The Beach Pea Kitchen & Bar

One of the top places in Nova Scotia! We had the fresh oysters, beef tartare, octopus (grilled just right), carbonara and the rabbit risotto dishes. The food was fresh, well seasoned, and plated gracefully. The cocktails were also delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and the staff in the kitchen was working very hard. It was just a very pleasant experience overall. I would definitely be back to try out their menu in other seasons and bring more people in here.

Cool restaurant in the heart of Lunenburg. Be sure to reserve! Creative fish dishes and very nice service. We were thrilled.

Came here for dinner with my in-laws and husband and oh my goodness, we were all so impressed! Super cozy atmosphere, great location, DELICIOUS food and great wine recommendations! I had the scallops a la bomba and basically licked the plate clean. We all shared the grilled octopus appetizer which was another hit. We will definitely be back during our next trip to Lunenburg!

One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time. The food was truly outstanding. It was delicious and impeccably displayed. The delicate design of the restaurant makes it an inviting dining experience. The staff were genuinely nice and efficient with their service. This is a must eat at restaurant if you’re in Lunenburg.

Good service. One diner's food was good, the other was poor. Referred to our server who cascaded up to the kitchen, a refund made but no apology.

We had a wonderful meal here tonight, looked after by Britney. We booked via OpenTable.

I had a cocktail - "Unseasonably Tanned” - which is a good reflection of me at the moment. My wife had a Propeller non-alcoholic beer.

We shared the burrata to start, which was delicious. For mains, I had the aubergine pasta, my wife the scallops. We both enjoyed our dishes.

We had one of the little two-seatet booths, very cosy.

The atmosphere is good, the open kitchen lets you see the chefs at work.

Would highly recommend.

We had a delicious meal at the Beach Pea Kitchen and Bar on Wednesday evening. The Oysters were fresh, the drinks were delicious and our pastas were perfect! But I have to say my favourite part of the meal was dessert. The cheesecake and the flourless chocolate cake were both superb. Our service was also friendly and very quick! This will definitely be a regular stop when we are in Lunenberg!

Amazing spot! It was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Raw scallops were certainly the highlight and a first for us. The octopus and tartare were also incredible. Very satisfied and portions were substantial given the high quality ingredients. Will certainly be back!

Excellent meal at the beach pea! Started with tuna tartare that was fresh and flavorful.continued with the housemade squid ink pasta with fresh seafood.scallops and shrimp were perfectly cooked, pasta was light and the red sauce was well balanced.merguez sausage is delicious but this pasta would have been just as good with just the seafood.

The place was busy and I was by myself, so naturally I sat at the bar. I was greatly served by Shane and Bailey, great conversations!

This spot was recommended to us by a few people in Halifax while we were at a restaurant there as the best spot to eat in Lunenburg and it was so good! Super fresh seafood, a very delicious tartare and great cocktails. Very glad we were able to get a late last minute reservation! Can't wait to get back there next time we travel out from Toronto!

We had a nice supper at the Beach Pea Kitchen while staying in Lunenburg. The service was good and the food was great. The cocktails and lemon curd desert were a bit disappointing but rest was lovely. We really liked that you can order wine by the half liter! We would definitely recommend eating here!

Views great. Good great. Bonus is they had a few vegetarian options & we tried all of them. We had the burrata to start, the gnocchi & pasta alla norma. We shared some wine & tried their cocktails which were nice too. Finished with dessert even though we were beyond full because everything else was just soo tasty.

A little bit pricy to be honest. I ordered carbonara and it was very good, lots of meat in it. Just a little more pasta would make it perfect.

Had such an amazing dinner here. Started off with fresh local oysters as an appetizer. I then had local scallops for dinner which were to die for. Tiramisu for dessert, finished off the delicious meal. I would highly recommend and will be back next time I'm in town.

The most fitting word to sum up our evening at the Beach Pea is “outstanding”. From accommodating our seating request, to the delightful sense of humour of our hostess, the exquisite pre-dinner drinks, the attentive and flawless wait staff, and the delicious food, the entire experience was, in fact, outstanding. For upscale dining in Lunenburg, the Beach Pea is our new go-to restaurant.

Exceptional restaurant! Excellent meals, excellent drinks, excellent desserts. Would absolutely recommend and would absolutely return!

This place is absolutely fantastic. I sat at the bar and, the bartender was one of the best I've ever seen. He loves his craft and is a sociable person. The food was a great example of the local food scene and was outstandingly presented and tasted. The place is out of this world good.

We adore this restaurant in Lunenburg. Twice Stephen has been our server and he does not disappoint. He is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He always reccomends excellent wine pairings with the dishes we choose. We were also greeted by Madison who was simply delightful. As for food, they offer the BEST tuna tartare! I highly recommend the pasta sepia or the shrimp pasta, both very flavorful and fresh. I recently tried the scallop rabbit rissotto. Wowwww! It is such a unique dish, the cranberry and nuts compliment it all incredibly and of course the scallops are to die for. Beach Pea, we love you. Until next time.

They met us with such kindness. We were celebrating our engagement which they acknowledged as soon as we walked in the door. Was an amazing meal!

Dinner was exceptional both nights we visited Lunenburg. So tasty, great atmosphere and very friendly service. Made our stay, thanks to staff, it was a highlight of our stay.

We had the most delicious meal. Started with oysters & smoked salmon app, then I had the scallops and beans dish, my partner had the scallop & rabbit risotto dish. All of the dishes were sublime and we highly recommend them all. The restaurant was cozy and the staff were great!

This place was busy, but somehow was able to accommodate us at the last moment outside on the adorable heated patio. I’m so grateful bc we had such an enjoyable experience. The cocktails were incredible, and our food took centre stage. The seared scallops blew me away and so did the fresh oysters. I can’t wait to come back!

Went here for dinner with my mom tonight. I had the Scallop and rabbit risotto (pictured) and it was to die for! For starters we had calamari and tuna tartare which was so delicious. The service was impeccable with a very cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys fresh and high quality food.

We celebrated our anniversary here and the meal did not disappoint. The seafood fideua was certainly the highlight of the evening with the lobster tagliatelle coming a close second. The cocktails were fantastic (Pears Nicely and Mullite over). Ambiance was nice and the Covid inspired glass dividers between the tables were tasteful and you could not hear your neighbors which was awesome as the restaurant was full!
Service was prompt and professional.

This restaurant is a gem. Cocktail, starter, main, dessert and even a coffee, top to bottom were all well conceived and deftly executed, and the finest details were all done in-house and with great results. The fideuá was one of the best things I've eaten in a very long time, and the orange ice cream in their "chocolate" dessert was especially outstanding, and was just the star of a really good dish overall that wasn't too sweet (even the ice cream), and had good textural balance. It made my coffee taste better.

The room is cosy and gains ambience as the sun sets and the lighting takes over. Service was excellent, they read between the lines and went beyond expectations a couple of times through the meal unprompted. Very professional. I am visiting from out of province but will visit the restaurant again without question if I'm back in Lunenburg.

Phenomenal food with incredible staff. The atmosphere here is so inviting. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer meal to celebrate my honeymoon!

Beautiful atmosphere with a great vibe is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The service was excellent, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, and the main course was a decent amount. The desert was ok, but lacking Texture and could use more sweetness. I would recommend this place to family and friends.

Have been here 3 times. Each time has been a good experience. The food is generally very good as well as their drinks. Even there is espresso was decent which is fairly unexpected for a restaurant. Interior is nice the only thing that isn't great is its very loud as its a small space with all hard surfaces and the kitchen is open to the dining area.

Adorable restaurant. I loved the vibe which fit in perfect as a seaside eatery. We had the salted cod fritters which were delish. Both mains (risotto and pasta) were great but a little on the salty side for me. Would have been a perfect dinner but we found the service to be a bit unfriendly, a warm smile from the server would have been nice. One of our plates had a dirty underside but no apology or acknowledgment
