The Blarney Stone Restaurant

This is a review due to the couple in front of us asking if they reserve tables as it was there first time there, and the blonde waitress was rude and told them we don’t do that and if you want to wait it’s up to you …. “We will get to you when we can”
Made our group not want to eat there as we felt like it was an inconvenience for her being there to eat. This is so sad to see.

Was at an assembly of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Liverpool and a bunch of us stopped here on way home. I had never been. I have to say it was the best food ever. I had chicken fingers and fries and gravy. Wowed. And so inexpensive. The wait time was about an half hour and was well worth it. The other members were also totally satisfied. My server was Katie, for such a busy place the servers were friendly and accurate and pleasant. I must come back.

Had the clams and scallops combo. It was very tasty with plenty of clams however only 5 small scallops. Disappointing considering the price

If I could give a negative stars I would.
The food was gross. Frozen, cheap quality and tiny portions. The service was horrible. Im furious that we spent over $60 on this garbage meal.

Simple place simple food with a old fashion hint. Would come again, pleasant staff and people. Many older folk and locals here.

Great food at very reasonable prices. I consider this a roadside dinner so don't expect great decor, although there are some nice paintings on the wall that are for sale. Service was good but we were there when it was fairly busy so I think our waitress was a little overwhelmed. Seafood chowder, burgers, fried clams and scallops all a hit with everyones at our table.

Excellent roadside diner. Always a good meal for a very reasonable price. Hard to go wrong with this place.

Food was great but waitress with blond hair very rude and in welcoming, this is the second time she was like this with us, unprofessional!

They prepare many entree's well and fairly priced. Considered by me as a homestyle diner, they bring a wholesome meal at any entree they offer

Old style, outdated, so- so food. Went there because it was one if the only places with power during a wide range power outage. Sorry, not impressed.

A standard roadside deep fryer based diner. The veggie was surprisingly delicious however. Staff are very efficient but seem overworked.

Plain looking in the outside with good old-fashioned hospitality on the inside. Great food, good portions and fair prices. There's also a large parking lot that can accomodate trailers and campers.

The food great, the server was great, and the price was great. I would highly recommend The Blarney Stone.

Terrible! Seafood platter, no fresh fish or shellfish as advertised. Some poor quality frozen stuff. Mixed vegetables, canned and tasteless. Rice, looked good, bland and tasteless. Lobster, canned, dry and awful. Even the tartar sauce was horrible. The worst seafood platter in my life! So disappointing, especially with such rave reviews!

As always, a familiar, welcoming experience. Friendly staff treat you like an old neighbour, whether you saw them last week, last year, or for the first time. The menu selection has something for everyone, the food arrives surprisingly quickly for un "fast food", and everything is so well prepared that I have yet to leave a morsel behind. Thanks for your attention to detail, including adherence to all covid precautions for the good of all of us. I look forward to many more decades of home run hitting dining with you. Don't change a thing!

Good roadside diner food. Big portions. Many seniors take half the order home for later. I like their 1/2 n 1/2 clams and fish. Wife has clams or fish and Ceasar w/dressing on the side. Good amount of clams, 2 large pieces of fish in my 1/2 n 1/2. More chips than I can eat, and a little tub of slaw. It suits me.

The seafood platter was delicious, the seafood was lightly breaded just as I like it. Took 2 pieces of cheesecake home to share with the family it was really good too! Great service.

The food was so good. Home cooked food and fresh tasting. Burger was to die for and the fish was so lightly coated and cooked to perfection. Everything was a hit between all 6.5 of us. The desserts were just as fantastic as the dinner. All of us filled ourselves to the brim because the food was just that good. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Best seafood anywhere. Very popular with the locals so mealtime visits ca mean a wait for a table. Fish is fresh and the service is friendly. Prices a very reasonable.

I come from Mount iniacke. First time there. My wife said it was good. Now i wonder way it took her 11 years to take me there. And she from New Germany. I will be back hot good food. The service was excellent

Been to this restaurant several times now, and not once did I have a bad experience. On our way to my in laws cottage, we always pass by Blarney, and we always decide on the way back home to Halifax, after a weekend of camping, it's jow become a routine to stop in for Lunch/supper. My wife always get the Seafood platter while I normally get a clubhouse sandwich, with a 2 pc fish and chips to go for later ;) I'm not a huge fan on sea food, hence why I normally get a Clubhouse. I always say, if in doubt about a new restaurant, you can never go wrong with a Clubhouse, and if that restaurant can screw that up, then you know it's not a great restaurant. It's pretty hard to mess up this sandwich, but hey trust me, I've had some bad ones. Blarney uses real Turkey (as it should be) and not the processed turkey. Freshly cooked bacon, toast is crispy just enough to not cut the inside of your mouth open. Definitely not greedy with their portions, but be aware, to much at times is a bit of a waste if you're not that hungry. Best clubhouse / fishNchips I've ever had. Worth and a great Sunday drive for you and the family to get away.

I have driven past there for years, today was the day. I wasn't disappointed. Food was wonderful, sevice was fantastic. Katie was a dear.

Excellent food, great people! The place is moderate in size, but big in quality food and service. The menu is a great mix of seafood and the other items one expects in a smaller place catering to travellers and local traffic. I loved that you could choose between a small order and a large one, and my small was more like a large in most places I've eaten. The desserts are a special treat, and are sinfully delicious! All in all, a wonderful experience, and one I hope to enjoy again!

Lovely experience, always. Always stop herhe between Halifax and wedgeport. So homey. Home cooked meals served with a warm smile. Hearty, big plate o food for a great price!
