Our go to taco spot in Halifax! The staff here are always friendly and the food is always delicious.

These were, hands down, the best tacos I’ve ever had. I’ve had tacos across Canada and these blew me away. And the churros! I don’t think I’ve ever had churros this good. I cannot wait for a return visit.

The server was also very nice and knowledgeable and helped us navigate our first time here perfectly.

Ordered 4 tacos for 2 people. 2 veg and 2 avocado. And in all honesty I wasn’t expecting it to fill me up but I wasn’t expecting so little for the cost either. At 5 bucks a taco, anyone would expect a decent sized taco. But for the size they gave I would say a fair price would be around 3-3.50. Anything more is just daylight robbery.

Best tacos in Halifax and their burrito will ruin other burritos for you forever. I love the staff here and the ambiance is quite lovely.

Delicious, flavourful & freshly made! The tacos are pricy at $5 each, that’s why I go on Taco Tuesday, they’re $4! The tortillas are fresh & authentic. The guacamole was delicious, a good size & came with a ton of chips, which seemed to be pita based & made in house with a nice seasoning. Very small family owned spot which I prefer, and I love that it’s outside of downtown Halifax (lots of parking!).

I love good mexican food! Since spending time in south america I always look for meals closer to the southern taste.
These were very authentic and tasted amazing! I got one of each and definitely the Brisket and chorizo were personal favourites.

Guacamole was also very good, you can taste the freshness.
Definitely recommend this spot, support local and food was absolutely amazing. Worth the price.

Normally, I would give a 3 stars, but the tacos are pretty good. I just wish they had more options like cow tongue.

Really nice place to eat. Good and tasty tacos. Locals often go so there's generally someone at supper time. But it's worth a trip off the beaten path if you like tacos. The interior is cozy and fairly tight for seating. The tacos do travel well. In the summer they have some picnic tables out front that are fun to eat at.

A great neighbourhood gem with fair prices for quality food. Small but varied and tasty menu. They seem to be so popular now that it's hard to find a seat and I worry about quality as they scale, however, I doubt that will happen because even though they're insanely busy running around the staff were so kind!

Bundle up if you’re going here in the winter! It’s literally FREEZING. That’s my only complaint as the price is good, food is great and the staff are very friendly. Seriously though, wear a jacket if you’re dining in!

The worst experience ever. I don’t know how people are sharing such a good review but honestly this place isn’t worth it for a price. I have ordered guacamole and nachos but as you can see in photo the nachos were completely crushed. I also have ordered veggie tacos and there was just a tacos and veggie. And the price was 5$ for 1 tacos where there were no cheese no beans at all also no salsa so according to me the food isn’t worth it compared to the price.

Awesome taco joint. Really great place to sit and enjoy the decor and music. Tried their burrito today and was pleasantly surprised. Not like anything else you can get in Halifax.

HIDDEN GEM! One of the BEST taco places in Canada. All tacos are extremely authentic with full of flavours. Small tortillas are perfect for fillings with fresh and delicious proteins are second to none. The Mexican rice is also really great to get with the tacos. I recommend their fish, chorizo and suadero tacos. If you haven’t tried Churros yet, THEY ARE AMAZING!

The tacos and food here are average, and not really worth it. The fish taco and guac are good. The beans and the rice dishes are terrible. Overall, you can probably make better Mexican food at home.

Fast and friendly service, small cozy spot. We went during their Taco Tuesday special and it was quite busy so keep that in mind if planning to visit.

My only minor grievance was I wish they had more hot sauce! Still worthy of 5 stars, but some house made hot sauce would really make them stand out even more.

Absolutely delicious. My partner and I shared 1 each of brisket, pork, beef, chicken and fish tacos and all of them were so good. (Faves were the chicken and the brisket).

Food is excellent and very friendly service. I heavily suggest the brisket taco. Pickup orders seem to bale a large part of their business but there is sit-down dinning as well.

Small and nice place to eat mexican tacos. As a mexiacn, I can say taht these tacos are very close to real tacos from Mexico city. They are served with home-made guacamole and a green spicy sauce. Home-made chorizo, grilled beef, "pastor", and "suadero" tacos. Do not forget the drinks: jarritos. A famous drink from Mexico city. My favourite is guava. Very nice taste and place. Thanks.

Finally decided to hit up the authentic Mexican cuisine spot in my neighborhood and I'm very glad I did. It's a small spot so it gets a little crowded inside at dinner time but they have outdoor seating and take out.
Customer service was excellent and the tacos superb.
I enjoyed the brisket and chicken tacos with a side of rice and topped it off with a Corona to remind me of my days traveling to Mexico, what seems like forever ago now.

Super misleading pictures on Uber Eats, they have pictures of several tacos when you only get one micro taco for each. I ordered what I thought was enough for two people and it came in a half size take out container.

Although some of the tacos were delicious (the fish and brisket), overall disappointed in the experience. Would not recommend the chorizo, vegetable, tofu or pork. The beans were also terrible. They tasted like nothing, just beans in water.

Not impressed. We ordered 8 tacos they all came in one box and 2 of the tacos were were empty with the filling spead accross the box. Do not recommend

Great place for tacos of many different kinds. I particularly liked the brisket tacos. Guacamole was yummy. Service was great and the $5 Corona was an additional treat.

The flavour of the taco fillings was excellent. They serve only corn tortillas and they are the best I've ever had.soft, not mealy or gritty! Only 4 stars because I found the meat portion small for a $4.50 taco. Staff were great & very helpful. Access by stairs only with no ramp options.

I have to say these tacos were amazing. They're not your classic Barrio taco stand tacos so don't expect to pay 2$ for them, but the slightly higher prices are worth the high quality ingredients and excellent service. This tiny restaurant provides a very casual spot to meet up with friends, if you don't mind rubbing elbows. Given that this is one of the best rated restaurants in halifax, I would call ahead because it may fill up quick. Still this place is a definite must visit in my book.

Limited menu, but if you love tacos they are attractive and delicious. A nice and friendly family business. Very clean inside too!

Excellent tacos, reasonable prices, very nice staff to interact with. One small thing is that I’ve gotten tacos with and without sauce/salsa on the side. I’m not sure if it’s always meant to be included, or it was thrown in as a freebie, but it really added to the tacos so I’d ask for this in the future.

Good food but pretty ill equipped to handle more than a couple customers at a time. Ordered 6 tacos with no cilantro, got 5 tacos 4 of which had cilantro. Went in and explained and was told we'd get a fixed up order. We got 2 of the original order with no cilantro but were still missing one from the original order and 2 replacements made to order. Wasn't so busy that it should have been that tough to put an order together correctly.

Tako Loko is a cute little restaurant serving Mexican Cuisine with a focus on, you guessed it, Tacos! They make a variety of different tacos, all just as equally delicious as the next. Located in the North End of Halifax, their little restaurant is small, seating a maximum of 12 people so make sure if you want to dine-in, to make a reservation. Aside from this however, they serve delicious food very quickly, and can even order for take-out if you’re looking for the experience at-home. 5 stars from me for excellent food, and excellent service.

Ordered tacos and Mexican rice. Unfortunately we got these bland beans in water instead of rice. We didn’t eat them and were left having to cook more food to fill us. The tacos were great though and we will definitely try them again!
Ordered through Uber eats and we were refunded for the wrong item- I would recommend pickup to future customers

Absolutely delicious food. I have a garlic allergy and Tako Loko has lots of options for me, which is hard to find usually. Had excellent service from Shannon, who was very attendant to our table and pleasant to speak with. Would definitely come again!
