Swiss Chalet

Well! We stopped into your restaurant for a meal this evening. It was very disappointing to say the least. We were seated at 5: 25pm placed our order immediately and were served at 6: 10pm. There were only 6 other customers in the dining room. Anyway, our food arrived… the fries looked like they had been in the fryer a few times, over cooked and less than Luke warm. The pickle served with the burger looked like it had been sitting on the counter all day. See photo. The ribs were dry, bland and cold, along with the chicken (cold). I gave you 1 star because that was the lowest I could give. Oh! And Manager don’t bother giving me the obviously pre-written apology. Not all of us are that naive. It’s been 3 years since we were there, we truly hoped it would be better. Not coming back.

Server advised that she could not provide appetizer of choice with coupon offer, after discussing she got manager who looked over coupon and said give it to them.
Food come cold and appetizer served with it, not prior. Ordered gravey instead of chalet sauce, it came with Chalet sauce, then they charged us for the gravey.
Worst dining experience I have ever had. Server was polite though.

Food fine, service fine, Really surprised they charge extra dollar each for gravy and cranberry sauce. Seems really chintz for a company this size. It's not the money, it's just such a low brow move. Owner should be embarrassed!

I had a small issue with an online order, but after speaking to a very helpful person in store, they quickly got it sorted out and went above and beyond to make sure I got my lunch. Will definitely be back.

To be honest, I don't know how this order made it to my door.

I have ordered dinner on door dash multiple times from Swiss Chalet and continuously get incorrect or missing items. My last order, I didn't receive 3 items in my delivery. I didn't get a call or notification to adjust it to get reimbursed.

Items missed were dessert, a salad and another side. I paid $80+ for two people to eat a bit of chicken and a crusty bread bun.

Poor communication and disappointing experience.

Service staff were doing their best to keep folks happy but they seemed to struggle. Half the dining area was closed in darkness while a line up grew at the door.many people turned and left. There was no white chicken meat or baked potato. Not the festive place it used to be back in the day. Fresh management might be needed to attract more staff, boost morale and make sure there's enough food around to feed visitors.

Fries were cold and spongy. Chicken was cold. If you are anywhere near the door there is a cold draft in the winter. Waitress never checked in at any point during the meal. Asked for bill and had to wait like 8 minutes and the restaurant was not busy. Bathrooms were disgusting urinals haven't been cleaned in over a year with big calcium deposits. Paper towel bin overflowing with no dispenser on wall just a roll in the gross counter covered with soap. I do not recommend New Minas Swiss challet. It use to be better.

This place needs help. Staff are overworked and cranky - service is terrible. I had a large take out order for eight people. Was quoted 15 minutes upon order and did not get my food one hour later. They gave my order to someone else and then I had a hard time getting a refund - had to get cash back. The staff lunch time was over by then and we still had no food. Will not go back!

WONT GO BACK! Was not busy when we got here but it still took 10 minutes to get seated. Appetizer (garlic loaf and soup) was good but that was about it! Rice was so dry, fries were undercooked- couldn’t eat either one. Took asking two different waiters just to get napkins. Felt like a BIG waste of money!

Take out - pick up. Food was cold. Had to wait in line at the Harvey’s restaurant for my pick up. Woman ahead of me took 10 minutes to pay for her order. No doubt the reason for my food being cold. Disappointing. Must be a better way to pick up orders.

Horse flies on our food, over cooked chicken tenders, waitress was not friendly, were not finished eating and waitress trying to get our plates, buns were hard, I mean rock hard, cheese bread was under cooked, I could go on and on, horrible experience. Will NEVER return to this restaurant.

I had the chicken club wrap with fries. There were chicken bones and gristle found in the wrap. The sauce on the wrap was almost non-existent as I couldn't taste any of it. There was some brown lettuce on the wrap as well as the tomato used was way overripe it was mushy. It was not a great experience, but once I mentioned the gristle and bones, I did not pay for the order.

Best experience yet.
It has been more than a few years since dining here so we decided to go here for date night.
We showed up around 7pm.
We were seated almost immediately. Got our drinks and our food came out incredibly fast. I got the quarter chicken dinner, which was phenomenal. The meat was juicy and i dont know what they do to the fries but *chefs kiss*. My man got the ribs and wings. He said that it was the best meal he has had in a very long time. We were both impressed with our meals. They were flavorful to say the least.
We left with smiles on or faces and full bellies.

Elizabeth was great. The food was very salty and ribs were ice cold. I couldnt get the wrap because there was no white meat ones left, but I got a chicken sandwhich with white meat? ! I received a discount on the bill of $5 for the poor food. Thanks, but no thanks. Will not be eating here again.

Have been here many times and never been dissatisfied. Food always cooked to my request and never cold. Servers and managers always seem to be happy and accommodating. Totally happy that you have brought back garlic loaf. Thanks. My server was Elizabet and she was very friendly. Made sure order was correct. No wait time. Didn’t know about scene card until she mentioned. Another bonus.

Got there to order takeout and they told me the chicken was being save for dine in the restaurant.

Just went in there and they wouldn’t allow my daughter to sit in her stroller. Nor would they let her sit in a high chair cause it’s supposedly a hazard. I have never had this issue at any other Swiss chalet. If you have kids definitely avoid this place. We left and went elsewhere.

Service was good, Chicken was good. Foreign matter in my pepsi, cole slaw had 10x the dressing it should, slop. Spring roll had a bone in it. Won't be going back.

Waited 40 minutes for our meal while other people who came after us got their meal before us. Over heard people at other table say they waited 45 mins to be served and were not leaving any tip. We watched the take out orders going but nothing for us. After 40 minutes of waiting we left. Would not recommend this Swiss Chalet location to anyone.

Honestly, really disappointed! Wasn't overly busy. All dishes arrived with cold fries. They replaced them but still disappointing. The portions are VERY small in comparison to how they used to be.
$100.00 later.not worth $30. Can't see us supporting this one again
