Sydney Animal Hospital

Sydney Animal Hospital was fantastic. Right from the secretaries, vet tech, and doctors are a perfect 10. Jiggs had an appointment this morning. The tech was great and took great care of our little bundle of joy.

Recently, my Coco, a 10 week old yorkie became quite sick and we (Coco and I) were very fortunate that Dr. Evans was the emergency Veterinarian who examined my girl. I have had her older brother Buster to this Animal Hospital on a couple of occasions prior to this visit and we were both quite satisfied with his care as well. I was however, and remain, thoroughly impressed with the quality of care, concern and consideration we received on this particular visit. I can't thank Dr Evans & Brittany enough. Coco is on the mend!

The compassion shown when my cat was diagnosed with liver disease and had to euthanized was phenomenal.

I could not have asked for a better experience here yesterday with my fur baby Tippi! Thank you so much to Brittany, who was Tippi’s tech. My cat had a sore paw and an ear infection & she’s already starting to feel better! Brittany was extremely kind and caring & was wonderful to help calm my nerves. Dr. MacNeil was also so friendly and kind. Thank you! 5 stars! Our number 1 vet for both of our babies! Would recommend Sydney Animal Hospital to Anyone!

On Friday September 9 2022 I took my sweet odie for her end of life This hospital is simply the best although I lost my best friend these fine professionals handled my sweet girl and myself with respect and dignity I’ve never experienced in my life. Cara you are awesome I can’t remember the Doctors names but you are so caring and made me feel at peace with my decision. I can’t thank you all enough May God bless you all and I will never forget

The staff and Dr. Parker are all very kind and considerate. It was a longer wait than expected, but it was worth it.

They took my dog in on short notice and as always, treated him great. Nothing but good things to say about the Vets and the staff there. They always go out of their way to help my pups.

Dr. Parker no doubt is the best vet in Sydney as well as her veterinarian team they have fantastic caring people there I share this because of my own personal experience

From Ontario needed help with our 17 Westie Jake sadly we had to put him to sleep. But the ladies were very gentle and caring we are forever grateful. Thanks.

Amazing! We were on vacation at Albert Bridge and our 8 month old Golden required an Emergency Visit. Not one local vet would accept us until we finally reached out to Sydney animal hospital. We are thankful that Dr Parker and Staff treated our dog as a delay would have left us dealing with an infection. Thanks

If you want your prescriptions to go missing and to deal with people who don't know how to fax it to other vets and pharmacies then try to charge you for the paper so you can then fax it yourself this is the perfect place to go.
If you want any competent service I'd try elsewhere.

Very busy spot, but great service and care for our dog. Explained everything and provided treatment options. They have been our go to spot when ever our pets have had problems. Will continue to trust them with our animal family.

Only place I will take our pets. Staff are wonderful! They take great care in making sure our animals are well cared for! I gladly travel to Sydney for our vet rather than go closer and get subpar service.

Over priced, unprofessional, I have had a few issues with them, I only kept my dog as a client there due to long wait list at other vets; however, I had enough with them. Very displeased how the service went down the drain went to them for over 15 years

I have been taking my fur babies there for more than 15 years and over the course of time they were always there for me. Sometimes I had difficult decisions to make and the doctors would spend as much time as I required discussing the situation and options. I never has the feeling that it's all about the money, they are a compassionate and caring team that work closely with you.

Great staff, very knowledgeable and attentive. I’ve brought my dog here for an emergency and the staff were efficient, thorough and very understanding, and everything worked out ok. Pre-registration of your pet is recommended, this can be done online. I also use their services for medication refills for me dog. Recommended.

Dr Ruth is absolutely unbelievable with fur babies. Makes every furry family member feel happy first, the way it should be

Prices were really high, helped our dog in the short term but we had to go back for more treatments which did not guarantee results and she still has problems with her ear

I absolutely love Sydney animal hospital, they have always treated my dogs with the best care they could ever receive.

They have a great system to provide service during pandemic restrictions. Staff are very friendly helpful and empathetic. The vet we spoke with, Dr. Parker, is very helpful and takes her time to explain things well and ensure the information is understood.

My girl sissy was sick, but I didn't realize how much. She's little but she is 18. They took good care of her, and gave me lots of advice.

They are wonderful! Helped me greatly, and such nice, kind people! Very gentle with the animals also!

No better Animal Hospital in the Maritimes. The latest technology. Super friendly and knowledgabe staff. Sparkling clean. The owner Ruth is an angel. The only place to take your loved ones.

I honest can't say enough good things about Dr. Nicholson. His approach was incredible with my 9 year old great Dane who is usually very scared. He took the time to develop a relationship with her, and was extremely knowledgeable about many topics. His treatment wasn't just geared towards taking care of the physical aspects but also the long term emotional support and relationship a vet and animal should have. Extremely impressed considering other vets have just sedated her for exams ect. He wanted to use that as a last resort, which was such a relief. By the end of the visit with some extra love/lots of treats he was able to examine a knee injury without any type of sedation or restraints. Also the front desk staff who took us to get weighed was absolutely lovely and perfect in dealing with our girl. Thank you all again ️.

The staff are always friendly and eager to help. Our pup seen Dr. Parker and she was fantanstic with him. We are new to Sydney and our pets will definitely be staying patients of hers.

I took my puppy in for her second vaccines, staff at the front desk we're very kind and friendly, however, the vet herself (an older womanw), was beyond dreadful. Now I know vets try to get you to spend unnecessary money for their own benefit but this was rediculous. When she administered the needle she did not make a tent for the skin just jabbed it in and when the dog winced she pulled it out and jabbed her again. Then said puppies CAN be given deworm treatment a number amount of times as puppies, can, not have to be given. I asked if this was nessessary and she indirectly told me no but yes at the same time then proceeded and said "I'm going to give this to her if you don't mind" not informing me if it was dire or at any more cost to myself and then suggested I pay for deworm pills as well? I asked if she knew anything about switching over microchip information as she had one when we got her, she scanned her chip and compared it to make sure it was correct and said she was not able to help. She asked us if she had had diarrhea and or vommiting, we replied not since we've had her we feed her authority brand all life stages she loves it, she eats till she's full does not over eat and shes growing fast and is generally a very healthy happy pup! We were strictly told not to feed her anything but puppy food and we're advised to change her food. When all was said and done we went to pay for her needles. The receptionist says "so just the needles and the microchip? " She alrey had one we did not get one there. She took it off the price and asked again if we wanted the deworm pills after she already took the siringe which we were told was free of charge.we denied the pills and proceeded to pay. Overall we paid over $100 for her second vaccines. Service was aweful will not be returning that's for sure!

I had to put my cat and Best friend in the world to sleep on Thursday afternoon because he fell and hurt his back paw and started to throw blood clots. So I took him in to Sydney Animal Hospital to get checked out and they were all really nice, kind, helpful and professional to me in my time of incredible sorrow. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO any Pet Lovers and owners. I gave them a 5 star rating because that is the highest level that there is but in my opinion they are true ANGELS each and every one of them.signed=Tom Brennan.
