The chicken burger was bland tasteless mush on a bun for 12+ dollars not to mention the size wasn't even enough for my toddler. Service was good and place was clean but food was bad

The girl who got my order put the wrong order! That’s not it, also the order I received doesn't match the receipt, which was already wrong.

The setup is great, lots of seating inside and out. The food was very disappointing, I guess I expected homemade. We had burgers and fries, the burger buns were basic store bought, and the patties tasted like the frozen ones I make at home. The fries were yummy and crispy, but I believe they are also frozen.

I mean the lot is nice, the idea is right, just seems stuck. I asked if I could upgrade my meal fries to a poutine for an extra charge. No. But you can buy a poutine as well for 10.65 plus tax. Avg age of work staff was 17. No leadership or direction, kids stumbling around waiting for orders. Left with 2 crispy chicken combos and 22.00$ worth of poutines, get home unpack food, and we have 1 chicken sandwich in the bag. Lol…. 60$ with tax. When I asked for the other chicken sandwich it takes another 6 mins to get it, they say chicken burger… with no sorry, nothing. Brutal.

I think Nostalgia keeps this place going. I was recommended to get the chicken burger, so I ordered it. It was absolutely the simplest, most boring and overpriced food I've ever eaten. It's a shame because I'd love to go back, I just know from all the reviews that nothing has changed.

The worst food I’ve ever had. Fries were cold and had no salt. Chicken burger was dry and only came with way too much red onion? Whoever is running this place seems to be failing as there are many 1 star reviews and with no response. You’re better off going to McDonald’s.

One of the blandest dining experiences of my life. I wish I had read the reviews before going. I tried the namesake Chickenburger with some fries and a milkshake.
The burger was a tiny thing full of wet, shredded, lightly salt&peppered chicken… and nothing else.
The fries were fine until I decided to eat one without ketchup.
The milkshake was what my partner called “milkshake-flavoured”. The mocha taste was more like a watered down version of chocolate.
The atmosphere in there is so cool, I really wish I could stomach the food.

I love the whole time capsule element of this nostalgic restaurant. It makes me think of the dull years before the out of control vehicle of internet technology.

Pretty sure they are surviving off of the nostalgia of locals. The markup on this food is embarrassing. Plain cooked chicken on a small bun with frozen shoe string fries for $11. So disappointed that they don't put any effort into their meals, nothing seems to be made in house. This was our first time and I don't see any reason to go back.

So nice to visit a place unspoiled by the advent of progress. Still the best cheeseburger around for my money. Highly recommended.

Worst chicken I have ever had in my life. Hideous! KFC is great comparing to this (and I never thought I’d say it)

My first time eating here was actually this week and I got their burger week burger the Thirsty Elvis. Mine unfortunately didn't have sauce buy my partner's did, and he said it was delicious. Giving it a second try tonight. Would definitely come back for the patty outside of burger week.

Ordered the chicken sandwich, service was fast and friendly. Not sure what I really expected but the chicken in the sandwich was boiled (reminded me of my childhood days) which would've been okay but it had zero condiments. I think it would've been tastier with some mayo or a little mustard. I would go back again and maybe try something else for sure.

Went twice there and both times they were out of strawberry ice cream? I ordered a hamburger and got a cheeseburger with bacon? I ordered a large onion rings snd only got a few. I guess I am done with going there. The guy taking the order got it really mixed up! Not going back there. It cost more than Macdonalds for the same amount?

They are now asking for proof of vaccination if you are eating in.

I ordered a chicken burger, quality has gone down hill, will not be back except for some fries or rings, I should have known see previous review below.

A few weeks ago we ordered chicken burgers which were ok and shakes also ok but we had one of fish which had hardly any fish in it -we should have returned it but!

Went to try the burger here for burger week 2021, not only was the burger disgusting (bacon had no flavor, sauce tasted like sweaty feet) which was disappointing because it sounded delicious. The service started great, we were fine when we got told to wait at the counter for our shakes, then got scolded by a different employee that we should be at a table, so we retrieved our milkshakes and went to sit down to wait for our order number to be called, number was called and the same employee yelled at me to stay at the table when I went to get our food. This was our first time here, and it will be our last.

An institution. Love the idea of fresh chicken NOT fried or deep fried, but honesty it was kinda tasteless.

Go for the milkshake, leave running because of the "chicken burger". I don't like fish, others who seem to like this place enjoy the fish and chips. Maybe rename the restaurant as this is possibly the worst chicken burger I've ever eaten in my entire life. Dry meat, soggy bun, have to request toppings. The lumps of meat are not appetizing. I'm convinced those giving high ratings are just nostalgic of the place since it's been around forever. Don't listen to anyone who requests checking it out, unless you live in Bedford and are interested in seeing how awful it really is. But get the milkshake for sure. Not worth even a 5 minute drive.

Covid safety precautions are in place. The food is amazing and consistently delicious. The chicken burgers are filling and the fries are good too. We go out of our way whenever we visit Halifax to make sure we visit the Chicken burger restaurant in Bedford.

Food is uncomplicated, exactly as on the menu. It is however a treasure for its grounds, a great picnic area for families, get some ice cream next door (part of the same facility). A different experience than doing a drive-thru and eating in the car, a real outing. Kudos.

We can't believe how popular this place is.we stopped to try it out because of so many people.all it was was a few pieces of scrap cooked chicken meat shoved on a bun. No salt.no pepper.nothing else.

Great decor, horrible food and quite expensive. The chicken burger is the worst thing on the menu. I can see why people want to go because it looks like a great place and it's always packed for some reason.

Not bad, always enjoyed my two cheeseburgers, onion rings and milkshake. Hadn't been in years, I thought it was just okay.

Take out packaging is pathetic. Food is good but plain. No love added. Small portions. Never coming again

A strong 4. A Bedford institution that I tried for the first time ever tonight. Good quality chicken sandwich but seemed very hot as if it was microwaved. Seasoning seemed a bit too modest. Yam fries were crisp and perfect. Curry chipotle was seasoned well. Milkshake was thick and creamy and really hit the spot. Will visit again but will likely not order the chicken sandwich again.

Never again. I cannot see why anyone would eat these chicken burgers. Cold, wet chicken served on a soggy white bun.

Some of the best fish and chips I've had. Great burgers too. (I actually didn't have any chicken!) I'd skip the milkshake next time - it's not so great.

Cool vibe, rush feeling get in get out. Chicken was fairly moist equivalent to the full chicken I cook once a year without trying and minimal culinary skills. Portions are small my moms chicken leftover on bun the next day is identical except I get 2 from mom, sometimes even 3 if I'm still hungry.

Clam bites had no tar tar other wise seemed delicious, but let's be honest what is fresh fried sea food without tartar.

My burger was chicken on bread I'm not a 2 year old had to go back up for cranberries, mayo. Maybe off day and they didn't know that I didn't know burger comes plain.or I'm a off customer who needs more then chicken on bread.

All in all overrated from the "you must try chickenburger in bedford" I heard countless times since moving here...

Temporarily closed for construction but good food and fun atmosphere. Mostly outdoor seating, a bit pricey but good once in a while. Also the milkshakes are amazing!

Classic diner burger. Quick, tasty, and it hits the spot. And the servers who walk up to you to take your order is actually a great service. If it sticks around post-covid, I wouldn't be sad!

Took my son for ice cream at Chicken Little. It is a very cute spot, service was quick and friendly. I also ordered a club wrap and they brought it to my table outside. Definitely recommend if you are in Bedford.

Loved the food and loved the atmosphere. The server was really helpful when we were ordering since we had never been there before. We ended up getting the original Chickenburger, the Oktoberfest Burger, the Burning Love Burger and split an order of fries. Everything was delicious!

I have been going there for many years over 40 years. Always good. Chicken burgers are next to none.
Classic and should have heritage rights. I even git engaged there while eating out 10 years ago. Met my current husband to get to know each other more and ended up getting engaged there.love it there.can play oldies on the jute boxes.so much to offer.

Chicken burger is a classic, old style diner and walk up take out. World famous for its signature "Chickenburger" but with a wide range of other menu items as well, still maintaining its historic 50s feel and roots.

Always a good meal, you can't really go wrong with anything you choose off the menu.

It's one of my favorite places to eat! The food is always fresh so it never disappoints. A cheeseburger add bacon combo is my to go to choice!

Neat little place. It's fast food, but has a lot of history and character. The chicken burgers also use real chunks of chicken rather than a processed patty, which is really nice

Okay - so today I had a book signing at the Sunnyside Mall's Indigospirit. It's a lovely little bookstore and I always do fairly well and sell a few books but rarely a whole lot.

So why do I bother going there?

In one word the Chickenburger.

All right, so that was two words. Three if you count "chicken" and "burger" separately. Which I do. I count "chicken" separate from "burger" because it is a burger that I am usually aiming for. A cheeseburger, with fries and a coffee milkshake. That is my go-to meal and the folks at the Chickenburger, whether you are counting one or two or THREE words, never let me down.

Today I was tempted to try something different. I tried an Oktoberfest burger.

Wow.

So what's an Oktoberfest burger?

Let's start with a burger patty - made out of honest-to-moo beef. None of that "you-can't-believe-that-it's-plankton" foolishness for me. If I want a burger, I want it with meat. I am a working class carnivore.

Then put that patty on a pretzel bun and top it with crisp raw onions, pickles, mustard and helping of sauerkraut.

Holy oompapa, Batman.

I was pleased with the Oktoberfest burger. I am ALWAYS pleased with the fries and the milkshake.

What can I tell you?

I give The Chickenburger every star in my pocket and I can't wait until I go there again.

Used to be a need to go place in Halifax but this year the quality seems to be down the Chicken seemed drier not juicy the way it used to be, unfortunate!

The chicken burger was great. Nice atmosphere, but few options for eating and the price is getting high for a burger.

Normally this would be 5 stars. My hamburger was dry, this never happened before. I've been going to Chickenburger for 45+ years.

The only really good thing is the vibe with the restaurant, food seems over priced for the size they give you. Dont get me wrong foods great and the shakes are soild as can be but I always leave feeling hungry after two burgers and fries.

If the owners out more effort into some of the decorations of the place and budgeting the food so we could get more out of it it be a 5-star for sure

Myplace to go when home in Nova Scotia. Its been there for many years and hasn't changed. Love their chicken burgers and everything else. Great food. Great staff

The best chicken burgers around and it has the fifths look inside the diner. The service is good and fast hamburgers hotdogs fish& chips milk shakes it's a good variety of fast food eat in or take out in the summer you can dine at the picnic tables.

I don't like it when the cashier, after handling dozens of transactions of cash and cards, picks up your soft drink cup, usually by the rim, and hands it to you. She also passed me my unprotected plastic straws. The cranberry sauce on the chicken burger wasn't up to standard. There was no paper place mat on the tray so any fries that fell off the plate were forfeited as I'm sure the trays aren't sanitized. Other than that, good food.

The place is clean and that's why it gets three stars from me the staff though they are very Bland and just want you to get off the counter

Portions were small and expensive for what you get. Staff was in a hurry to get you gone from the pick up counter, even when we were the only ones there.

Nostalgia at its best, never changes, always excellent service and food. Every time I go to Nova Scotia I have to stop in.

The chicken burger is literally chunks of chicken and a bun. No sauces, no vegetables, nothing. So they are quite dry. Luckily I had onion rings and ketchup to add to the burger. Milkshakes are fairly decent and they do have good onion rings which did redeem the place a little.

Good service interesting place but the milkshake I got was melted as I got it and the burgers where ok nothing to write home about.

I'm not sure what all the hype is about this place, I've gone a couple times now and it seems like their find their chicken burger is a little dry. Make sure to get a cup of gravy or it'll be kinda bland. Once with gravy, not bad at all but now extra messy ️
