than them. Super disappointing.

For $38 for one person. The rice was dry and old and the chicken balls was those you'd buy in a store. The won tons were burnt. Would never order again.

I'm less than impressed that I called to order a party tray #5 at 5: 08 pm and I was told it would be ready in about 20-25 minutes. I told the gentleman on the phone that my husband would be there closer to 6pm. When my husband arrived he was told it would be 5-10 minutes more until the tray was ready. He watched people come and go with their food, while he waited for an HOUR! An hour for food that was quoted as able to be ready by 5: 35-5: 40 ish. The fact that it wasn't ready until nearly 7pm is unacceptable! He was then told he would be getting 15% off for the ridiculous wait time by one staff member and then told by another he was getting free shrimp tempura. He asked for the original offer of 15% off but was denied by the person offering shrimp tempura stating that it wasn't possible and that person is new and doesn't know any better. We used to be frequent customers until all you can eat was taken off the menu. We won't be customers at all now.

There is lots of selection however the quality of the food is below par. Nothing ever tastes fresh.not even the rice. I would rather grab superstore sushi, way better quality.

I didn't actually realize Sushi Fang had more options than just sushi.
They have vegetarian sushi, traditional Japanese food, traditional Thai foods.
The affordability is perfect and the portions are super big compared to the pricing. I will 100% be back here. It might be my new favorite spot.

For small town ethnic food Sushi Fang is a pleasant surprise. Prices are very reasonable and portions are very good compared to a lot of other Asian restaurants. This is our go to place whenever we’re in New Minas. We really like the curry & all the sushi we’ve tried is awesome. Sushi is meant to be served at near room temperature & in our opinion Sushi Fang does it right. Will agree with some of the reviews about slow wait service at times.

Mislead by what was stated online, but stayed because we were already there & Im visiting from out of province. Food was quick. Average. Not terrible for sushi in the valley.

Without a doubt the worst sushi I’ve ever had. Bento box from Superstore is both cheaper and better than the sushi from here. The fish in the maki rolls is TINY and none of it is cheap. Honestly the highlight was the edamame. Absolutely won’t be back.

The sushi was excellent at a reasonable price. I ate here twice within 4 days. The lunch specials are great.

Service was slow getting to us, we were the only couple besides one other family there, by the time a server finally came over we ordered the food and drinks at the same time and they showed up about a minute apart which made me nervous at first but I found the food very flavourful and just the right amount of spice sadly we weren’t checked up on once even after being done for about 10 mins before finally calling someone over for the bill I’ll most likely be back to try out more of there sushi and other foods they offer but not on a day I feel rushed. Nothing stood out to me to make it feel special or an amazing place that’s why I’m only giving it 2 stars out of 5

Food is okay, some rolls are fine. The seafood is certainly not fresh that’s for sure. The service is legitimately as bad as it can possibly be, a dead raccoon laying on the highway could put on a better display. When you get your cup of water at the start of the meal make sure to ration it out, nearly impossible to get more even if you ask. They basically drop off the food and hide, very strange. Not sure if they source their own water or what is going on.

Has gone way downhill lately since they stopped doing their all you can eat. Now plates are very expensive and there are not many options.

Our family’s go to when we want take out Or it’s special occasion. Mango tango chicken is out favorite on noodles.

The portions are good for the money. And the spring rolls were good. But the stir fry egg noodles were greasy and the chicken was dry/dehydrated and looked more like leftover scraps of meant. The cashew chicken was incredibly bland. The sauce (what little there was) had a slight hint soya sauce and that was it. Perhaps their specialty is more sushi than Thai food.
Edited to add that unlike most thai food, the leftovers were not good. I threw most of the food in the compost.

Fantastic Resturant. If we want to go out to celebrate or just to get together as a family we choose sushi fang New Minas location.

Wonderful place for dining. Special mentioning of kids friendly atmosphere. Really enjoyed it.

We have never had a pickup order from here that didn't have something wrong with it. This time they missed an entire meal.
The sushi we did get was really poor, fish did not seem fresh, not convinced they vinegared the rice, and there was way too much rice for each nigiri piece. We will not order from here again.

Very good! Got king lobster roll, shrimp roll, and california roll. Was so good and more than we thought we would get. Good atmosphere and GREAT service very friendly staff. Will be going again soon!
