Really good and fresh! Awesome service! Scallops were very good, but quite small. I was expecting bigger scallops for sure

It's ok. Went for the seafood platter. Seafood was fresh and fine. The "crispy" haddock wasn't. The scallops had an ok sear. Seat by the window was nice enough. The Costco folding table and heavy plastic cover didn't exactly feel inviting. I'll try somewhere else next time I'm in town.

The staff are very kind and attentive and the menu is the best of what Nova Scotia has to offer.scallops, clams, lobster, fish, chowder. They also have local craft beer served with frosted glasses. I will be back.

This place is so fabulous that we couldnt even get in the first night!

We ate here for lunch, and it was delicious. We got the scallop trio with home fries and pan-fried haddock and clam strips with home fries, and both were excellent.

Food was delicious. The scallops and lobster club sandwich were delicious. Highly recommend these 2 items. One of the top eats during my visit on the east coast. The views in the patio are fantastic, tho the seating is a night tight.

Delcious seafood, definitely try the fried pickles! So good. Loved the folk art =) the server was so sweet and really made our visit.

Amazing seafood chowder loaded with scallops and fresh bun! The cup is really big and would make a perfect meal for most people. I couldn’t finish my bowl it was so big. Loved this amazing restaurant

Had a beautiful meal. I had the Seafood Chowder, Seafood Platter and my wife had the Seafood combo. It's a great little hole in the wall spot with cool decor! I'll be sure to stop again for a bowl of chowder. I love how you can pick how you want your scallops and fish cooked. Great spot!

The lobster sandwich is worth the 5 stars alone. The atmosphere and the homemade soups are just the icing on top. So delicious, I would've taken a picture but it was too good not to eat right away!

This is our favorite restaurant in Digby. We try to get there 2 or 3 times each summer. The scallops are an absolute must. The best is yet to come with desert and that is the coconut cream pie. If you've never had coconut cream pie this is the place to try it out. Promise you will enjoy the whole meal.

The best chowder, there are lots of seafood inside and very tasty. Overall price is fair, great service, great view and the decoration in the entire restaurant is fantastic. Highly recommend to drop by after getting off from Bay Ferry.

Most of the clams were tough and others I could not eat because they tasted bad. Was a very expensive lunch for a very disappointing meal. Waitress was friendly enough, but never came back to check on us the entire meal.

The chowder looked amazing. It was piled high with so much seafood, but it turned out to be pretty disappointing. It was bland and lacked flavour. The broth tasted more like watery cream and the ratio of liquid to solids was way off (needed more of the liquid soup!) I bit down on something hard, which turned out to be a few pebbles in my chowder. The fish in the chowder also had two thin bones about 2.5cm long. I know fish have bones but you don't typically expect to have to pick them out of a chowder. I didn't realize and actually discovered them because one pierced through my tongue!

The seafood platter was okay. Loved the scallops, the shrimp and fish were decent. Didn't love the clams, which were overly battered and fried. Mostly just tasted the batter.

The view from the back patio was beautiful. The service was a bit slow due to the place being packed and the staff was lovely.

Came in just before closing and they were accomodating and took us in which was really nice on their part.
Fish and seafood were good quality.
Fries and veggies were so so.
Service was good.
Decor and setting was average.
Would say 3.5 rating overall.

Great place for food. Over 10 types for poutine! Chowder is a favorite but everything is good. You have a view of the harbour. Outdoor seating is open seasonally. Street parking is available and can be limited during busy times.

Friday August 19,2022 my wife and I had lunch at the Crows Nest Digby, Nova Scotia and each of us had a cup of their famous chowder. Excellent chowder filled to the brim with lobster, scallops, haddock, and more - no scrimping at all. Scrumptious totally tasty great value for the money. From our experience travelling one of the best chowders we have ever tasted. Recommend this Crows Nest without reservations.an eclectic but definitely nautical decor with all kinds of interesting and amusing decorations throughout just a fun place to be full of atmosphere and charm just being there - check it out!

What an amazing spot to spend a Saturday afternoon! The staff are kind and really take care of the guests. Definitely worth visiting, the portions are huge, the food is delicious and the view is unmatched.

Once entered you can’t help but notice the wall decoration, it is very pleasant and cheerful. We sat inside because it was end of July and quite hot. However, the back patio offered such a nice view!

We got mozza sticks, a bowl of seafood chowder, the seafood platter with grilled shrimps add-on, and pan-seared scallops.

The star of the meal was the scallops, they were nice and tender, and little sweet. They were just seared enough on the outside to give that little crispiness and colour but still nice and tender inside. The mozza sticks were standard and the seafood platter was nice too. The chowder was a little lacking, not in portion but in flavour and texture. The soup is very runny, like hot milk with melted butter, with lots of fillings but mostly fish.

Digby is the "Scallop Capital of the World", so you'd think a restaurant yards from the scallop-rich sea would know how to cook them. Nope. What I got was a pan-fried mess of rather small scallops thrown in a bowl. Maybe the haddock would save the day.nope. Just a battered and fried waste of a good fish. The smell of burned oil was on every dish. Learn how to cook, THEN open a restaurant. If you're visiting this is a place to pass over.

We stopped here for lunch (two of us) and ordered bowls of chowder and a seafood platter to split. We were absolutely stuffed! The chowder was full of seafood - more generous than other places we have been on our trip throughout the province. The platter was generous, as well. Our server was super friendly and accommodating, and the dining room felt cozy and relaxed. We would return if we happen to find ourselves in Digby again!

We have a seafood platter and a bowl of seafood chowder. The giant portion of both dishes show that the chef is lavish in providing food.

The seafood chowder is creamy and full of scallop, lobster and fish meat. The seafood is fresh. The soup is creamy and not too salty. The taste is fantastic. A photo shows that my wife share her bowl with me and that the portion provided the chef is giant and generous.

The seafood platter is also nicely cooked. The haddock with lemon pepper is fresh and soft. The scallops wrapped with bacon are meaty. The bacon is crispy. The deep fried clams are also fresh. The home cut potatoes also taste good and you need not have ketchup.

The owner is very attentive, polite and patient.

All in all, a delightful experience in having a meal in Digby.

My husband was satisfied with his lunch of bacon-wrapped scallops, but my choice (scallops with garlic butter) were tiny, overcooked, and lacking any garlic-butter taste. We were enjoying the deck with its harbour view and the sound of the gulls and waves, when the server turned on a radio loudly broadcasting country music. When I asked if she would please ţurn it down, she begrudgingly did so.slightly. That totally ruined the seaside atmosphere for me. Big disappointment when I was craving a Digby scallop lunch.

This place was fantastic! I don’t give 5 star reviews too often but they are well deserved here. The lobster roll and the Seafood Chowder was the best that we have had on our two week trip to Nova Scotia. The prices were reasonable, service was great and the view was beautiful. I really recommend The Crow’s Nest to anybody that loves seafood.

Best scallops we have ever had. We sat outside overlooking the bay with a gorgeous view. Counter/bar height seating outside so you could look over the railings. Make a reservation, otherwise you may not get in.

I was there last Sunday and had fish and chips that the batter was so over cooked it was a deep brown, home cut fries not very good, taste like fish. The other order was poutine with the works tasted all the same, garbage with a burger patty for hamburger meat. I gave two stars because I have ate there a couple of times and it was good. Another good place gone to the wayside.

I’m on a mission to try every top Lobster Roll in Nova Scotia! Today was my first time at Crow’s. I walked in and immediately felt like it was my own family’s restaurant.

It gave off this vibe that made you feel at home! Walking to the back patio overlooking the Digby Marina while eat a lobster roll was magically to say the least.

This place is awesome! Doug was extraordinary in suggesting the items and very friendly! Highly recommend a visit.

Excellent food and well priced! One of the best places that we have eaten at in NS so far. Doug made was friendly, made great recommendations and brought out Water for our dog. We sat on their patio and had a great view of the water. Highly recommend!

Been here a few times, never disappointed. The clams melt in your mouth. My husband tried the Cajun haddock this time, he loved it. Great service as always. We arrived 20 minutes to closing, usually I wouldn't do that, but they were relatively busy, so we went in.

As recommended by the locals. Their seafood chowder was the real deal. With generous amount of lobster, scallops, fish and potato. A bowl of it is a hearty and satisfying meal.

The Crow's nest has the best lobster roll / hot hamburger and their homemade fries with gravy are amazing!

Topped off our mini vacation with haddie bits for lunch! Top drawer! Couldn't eat it all; fish tacos for dinner. Very accommodating wait staff!

Tried this place as I was walking around the town and noticed that this was the only place which was packed and had a waitlist. And now I know why the restaurant was full…. It’s because the food was delicious and the portion sizes were huge for the price of the seafood. I came hungry and was glad that I did because everything that I ordered, from the seafood chowder to the lobster roll and the seafood platter everything was tasty.
The ambiance of the place was very homely and the we were greeted by really friendly hostesses who were making sure that everyone was enjoying the meal and leaving happy.
Would highly recommend trying this place!

Nice place with a good selection of food, not too expensive. Had a wonderful lobster poutine, which tasted great.definitely not stingy with the lobster. Husband had pan seared scallops, which were good too. All in all a nice place, nothing fancy, with good food

Very nice place, full of nautical decor. Good place to get Digby scallops. The waiter was very friendly especially with my kids and helped them order, and they have peanut butter and jam on the menu if they're picky! We all had a good time overall.

Seriously overrated. Scallops are pretty small, especially for the price. And they’re just ok. The fried fish had so much batter it was tough to cut through. And the service… we’ll, let’s just say, I wasn’t feeling the Maritime hospitality everyone talks about. I mean, who wants to be greeted with, in condescending tone, “can I help you? ” when entering a restaurant. Yea, that happened.

My husband and I happened upon The Crow’s Nest quite at random- boy, did we ever luck out! My husband had a Caesar salad with pan fried scallops on top and I had the chowder. We were both in love with our meals! My chowder was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. I could literally stand my spoon up in the bowl. Lovely friendly serving staff and great view from the patio out back!

Ordered fish and chips. I think I got three fish worth of food. My partner ordered the haddock bites. There was enough on the plate that it could have fed both of us. Everything on the menu (and that was being served) looked good. It was all pub fare but I will absolutely go back when I'm in the area!

We ordered the seafood chowder. This is one large bowl filled with haddock, scallops and lobster. Unless your a big eater one bowl could serve 2 people. Fantastic food, great service and beautiful water view

Never a bad meal here! Friendly staff great view and I always have a hard time picking something to eat because it's all great.

French fries were greasy and cold! Waitress never came back to ensure food was either warm or eatable.that is until the very end when she provided the bill.

Spectacular fall day on the deck overlooking the marina, enjoying Pan fried scallops, seafood chowder, hubby loved his seafood platter, and our Golden Retriever was welcomed too. And service from Julie was fabulous.

You'll want to make a reservation it's so busy. I had cheese streak sandwich and it was amazing. I had root bear float and it was amazing. Sweet potatoe fries were okay they add lemon to the curry mayo which I dont prefer but it was ok. De EMT prices lots of selection except steak.this sandwich was all they had
