The food is as like as pakistani the food was very delicious.and the afghani platter was very tasty

Good place for family dining, food always tastes same for me from last 2years. Dishes are not overly prices as per located in city.

I know being a reader you’d like to know about the food before anything.

Here it is,
We had a great experience and I suggest to go for it without a second thought.
We ordered
Tandoori Chicken - I am fida. It was super tasty
Garlic Naan - Excellent
Lamb curry - Quantity more than expected and very good taste
Cheese Kulcha - Good! Worth trying new but be aware of cheese which fills stomach and you can’t have your favourite dishes.
Basmati rice - not 100% cooked but eatable. It could be the issue of that particular day.

Wanted to try Biryani but cheese kulcha turned down the plan.

About the environment and service - The best! I have to mention that all the employees are great with their service but the employee Sangeetha responds to everything with her beautiful smile.

Make sure you reserve a table before you go otherwise wait time may exceed 30 mins.

We entered this restaurant without a pre plan. We were hungry roaming in Halifax waterfront and food court was closed.

I have been living in Halifax since 1 and half year and I wonder why none of my friends suggested this!

The food was not tasty and the service was very unwelcoming. First time came here and never going back. Idk when will i find a decent indian restaurant.

Personally I loved their food, proper spice level with optimum taste so I must say they serve Good food, Quick Serve with decent customer service. I would say try their Hakka Noodles and Lamb Biriyani.

So on the menu it says ther poutine is 9.99 so I order two and a drink when it arrived they charged me 18$ each plus a 7 dollar delivery fee in the future I'll be ordering somewhare else

So, They literally opened their kitchen early to make me some samosas, in between lunch and dinner service. And they were amazing. If you go downtown without getting a snack from this place you are doing it wrong. Phenomenal!

The food is consistently excellent: our favourites are the aloo gobi and pakora. We live in Mississauga but always order from here when we’re visiting Halifax.

Worst experience ever, we was waiting someone to take our order, and there were three servers in front us, continuously ignoring us, then my friend go to the container and order food, and the girl serve us was extremely rude, no sense of service and when we got our food that has more spice the n normal (not edible). I never had this much worst food ever.

This is not related to the taste or the ambience. This is regarding customer service - there were lot of empty tables (i literally counted and it was more than 5 free tables) available when we came in for dine in and they added the name in wait list. When inquired the reason, they claim there were bookings made by people but no one showed up. The person in the front desk mentioned that people made booking for 7 pm and did not show up till 7.40 pm. We were made to wait for 15 mins and then told there is no guarantee that we will be called. Really surprised with their policy! Waiting for someone who is late by 40 mins and making someone ready to dine in wait cannot be appreciated. I had my 75 year old father accompanying me, I asked if he can sit during the waiting time and they did not allow that as well. Big thumbs down So if you wanna have food, you have to wait for hours even if there are empty tables.

Really good food and prices. Very affordable and good quantity. Highly recommend.
Kadai Chicken and Chicken Tikka masala are really good.

Best Indian food I’ve had in Halifax. The Butter Chicken was nice and spicy, and the Dal Makhani was thick and creamy.

Also, the portions are huge - a half portion is easily enough for two people, and everything is very reasonably priced. You will definitely have leftovers to take home!

Absolutely amazing, best Indian food I've had in Halifax so far! Staff is super nice, prices are great, food is DELICIOUS, and very filling/great portions. Ive tried the butter chicken combo, curry chicken combo, and the dal makhani (?) Sorry I can't remember how to spell it.and they were all fantastic. Anyways, 10/10 you should absolutely try it.

Great Food and good service. The owner and servers mentioned the meat is halal. A halal certificate would add a bit more authenticity

Only restaurant apparently in the entire HRM which serves authentic food. Just Amazing, I bet you try any dish it will be best. I have tried many here.

Its near the Halifax harbourfront parking which is very convenient. We were 2 and ordered hakka veg noodles. The quantity was good if you wanna have good filling light meal but can order a side dish too for proper meal. The service was quick and the noodles were delicious. Would visit again.

Only Indian restaurant I tried in Halifax. And I am sure this must be the best one in town.
So delicious and moderately spicy.
Everything was good.
Naan, gravies, tandoori chicken. Even the Jeera rice.

This review is long overdue. We absolutely love Tawa Grill. Our favorite Indian restaurant in Halifax. We've tried almost all of the Indian dishes on the menu and all of them have been great. We especially love their tandoori chicken, mutton curry and the chicken tikka masala. Can't wait to visit again
