Delicious, fresh and hot food. Fast and friendly service. Street parking. Large restaurant with plenty of seating.

I ate here twice while in Halifax. I had Pad Thai one night and Spicy Noodles the next. The Pad Thai was a lot sweeter than any I have ever had before and would have benefited from a squeeze of lime but it was hot, tasty and the portion size was very generous.
Service was quick and friendly. When I arrived the second night and the server asked how I was, I mentioned I was cold and she offered hot water to drink instead of iced. I would not have thought to ask for that and it was greatly appreciated!

Absolutely amazing place! The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was simply amazing. I ordered the black pepper beef and it was not too spicy but had just the right amount of peppery flavor. The beef was tender and the mushrooms were cooked perfectly as they were not rubbery but still had a little bit to them.

We went around 1pm on a weekday so it was quiet, but the takeout orders were booming! We also had a sleepy baby with us so we didn't

We got the lunch specials: chicken Pad Thai (big serving, recommend sharing), Beef Panang Curry, and Masamun Beef Curry. We definitely had leftovers after but it was all so good, it was hard to stop. The curry specials come with a bowl of rice and a spring roll.

Staff was super friendly; greeted our son and when he fell asleep, approached us quietly with each interaction.

I never leave reviews for anything but this place was so bomb! Proper and such good Thai food and the server was so nice and amazing!

Very generic, and somewhat greasy, Thai-ish food. The fresh spring rolls were good. The ginger tofu and pad Thai were meh. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere is nice. But I won't be back.

Not a traditional version of Thai food, but great taste. Pad Thai should have Beansprount not carrot or something exchanged.

Prices going up, but still a good deal.and can get you your food in time to get back to work by 1.if you order somthing more expensive like beef, you get less, where as chicken or noodle dishes have higher quantity.this makes sense since everything has a fixed price for the lunch special

Excellent lunch menu and great service. Ambience is so, so. Pleasant enough, but too large and echoing to feel cosy or intimate. Great for a work lunch.

Prices were reasonable. Everything was well-prepared, tasty and nicely presented. The bathrooms were the cleanest I have seen.

Great tasting food with good flavour and presentation, but portions are a bit small and a bit of an upset stomach afterwards. Would go back but maybe something not as oily. Great atmosphere with lots of space but might be better with condiments on the table like sauces and other regular table condiments.

I ordered pennang cury prawns and Pineapple fried rice. They were very good! Good Service and atmosphere, nice thai music on background.

It’s not an authentic Thai restaurant since the cook is not from Thai. But so far it’s a the good Thai restaurant that I’ve tried in Halifax.
At ice cream for $2 extra to my mango sticky rice dessert. The mango here is not that good since it doesn’t come from the tropical country (would not recommend). Finally don’t know why they have Thai tea but don’t serve Thai milk tea which is the most popular drink.
Still worth a try.
I love when they give extra cream and sugar when i order a pot of tea.

Oh My! You always seem to come across people who say this Thai foos place is the best, but this one really is! Large portions, good prices, and the very best spring rolls ever!

FANTASTIC! Service is prompt and courteous. Portions are generous. Price is very reasonable. I would give this place a 6 out of 5 if I could.

Always the most flavorful dishes. Great portions for an unbeatable price. For the price of a mcdonalds combo, you could enjoy an amazing dining experience. Always such a treat. This has been my goto place for thai food for 15 years now. You can taste so many flavors in one dish. I reccomend the pat cha KAI, (a little spicy) but an amazing meal and my goto.

Great location and reasonably good food for the price. No complaints. Will go back. We got the chicken satay, which was kind of average, but the hot and sour soup and one of the curries are quite good.

I find this to be the best tasting Thai food that I have tried in Halifax. Though the last few times the flavours have not been as good as pre covid. I'd rather pay more for the same great flavour then pay the same and have the quality slip.

The place and service was really good, but the taste was average. Was pretty disappointed with the chicken satay and mango sticky rice. The mains were decent. Nothing special.

Been there a few times. Decent food, good quantities. Panang Curry is pretty decent. They have a dessert with mango, forgot the name, but it was delicious.

Quality has recently gone down. Lots of onion instead of vegetables in my soup. I know times are tough, but reducing quality eventually means lost customers.

I have to Update. Still giving 5 Stars. I am stuck with my son In the iwk. We have been here over a month and I have ordered from this place sooo many times and it is still absolutely amazing. Just placed another order over skip the dishes. From all the restaurants I have ordered this is my favorite place in halifax.

My favorite dish is the pineapple fried rice w/seafood served INSIDE the pineapple.
This is my 3rd.no 4th visit this year I believe. Mmmmm!

Amazing food and staff. Shared Pad Seew, green curry and ginger vegetable with friends and they were all 10/10. Cocktails were also delicious and cheap. Highly recommend

I normally have great experiences at Talay Thai, but today was really bad. I had egg shells in my Pad Seew. It just was a very unpleasant experience this time. Hoping they correct this.

Talay Thai is my favourite spot to grab Thai food in Halifax. Their menu is very vast with lots of good thai options. The owners are super friendly, and when I have been able to eat in, the service has been great. If you’re looking for good Thai food in the Peninsula, this is the spot!

Stopped in here for lunch and the service was friendly and quick. Food was hot and price was reasonable (ordered off the lunch menu).

Pretty good Thai food in the heart of Hali! They just moved and are renovating their newer location but good ambiance for a Thai Resto. I am very picky with Thai food but I enjoy this each time I have it. I’ve had better but this is still really great Thai.

My family really likes coming to this restaurant great food great atmosphere great prices and if you want to get things really spicy this is the place to go.

I recommend checking your order before leaving with take away. The fish, as well the red curry were very good but other items missing from order.

This has been the best Thai restaurant I have been to! The pad Thai could not be better! They weren't too saucy and was full of flavour, I loved the thinly sliced chicken and tofu! I also had the fried spring rolls and just wow! Now I know how spring rolls should taste! They were so fresh in taste and had a little ginger in them and it came with a sweet Thai chilli sauce that's made in house! No restaurant will ever compare to this one! The prices and portions just omg! Don't hesitate just eat here! Now I have to find the pad Thai recipe like theirs!

The only reason I go there is the spicy noodles. It's a noodle dish close to Pad Thai but has way more vegetables and chicken and as the name suggests, it's spicy. The restaurant has a fairly modest interior but for a quick lunch you can't go wrong. It's never packed on a weekend and service is pretty fast.

Ordered chicken pad Thai but it was very bland and flavourless. No veggies in the chicken pad Thai at all and barely any bean sprouts or basil. The salad rolls were good though. Need to step up their game.

We started by sharing a bowl of Tom Kha soup. Then our entrees were Masaman curry with pork and the deep fried sea bass with red curry. This was a lot of food for two people and the waiter was a bit surprised there were no leftovers to box and take home; as we are staying in a hotel, leftovers are not practical.

The food served here has an interesting palette compared to most other Thai restaurants. Almost as if a lot more or the cook's passion for the cuisine and the tradition of the items is made more prevalent; you can taste the love that is put into the items. I was never one for desserts after a meal but the helping of mango and rice with vanilla ice cream hit a flavour element I never expected to enjoy. The only item I was adamantly against getting was one of the rice dishes that had the audacity to feature raisins.

La nourriture est absolument excellente: une vraie experience Thai! Très bien accueilli; le personnel est souriant et bienveillant. On y reviendra, c’est certain!

10 years ago my husband and I lived in Halifax and would eat here anytime we had a special occasion or enough money as poor students. I always ordered the Cashew Tofu and was never disappointed. When we moved away, every thai restaurant we went to I always ordered the Cashew Tofu. Multiple restaurants in Toronto and Montreal were unable to measure up. We recently moved back to Nova Scotia and I finally was able to get an order of Cashew Tofu (via takeout.) We had to drive an hour to get home with it and after a quick reheat in the microwave, it still lived up to what I remembered. It's been 2 days and I'm already craving it again.

Had the Tom Yam soup with Prawns and the Chicken Red Curry. Both were perfect. I look forward to returning.

Food is really great, but the server is really bad. We really wanted to talk to the manager but she's not around. We might never come back because of that server.

Nice staff. Asked for extra broccoli and it wasn't fresh, not impressive.when I pay for something extra that's a clear indication that I want that part to be great.

I'm torn because the food is always amazing but the service just lacks so much. There with a large group and probably should have been able to sell us twice the amount of beverages that they did simply because they never came by for large periods of time. 20+ minutes everytime. Food was excellent as always.

Always consistently good with food and service. Generous portions and yummy food. We had both the fried and fresh spring rolls, delish! Mango salad: a bit tart and so fresh with cilantro.and pad thai with shrimp. Pair that with green tea and you leave with a full and happy belly. Top that with reasonable prices - it's great!

Just finished a fantastic meal. Had satay chicken, spring rolls, shrimp chips, seafood soup, pad Thai and sweat & sour pork. Everything was delicious and fresh. Without question the best pad Thai I’ve ever had. Service was great, very friendly. We had some question regarding how some dishes were made, our waitress was very helpful. Food wait time was fair and prices are good. Large portions. Satay chicken skewers were juicy, not greasy. Several gluten free options available. The restaurant was clean and smelled good once walking in. Left feeling great.

Love this place. The best Thai food, I just wish I could get this delivered to Newfoundland. This is my first stop when traveling to Halifax.

If I want to eat best phat thai in halifax, I definetly visit this place! Prawn phat thai was soooo great. The portion of this one was a lot.

Everything we ordered was delicious, fresh & affordable. The Spring Rolls were light & crispy. If you were traveling from the cruise port it is an easy quick walk.

Service was kind and quick. Our meals arrived within 10 minutes, and they were absolutely delicious. The best red curry I've had in a very long time.
