The Board Room Game Cafe

Fantastic place. I paid 8 dollars to sit down and play board games for 4 hours (food is extra, but inexpensive and very good). Their selection of games is excellent and even if you don't already have anything in mind their fantastic staff will help you find something and do rules explanation if necessary so you can focus on enjoying the game. Every single staff member clearly loves their job. Take your friends and play some games!

The games were fun, they had such a variety. But the fee to just sit, not even order food, just to sit was $10

Absolutely LOVED the board room! I'm a huge board game geek and this place did not disappoint at all whatsoever.with TONS of different games to choose from, yummy snacks, comfy atmosphere and super friendly & knowledgeable staff, i'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time.a perfect idea for a date night or just hanging out with family & friends. 10/10 in my books, and i'll definitely be coming back!

Met some old friends and had lots of laughs! Staff was extremely friendly and prompt with service.

A place to meet people over a good drink or a snack while you choose one of the games they have available. You have to pay a fee for the use of these when entering the place.

If you or kids love game boards.this is a must to visit.
Additional fun is that you eat/drink as you play.everything under one roof.

Love this spot. Would recommend to anyone. The price for everything is *pretty good.inflation struck again and they had to raise the cost of everything sloghtly. But they still get 5*

Very knowledgeable game masters are available to teach you their games, and the game selection is pretty good. The prices are fair and comparable to what you'd pay at other board game cafes across the country. I enjoyed trying a local beer here as well.

Wonderful place for big groups to play board games. Would love to see more vegetarian options when it comes to food and more mocktails.

Sooo fun! Awesome food, fun games, lots of help from staff, an overall great time! The food is all kind of snacky (pretzels, Mac n cheese, etc.) which means if you wanted you could eat before, then when you get there you could buy just the snacks while you game!

I was blown away by the price of the food. I don't know how they can stay open with low prices like this. And you can tell a lot of the sauces were made in house. Great selection of board games, and there are people who can help teach you as well.

Always love to go here, really sad the one in Bedford closed. We try out new games before we purchase them and just have fun. Have never had a bad experience.

Nice place, a lot of games, great staff. If you like London Fog, you'll love Halifax Fog. Amazing for an afternoon with your friends.

This has to be one of our favourite spots that we visited during our stay in Halifax!
We enjoyed the first time so much, we went back a second time the next day. There’s no time limit for the duration you decide to stay. The board game selection is huge too!

Atmosphere is excellent. The entire staff was warm, inviting and kind. Emily was our server and she was so great, along with Isaac who was the game master and made great board game recommendations based on what we were looking for!

As for food, we tried the pretzel, garlic fingers that come with donair sauce, pepperoni with mustard and the nachos. They were all delicious, except for the nachos, which were ok.

The potions were all really great too, mana being the reigning champion out of all of them.
Everything on the menu is affordably priced:)

We love the Board Room! Staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about the games and menu, food is tasty and not too expensive, and the selection of games is awesome. A great place to go for date night or with a group of pals.

This is a unique experience and one that you must go if you have kids or if you live boards games. They have two large shelves with several board games from different themes and difficulty. The time just flew away when we're here.

Huge selection of boardgames and the staff demonstrate how to play each game. Very helpful. They serve a variety of drinks and snacks, all of which look to be prepared well. Will repeat!

Such a gem! A must visit if you’re in Halifax. They have the largest selection I’ve ever seen in a board game place and they truly have such unique games. The people are incredibly kind and are always offering to help teach you and keep you engaged. I had such a great time!
