Swiss Chalet

Me and my husband was in at the Truro location (we are not from here) the hostess at the door was not friendly nor welcoming. Waited 10 minutes for the waiter to get to our table (it was not busy in the late afternoon). The stuffing was ice cold and didnt receive the roll with the festival meal. The waiter didnt come near us to ask if everything was ok or if we needed anything, only to drop the box chocolates and the scratch cards on the table. Had to tell out across the restaurant to get another drink answer was yup. We felt like a bother from the moment we walked in the doors.

I placed an order for a festive special with mashed and an extra Caesar side and a cheese cake desert. I placed the order at approximately 5: 50 last night (the location is 10 minutes away). The order finally arrived at 7: 30, a full hour and a half later. When it arrived the chicken was ice cold and dried up, the mashed potatoes were also ice cold and had hardened to a play dough consistency, the gravy had partially congealed and the stuffing had dried out to gravel. The Caesar salad I had ordered with bacon bits had neither bacon bits, croutons or cheese in it, just a plastic container half filled with romaine lettuce and a packet of dressing in it. The cheese cake was barely identifiable as it had been shaken around to the extent that it was no longer a solid mass. I was dumfounded that they somehow made a total mess of every single aspect of the order that wound up costing me $45.00 for a mess that was ultimately inedible. I don't think there is anything more that could have been done to make this worse, from the hour and a half wait time to the incredibly poor quality of the food I was utterly disgusted.  I woud not reccoment ordering from here to anyone.

Food: Stuffing was dry and stuck together. Chicken was oddly greasy compared to usual, and under seasoned.
Service: Slow but the girl was attentive and kind, with good manners. No personable service or jokes, as she was too busy talking to her mother (the manager, Vicki)
Atmosphere: Cold, lots of staff gossip (even the manager was involved), and the manager was standing at the back staring over the whole restaurant which was uncomfortable nearly the entire time. Took almost two hours to get two chicken dinners.

Food was okay, server took food away before we were done eating and rushed our dinner. He was rude and pushy. Coleslaw was bad tasted off. Server didn't even ask why I didn't eat it or anyone else at our table.

Great food as Swiss Chalet is always consistent! The staff at the drive through were cheery and helpful!

The chicken breast was very dry, obviously overdone. The dipping sauce was bitter tasting and the salad was hard to eat because big chunks of tomatoes and cucumber were thrown on top. I had to chop it all up with a dull knife in order to eat it. Very disappointed.

I went and ordered a quarter chicken dinner with a mash potato got my sour cream i wanted but never got the meal i asked for and paid for when i got home i noticed there is a roast beef sandwich and fries and a poutine in the bag totally wrong cant put sour cream on that stuff the lady at the drive thru this afternoon should of checked to make sure then have your heads up your buts get your orders right thanks even though you only care for is a paycheck worst swiss chalet in the province and i won't be back way more professional ones out there them this amateur one

Food was excellent and our service was fantastic! Todd is always great at keeping the customers entertained too!

Meal cold, coffee tasted like was leftover from breakfast. Never did get the drink we ordered. Wasn't busy and it was lunchtime, I see why it was not busy. The chicken sandwich looked and tasted like it was made from yesterdays leftovers

Just had the double leg dinner with poutine. Was amazing. The staff were top notch and extremely friendly.

We reserved for 530. Waited over 1 hr for our meals. It was Mother's Day. Waitress said the drive-through gets priority. If not, the cars would be line-up out to the road!
Whatever happened to first come, first served.

Went through tale out tonight
Great disappointment ordered meal from the coupon specials, and a wrap with sweet potato fries, which were totally burnt, you could smell it.
We never got our perogies, no buns with meal. But got the butter lol.
Sorely missed the mark

$35 plus tip for two chicken dinners, didn’t get fries with one or any drinks. We’re told drinks were a different combo. Baked potato was drier than the box it came in.

Would probably give zero stars if I could.
For the last three delivery orders we have placed, they have forgotten major parts of our order and it takes 1+ hour (s) to receive the missing parts.
Probably shouldn't be so surprised because it's a constant thing for this franchise location.

Food was not great. Very weird flavor profile. Service was subpar but it was very busy when I was in. A good amount of food but I didn't finish cause it did not tast good. Got the veggie pot pie.

Over an hour late! Cold food! And I was only 100 yards up the road. Don't give this restaurant your money. They have no respect for delivery customers.

It was the worst Dinner I ever had in front of me, very long wait for service, got there Xmas dinner and it was terrible pkg dressing cold chicken no table water no salt pepper, so we won’t be back potato fry’s we’re cold also very poor service.

5 minutes to be seated and another 20 minutes for her to say “I’ll be right with you”. That’s when we left. I know there are labour shortages everywhere but Boston Pizza across the street didn’t mind taking our money in a reasonable amount of time.

Double leg meal with fries and no bigger than 2 chicken wings you would get at the local pub for $15. What a joke.

We went on Thanksgiving Monday morning (before noon).

While the service was very friendly and quick, they were out of a lot of the things we wanted, including mashed potatoes and pie. We ordered the Thanksgiving meals, but not having pumpkin pie with our dinner was a disappointment.

I understand being busy over Thanksgiving weekend, but they should have been more prepared (ie ordered more pie, more mashed potato mix, etc).

A final note.they should have provided some kind of discount on the Thanksgiving feast, given there was no pie, but they still charged us full price. Lindor chocolates are not an adequate replacement for pie.
