Best Lebanese food in Halifax! I have it every time I come to the city, the veggie platter is so flavourful and a very generous portion.

I love their wraps and hummus! They also give you a soup while wait for your meal, really nice of them.

Great food and service. Free soups were offered while we were waiting. The owner was super nice! Highly recommend!

Wonderful! Has a lovely atmosphere, the staff are very friendly and more than willing to make recommendations. We had the veggie platter and the falafel plate and both were excellent vegetarian options! One warning, they only accept cash so bring some along or use the ATM they have on site.

Fantastic food, but I didn't see any lunch specials posted so it's a bit on the pricey side for lunch. Would be good value for dinner though.

Delicious Middle Eastern cuisine. The 'Half And Half' with chicken and beef on a bed of rice along with a side salad, hummus and pitas bread, tajiki sauce is our staple 'go to' meal there. Add a few falafels and grape wrapped dolmas you won't be disappointed. Cash only. See you there!

I ate here for the first time yesterday for lunch. I was greeted and immediately offered a small bowl of soup, free of charge. They even let me try a sample of something else that I still can't pronounce, but it was amazing. I had the chicken shawarma pita and a side of the stuff I sampled (in the bowl in the photo). I don't have to have supper because the pita was huge. Subway is next door, but I'd sooner go to Tarek's anytime. Prices, food, and atmosphere are so much better.

Best shwarma in the province, taste is perfect and they aren't stingy with the garlic sauce.
Tareks has always been a great place to stop while in the area. And will 100% continue to be.

Unique dishes, large portions, family business. Cash only is a pain but I get it. You definitely need to try it. Lots of options for the vegan in your life.

I took a short trip to Halifax & Really wanted to try local famous shawarma before leaving however I was confused where to go. After reading some great reviews, we gave a chance to this place & I can undoubtedly say they mixed their love and care in the food and amazing service. Today, I tasted the best shawarma, falafel, and hummus in my life yet so far. Thank you for the recommendations for the dishes and free samples. Friendly ambience and hospitality. I will for sure visit this place on my next visit.

There's sufficient parking, and 1 accesible parking spot due to being located in a mini plaza. The restaurant entrance is not wheelchair accessible as there's a 1 to 2 inch lip. They offer CASH ONLY payment. There's an ATM machine in there, but it didn't work. The people working behind the counter are all very friendly and patient. The food is very tasty, flavourful, and culturaly authentic. I certainly recommend people visit this place despite its minor dificiencies. I would have given the place a higher rating for its excellent food. However, having a cash only payment option and not being wheelchair friendly influenced my vote.

Wow! Delicious Middle Eastern / Lebanese food, super friendly staff & owner and good sized portions. Underrated gem in Halifax. Highly recommend the Kefta Kebab dinner AND the mix shawarma plate with falafel, they are to die for! But beware it is cash only (there is an ATM and bank nearby)

I walked in and imediatly was greated with excellent customer service, i got waved over to taste test a lentil soup, it was AMAZING!
Had a taste of soup while I waited on my freshly squeezed juice, and omg, I am hooked! 5 stars for not only exceptional food and juice, but for the warm welcome and hospitality!

It was my first time here, The staffs are very welcoming and give u a bowl of soup while u wait for your food.
The food was amazing, their Shrimps and calamari were my favorite.

What can I say, if you haven’t eaten here.you should. The staff is welcoming and friendly, making any new customer feel like a regular they’ve been serving for years. The menu is large and varied, and every customer instantly gets a complementary bowl of soup while you wait for your order to be ready. The only sticking point is the lack of payment options beyond cash (ATM on site).

So many great flavors. While you're waiting in line they give you soup. It's like being is someones home. Very welcoming and delicious.

Amazing food definitely getting enough food to fill you up! Manager himself came in and checked on us to see what we thought, really enjoyed the free lentil soup! Highly recommend the half and half plate

The BEST food in Halifax, hands down. If you like mediterranean food, eat here. It doesn't matter where I am, if I want mediterranean food, I go here. Tarek is the nicest man, and the staff are awesome! Couldn't recommend a better restaurant.

Staff was super friendly. You also get samples of whichever soup/chili they have on. Their food is delicious and the space is cozy. Feels like your eating at home.
