Don't be fooled by the professional looking website. You're renting what's essentially either a family bunky or what I assume is a room in the main motel. It has the very, very basics in the bunky we rented. Dilapidated, doors are caked in salt and barely function, AC units from the 90s, furniture just falling apart.rooms are unclean, dusty, gross. Didn't bother showering as we were only here for a night. Didn't want to even bother with the restaurant after seeing the prices vs the rooms. Oh yes and the "laundry". One coin washing machine, 1 dryer, and one laundry machine totally just disconnected and covered in cobwebs. Microwave? It's in the laundry room. But rest assured you'll need to grab one of the 90s microwaves and put it on the dryer to find a plug close enough to fire it up. Also check out the one bench out back with the only somewhat nice view. I think my wife and I were the first ones to sit on it this year. Location? You're driving 10-15 mins into town for anything substantial. Good views of the quarry though!

Woke up to find 4 decaf packs of coffee that weren't even compatible with the machine.

Let's just say the first thing I did was a solid bed bug mattress check before I put my luggage down. That kinda place. Didn't see bugs thankfully.

I'd rent this room for half of what we paid.

J'ai seulement mangé au restaurant, je peux cependant dire que c'était excellent, les portions sont grosses et le service est vraiment bon. Le service est aussi rapide. Ça vaut le détour!

Restaurant: we had dinner here one night when they had live music. The guy singing was great, and he really added to the atmosphere. The food was tasty. Chicken cordon bleu and the fish chips were our choices. Also, the blueberry crumble was very good.

Motel: The place was very dated, and it had an old smell. Lots of marks on the walls from screws that had been removed and water stains in the bathroom. Definitely needs an update.

On bus tour wouldn't even know to stop here on the water nice view.good food and a gift shop

What an amazing place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The entire place is beautifully clean. The rooms are nice and clean. The restaurant is fantastic. Differently will stay there again.

Cabin and beds need total maintenance. Food and beverage was excellent, we had pre ordered our lobster dinner and was perfectly prepared when we arrived. Servers were great both visit - Dinner and Breakfast. It’s a beautiful place, decent prices and great view. We would stay there again if they change their beds and improve cleanliness in cabins.

I had the pleasure of staying here recently. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Such a great restaurant with friendly staff. Honestly the best chowder I have ever had. This place is a hidden gem on your way to Cape Breton.

Great location to Cape Breton. Rooms clean and spacious. Their restaurant has a good menu. We had dinner and breakfast. Reasonably priced. Service quick friendly and offered great recommendations. Seafood casserole, Cove Breakfast Skillet and Home Style French Toast. Till next time.

We intended to stay here one night on our way to drive the Cabot trail and it turned into 3 nights. The staff are amazing. Very friendly front desk and restaurant as well. Seafood chowder is a meal in itself. We stayed in two different cabins. The cabins are a bit dated but very clean and the beds are comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks for a great stay!

Conveniently located not far from TransCanada highway. The place is quiet and picturesque. The rooms were quite old, but enough for the family to spend the night while on a road trip. Service was good.

Been here before loved the cottages. This time we had a king room overlooking the channel. Food is always special and yummy. Nice choice for craft beers also.

Staff super friendly and always there to help.

We had a quick stay. Everything was as we expected for the price, so nothing to complain about. But the room really could use an update. Also do consider EV charging. This area is a dead zone for accommodation with charging.
The dinner was great with wonderful live music and amazing views!

Went 2 days in a row for a family lunch. Both times excellent service and food was top notch.
Great restaurant and gift shop.

Inexpensive, short ride to or from ferry 1.5 hrs quality restaurant perfect for that short stay

The Cove is a Cape Breton hidden secret! The food is delicious and the views on the water are outstanding. The restaurant staff are the friendliest and most professional in all the Maritimes! Dolly is an absolute sweetheart! The scallops and rocket shrimp are amazing!
