Absolutely wonderful people running Inn. Perfect location for someone with family member in VG Hospital. Will definitely be staying many more nights in future.

Pretty, older hotel in Halifax. Very nice rooms and bathroom with a sky shower- I loved it. The staff were welcoming and friendly and recommended A couple of good restaurants nearby which gave a discount as we were staying locally. Free street parking and a nice generous breakfast.

The location on the edge of downtown Halifax is very good. Everything important is within walking distance. Although located on a major road, there is hardly any noise pollution. The service was very friendly. The continental breakfast is a bit meager. The equipment could be modernized, e.g. With USB sockets.

Le service est super sympathique, c'est assez bien situé pour visiter la ville. La propreté est l'envers de la médaille. Les tapis sont très sales, une odeur d'humidité est ambiante et plusieurs autres tâches sont apparentes.

Great B&B. Nothing was too much trouble for Razen who made us very welcome. Very convenient for downtown and the Via Rail Station (though it is up a steep hill from the station. Very highly recommend.

This is a budget location. A classic victorian house renowned to a small 8-10 rooms nicely equipped also great location to walk to downtown core also excellent parking. This inn is a bargen at 20-30 % below hotel prices in downtown

We had a circumstance where we did not know how long we may be staying. They were very accommodating. The location is excellent; close to hospital, Parkland Gardens, and downtown.
We ended up staying almost two weeks. The staff are friendly, and treated us like family. We highly recommend staying here.

I had to have surgery at 6 am so my husband and I booked this place mainly due to location. It was more than we expected and we were so pleased as it was close to the hospital, had free continental breakfast for husband who stayed there all week. Close walk to restaurants and for the month that we were there, parking was free. Great place.

Very cozy, quiet, and clean Inn. Nice rooms, comfy beds, and the breakfast is better than any cold continental I've had before. Prices are excellent, and couldn't ask for a better location for visiting VG hospital patients.

This Inn is very tired.needs an update. The carpet is old and worn. One day our room was not made up. Soiled linens and towels from other rooms were still in the hallway well into the evening. Furniture was dated. Chairs in our room were office type chairs. The light fixture in the bathroom had only compact fluorescents which had replaced the fat alberts. The continental breakfast was barely adequate. Orange juice was in tetrapacks.not in the assigned juice dispenser. The only upside that I can comment on is the location.it is very good.

Wonderful food, exceptional service, and beautiful atmosphere. The aesthetic of the Garden is like nothing else in the city!

Hôtel has some old charm but needs some refreshment. Pray not to have a room on the first floor: terribly noisy with heavy doors banging as early as 7: 30am. You can hear the phones ring, owner talking and coughing. My room bad a view on the parking lot + could hear street trafic. Ask for 2nd floor! Not the best experience for me as I need to nap in daytime.

Accueil plutôt décevant. Seule et me deplacant avec 2 bequilles j'ai gentiment demande si on pouvait aller chercher mon bagage dans la voiture garée dans le stationnement en arrière.et bien non, on m'a répondu que c'était ma responsabilité! Je n'aurais jamais pensé avoir un tel (manque d') accueil! Pour le reste, un peu cher je pense (isolation phonique limitée) quoique les hotels ne sont pas bon marché a Halifax.

A quiet and quaint Inn that is very helpful for people out of town requiring surgery at the VG. The discount offered for those in need of health care services at the VG was a welcomed bonus, recommend this Inn to everyone!

Price was okay, room was very basic. Stuff left behind from prior guest so room.not thoroughly checked over. Breakfast provided was bland

Un hôtel décevant: plutôt onéreux, des chambres à la déco douteuse, un accueil froid, une propreté du linge discutable, et en plus un manque de stock pour le déjeuner: on nous a répondu qu'il n'était pas possible de remettre des choses sur le buffet car le nombre d'items était compté selon le nombre de personnes dans l'hôtel, et que les gens se levant tôt partaient avec des sandwiches, composés de ce que les client suivants auraient du manger.dans ce cas, soit vous baissez le prix de vos chambres de 20$ et ne faites pas de petit déjeuner, soit vous surveillez votre buffet pour que les papis-mamies ne le dévalisent pas dès 7h00, soit vous prévoyez du stock. Votre réponse, vos explications, et votre refus d'écouter vos clients est aussi désagréable que votre accueil en général. Les chambres sont aussi assez bruyantes, et le parking payant. Bref, un mauvais hôtel pour retraités.

I was visiting Halifax in order for my mother to return to Pier 21 to complete a circle in her life. She had come through Pier 21 in 1940 as a child evacuee from England. We booked The GSPI and were thoroughly impressed with Marie and her staff's professionalism and kindness. They added a cot for us and maintained the cleanliness and tidiness of room daily to a standard that would befit any major hotel downtown. Although breakfast is advertised as a continental, it can be as filling as you want and lasted us well through our hikes around town. There is also an evening coffee-time available. They know the city inside and out and offered suggestions as to what to see and where to go to get the real flavour of it. Our flight left at an ungodly hour in the morning of our last day but they made arrangements for us to have a taxi waiting at the door at 0400. I will definitely return to this delightful historic inn where a friendly welcome will greet me.

Horrible service! We went to check in July 27, and proceeded to our room with luggage. When entering room notice there was next to no toilet paper on roll - there were hairs on the toilet seat - ran our finger over side table (FULL OF DUST) obviously became more cautions.looked around and walls were covered in dust as well as fan and door frames. Took matters to front desk and she came in and noticed dust and said she would leave to another place. Asked if we could get a cleaner in and possibly get bedding changed (god knows when that was last changed) And couldn’t do anything for us! We then had to look for another place to stay (giving the manager / owner several times to make it right and nothing.not the service you expect when paying $170 / per night.

Lovely old hotel. Room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was provided, and location was an easy walk to anywhere we wanted to visit.

Great location. Quaint little hotel. Limited rooms and the breakfast is nothing special but is decent.

Wonderful staff and very accomidating throughout our stay. Comfortable rooms very clean. Will stay here again.
