Sushi was okay… I had ordered avocado salad and it could have been better.average sushi place

During our Maritimes travels, the Missus and I, our boys and sister/brother in-law discovered Sushi Jet as it was within walking distance from our VRBO.

We were surprised by the quality and tasty food. The menu offers different Asian dishes besides sushi. We opted for the stir fries, beef soups and sushi. We all enjoyed our resonably priced meals. The server was also very nice and attentive.

We highly recommend Sushi Jet if in the area.

We love going here for sushi as it's just around the corner from my home. It's always fresh and tasty and the service is just so friendly. Not many people sit in it's mostly takeout but it's since the renovations it's a really nice place to sit in as well as long as it is not winter time. In the winter there's too many people coming in to get take out and letting all the cold air in. There's no foyer to protect for that.

Food was amazing! Reasonable prices along with friendly service made this an awesome experience!

I have had a bad experience ordering take out from here however the manager put in the effort to correct the issue and gave me a gift card. They definitely care for their customers so I came back. The food is great

I had the Dim sum and it was surprisingly good!

The sushi was tasty and the Ramen too- I only wished the Ramen had more pieces of brisket as they were so delicious!

As a long time sushi eater. I recently moved to Halifax and couldn’t find anything that met my standards. As I grew up on a very Asian diet. I’m happy to say this is the most authentic Asian cuisine you will eat in Halifax. Very hidden spot highly recommend.

Driving directions are correct, walking directions have you going a long way around. You can walk along the same route as the drive

Easy to order online, sushi was ok but they're very cheap with the amount of soya they give. Had over 30 pieces and they only gave 2 containers you have to buy for extra and it's even smaller than the regular size.

Awesome option for sushi or dim sum. It doesnt look like much from the outside but the delicious food is well worth it. Our combos were fresh and well made and the dim sim a welcome hard to find treat.

Ordered via Uber Eats for pickup and when my partner arrived, they refused to let her take the order.

For some reason my middle name was used and despite the last name being correct, and my wife commenting it was my middle name, they refused to let her take our paid for food. She knows my number and still was refused to take order.

This is addition to her telling them the contents of the order without being told.

Then she asked if they were many orders for the same items and was not only told there wasn't multiple orders, but in fact, there was only a single take out order at that time.

In the end, once we called the restaurant back, not only were they unapologetic, but they refused to deliver the items and then refused to cancel the order and refund our money. Flat out told us that we had to come pick up the food. Food that would have been ready some 50 minutes earlier and was presumably cold by this point.

Thankfully, Uber Eats, once contacted, verified the events, and promptly cancelled the order and refunded our money.

Poor customer service, unreasonable stances and horrible attitude. Will not return.

Edit: the owner's response below is untrue. My wife knows my name and my number, and has for years. My wife gave my first and last name and the order had my middle name, which she mentioned when told. AT that point, the server just shut down and would not listen.

Really, the server was very rude, walking away from my wife while she was trying to resolve this.

It's not surprising that the owner would try to blame some one else. The hallmark of a poor establishment. Not only will we not return, I will gladly spread the word about the terrible service.

The best beef noodles I've had here are plentiful and tender and chewy. The staff was very warm and attentive, and the overall environment was great, very clean and clean. Their Sushi bar is one of the cleanest I've ever seen, with frequent trips to clean boards and towels, something I don't see when I eat at many restaurants. Octopus balls are big, not half frozen like other stores. They have a lot of sushi and roll that you don't have anywhere else, and it's beautiful.

Delicious food at a great price! They gave us a soup and a salad extra and a 15% discount. Great spot for casual sushi

This is my favourite sushi place in Halifax, great customer service, great quality, and good prices. These guys are A+ keep up the awesome work I have recommended to many and all day the same thing.

My wife and I have been to dine in several times, and we've had delivery several times now as well. Vert relaxed casual atmosphere when dining in and I have to say I have enjoyed every experience every time. The Maki rolls are fresh and delicious, I absolutely love the yaki udon and the appetizers are fantastic! Do yourself a favour and order your favorites, you won't be disappointed. A huge thank you for the items on the house we've gotten the last few times we've ordered (I can't promise those are always included), it is greatly appreciated! My wife and I will be back to dine in person shortly for sure!

I dined in and ordered take out a day later as well. Their quality and quantity are consistent. Reasonable pricing, delicious, and fresh within that price range. Quick service and the restaurant setting is ample for quick bites. They have a variety in their menu selection. Definitely recommended!

If you’ve got a hankering for sushi and dim sum, this is the place to go. It’s like killing two birds with one stone. Superb food quality and customer service. I was pleasantly surprised to find them throw in some extra rolls on the house with a smiling face on the receipt and container. Talking about going above and beyond. This restaurant is a must try. You won’t be disappointed!

Seems most people order take out but we dined in. Our sushi tasted fresh and the portions were good. The inside was clean and the decor was nice. I will be back again.

Best sushi we've eaten so far in NS (haven't tried all yet, but working on it) Rice is warm, not cold like served in almost all other sushi places. I had seafood bowl (see photo), variety of sashimi on sushi rice, all at perfect softness and texture. Also had spicy miso soup to start, don't dare if you r not really friendly with? My son picked different sushi, liked all but salmon pizza most: rice part at perfect crisp and texture (unlike Mizu's sticky and hard texture). Hoping to visit again!

Had breakfast around 11 am and had this at 8 pm nothing in between nothing. In the middle of the night started having horrible horrible diarrhea and vomiting and for the past two days couldn't keep anything down except water. Asked for a refund and was denied never eating here again.

Great tasting take-out, well-packaged and included some free extra sushi. Was ready for pick-up at the time they said it would be. Price is on the low end but the sushi is some of the best. The inari we received was empty instead of filled with rice which was odd, but other than that we were very pleased with our food.

Amazing quality food and the kindest staff! I thought they had mistaken my order but it turns out they sent me a free roll on the house, and have very kindly given free appetizers before.the only sushi i ever order!

Ordered from skip the dishes and packaging was fine, but for someone who has been eating dim sum for years; this dim sum was horrible. For the price the dim sum should atleast have some amount of proper portioning and be made in house. The texture and taste made is seem like it has been frozen and just steamed to serve. Hand roll was good, just do not waste money on the dim sum. Disappointed with price and quality.

It was my first time to this place.it's pretty decent, staff were friendly and not so packed place.

Talk about large pieces! So satisfying, fresh and tasty. Highly recommend. Bought various maki but will have to check out their Dim Sum options sometime soon. Our first time ordering (delivery) and were very pleased with the complementary roll we got with a warm message written on the container. Treat yourself during the pandemic!

The sushi is pretty good. The "dim sum" isn't dim sum and I'm pretty sure is frozen out of a box and 2$ per dumpling for some superstore frozen stuff is insulting.

Not only is their sushi rolls amazing but the staff is extremely kind and friendly. I order from here very frequently and don’t plan on stopping:)

The high quality of fish they use is amazing. I order sashimi and am always supper happy with it. Tonight we are having an outdoor pick-nick and my 4 year old requested SUSHI form you guys, Thank you for the extra ginger at no charge!

Had my first experience with this restaurant today through UberEats, and unfortunately it will probably be my last. No utensils or napkins provided, and the dishes seemed rushed. First time I've had Beef Tataki where it's a bunch of seaweed and no onions included, the roll I got was decent but the crab cheese wontons were mushy and kind of gross. I understand it might be better if I ate in, but have definitely had better take out sushi from places like Mizu. Just not worth ordering again based on this experience.

I’ve gotten the Avocado Roll, Sweet Love Roll, and Yam Tempura Roll several time and each time, they are perfectly made and delicious! Being vegetarian, I can’t advocate for their fish but their customer service and veggie options are wonderful!

Seriously, my facoueite place to order from. The sushi is divine and the BBQ pork buns are phenomenal! They're also super kind! Omg! We placed an order through uber eats today (our main way of ordering) and they gave us an extra Maki roll on the house! Ugh I can't say enough. So much love to everyone here!

Great service great food the lady who works here is very warm-hearted and helpful. I guess some birds are not meant to be caged. Anyways, good place to stop by and grab a bite.

The sushi and dim sum here are amazing, the pricing is very fair, and the staff are always very attentive and polite. I would recommend the salted egg yolk bun.

Think their website needs to be updated. Ordered online, steamed bbq pork buns and steamed juice pork bun. It said each came with 4pcs but the bbq pork buns only had 3, and the menu they gave us also said 3. Restaurant called later in the night to explain and apologise, nice customer service thanks for checking in with us!
