My go to spot lately for tools and stuff, they always seem to have what I need in stocks, if not on the shelf, the customer service representative will go get it in the stock room, never had an issue at Home Depot great place to get tools

I had the most frustrating experience trying to order Delta Classic 500 tub surround which delayed my job 14 days and never did show up. On the day it was suppose to arrive i went to the store when it did not arrive. This is where I met a pure rockstar… Jimmy. I was so impressed with how much effort Jimmy gave to solving this for me. Folks Im talking hours on the phone in store sorting through a literal cluster $@“&? ! I dont know who needs to read this from Home Depot but because of Jimmy going above and beyond you got a limited mobility client the ability to shower for the first time in days. Jimmy deserves a raise, a promotion a week off paid vacation, keys to the city. I am on the verge of hiring another employee and you had better be certain im coming lock stock and barrel for Jimmy to come join my team! Game on Depot lets go!

Went there to get a pedestal fan, got it for close to $28. The place is huge, and the store associates are helpful.

We walked in with our 2 year old, I needed a brown 2x8 also cut.
I asked the guy for a more brown piece but he said all they had was on the rack and pointed in a general direction.
Then I said I needed it cut, he cut it but didn't carry or put the wood in the saw.

Different visit another person was more helpful but I had to approach them.
They didn't have the sale item but they tried for a few minutes.

Personally I find the staff all experienced tradesmen and handymen which makes help good to find. Always had a good experience there.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I just went through the check out at the Dartmouth Crossing Store and a young very tall person with glasses waited on me. This was possibly the rudest service I’ve ever received, he/she did not speak one word during check out. I planned to ask a question but was so put off I didn’t. At the end of the transaction he/she gestured to the receipt and said “there’s your paper”
Of note I came to Home Depot because I typically find the customer service excellent. It is Wednesday April 20th at 1: 00pm I hope someone speaks to that employee

Store layout and Covid protocols are top notch. Staff are friendly and willing to help out. Bathrooms could be placed closer to the front entrance though. Had to walk a mile to take a pee lol

Went in to look at kitchen cabinets and was told I couldn’t get a price or buy them for a week as someone was on vacation and no one else could help me. This is the second time I’ve gone in and tried to get a quote on kitchen cabinets. The first time an older gentleman told me he was “in the middle of something” and couldn’t help me. Very confused on how one person being on vacation could shut down a whole department at a company this size.

Excellent price. Delivered to my door. Built in handles for easy moving. Seemed a little tricky to install. Plumber said installation not very helpful. 60 in size. Very comfortable for chunky man. Quick to fill, a little slow to drain. Taps and shower cheaper quality. Good finish and seal.

Waiting for someone about shed packages, staff didn't know where to send us, staff was not answering person helping us, sent to other side of the store, waited 20 minutes for help, employee came by and asked every person except us if they needed help and walked away. Will not recommend poor customer service and will go to Kent instead.

Normally great customer service, but today as I perused the window coverings, 2 other customers who arrived after I did were served by two employees while I waited. I ended up interrupting one of them to get some questions answered. Not a great experience today for sure.

The Home Depot at Dartmouth Crossing is our go to diy store. Excellent inventory (normally) although the COVID pandemic caused some supply problems for it as well. Like all HE stores product quality is high; service is excellent and prices competative. Parking lot is expansive.

Purchased electrical supplies and wire. The wire wouldn't ring in. After waiting ten minutes and getting ahold of the manager I was told the wire was no longer for sale and I couldn't purchase it with no explanation. Usually HD is decent and have fair price points but this experience was garbage. Now I'm left not being able to wire my kitchen and have to go elsewhere. 0 Stars if I could.

Store clean tidy Well stocked shelves
Had good number staff working on floor
easy to find someone for help if needed.
They had people to put larger and heavier items in for your vehicle, if needed.all round had good experience.
Would recommend to someone else
Good Parking.

Should avoid for purchase of large kitchen appliances. They don't carry stock and the items I bought and paid for in August with a specific delivery date for late Oct because they were in a warehouse in Montreal are now delayed until late Nov. No guarantee they will be delivered then. 2 of the 4 items are on back order. They won't deliver partials. Staff are great but are handcuffed by their systems. Not everything is covid related. If they were in stock in August our names should be on them. They have had my 6k since August

I find it rather hard to find assistance at this store, especially compared to the Halifax location. Today was a perfect example. This afternoon I purchased a 6' x 16' pre made floating dock located in the Home Depot parking lot. The individual at the cash was friendly and excellent to deal with. But when they paged for anyone to assist me to load this dock, no one responded. After many attemps, and waiting around for 30 mins, I was to angry and disgusted to wait around, and managed to drag the dock onto my trailer alone.

Just stopped in here for some supplies and had a very positive experience. Two different employees saw me looking around and asked if I needed help. Very refreshing. When I go to the Bayer's Lake location, the employees avoid me and when I ask for help I get told I'm "in the wrong section. " I'll be going to the Dartmouth location from now on if I can help it.

We needed to rent a carpet cleaner and Mark in Tool Rental was EXCEPTIONALLY helpful. He answered our questions about the rental policies and gave us several tips on how to use the machine.

Just wanted to put a shout out to Home Depot, Dartmouth Crossing for their wonderful customer service I received on the weekend. I had a huge item that had to be returned, and I never thought in a million years that they would take it back. But after calling and speaking with the manager of that department, I was told that as long as it was within the 90 days or buying it, and even if I still didn't have the boxes, etc, I could still return it.

So I took it to the store and went to customer service, and got a refund within 10 minutes, no questions asked.

To say I was totally impressed (and grateful) is an understatement.

Will definitely continue to do business there:)

Contractors desk has the most friendly and efficient staff in HRM. They are some of the most knowledgeable staff in the store and give their absolute best to their customers. These people are the reason I keep coming back.

Couldn't find flashlights. Asked 2 different people and they gave us directions to 2 different aisles! No flashlights either aisle! Different parts of store! No good!

The whole point of have a brick and mortar store is so you can either buy something without waiting, or at least see feel and touch what you are going to buy. I am trying to buy a new stove and they don't have any of the models in stock and none of the ones I am interested in are in the store.so why did I waste my time driving there? This is why stores are getting killed by Amazon.

Lots of helpful staff happy to find what you are looking for. Tool rental is great but they don't take reservations.if you really need something on a certain day.get it a day early. Helpful folks there too.

I was at the Dartmouth location looking at Storm doors. Kristen who works in the department was very helpful. This is the second time I have dealt with her. She helped me back in the summer when I was looking for a piece for a bi-fold door. She knows her stuff. Home Depot should be proud to have her for an employee. If Home Depot has an employee of the month program, please consider her!

Was looking at the Home Depot flyer online and saw an item, that I've been wanting to buy but have been waiting for it to go on sale, finally on sale! I was excited to wake up the morning on the flyer start date to jump online and order it since I couldn't get into the store because of my work hours.

To my surprise when I went online to buy my item it kept appearing at the full price when I added into my shopping cart. I spoke with online customer service representatives who said that the Home Depot online website is separate from the stores and has their own pricing. The online site does not honor the stores pricing.

However, Home Depot has a price match guarantee. I was told that they will match any competitors price but they refused to match their own flyer price. This is terrible customer service. I used to work for a competitor of Home Depot and we had pride in doing anything we could to make sure the customer was happy. Home Depot now has one less customer.

Purchased a washer, just had it delivered and I must say the guys who did the delivery and installation were excellent. They removed an old heavy washer up a flight of stairs and were extremely careful and respectful. Well done!

MARLEYS HOPE!

We are going back to our roots.

We tried as hard as we could, but with Covid seriously restricting our fundraising efforts we sadly have to close the Shelter Portion of our operations down and return to strictly foster based care.

Our rent and utilities surpass what we can pay monthly so we are left with no choice.

Please note we will still be rescuing, just not having the actual physical shelter in Lake Echo.

So now our issue is storage.

If anyone has a shed they no longer need, or maybe want to donate funds to build one please please let us know. We cleared out most of the items that could be gone at our yard sale, but these items are essential for us to keep and very hard to replace.

Please message us if you can help.

We are terribly sad to have to leave but we know the work this shelter has done has been life saving for the hundreds of dogs who came though this door. It was a safe haven for so many.

But we are grateful and thankful for the many foster families we have who will open their homes to our dogs.

We want to thank all of our community members for welcoming us and for their never ending support. We have been here since 2015 and are very appreciative of our landlord allowing us to stay a bit longer when we were in a pinch. Thank you Marc so much!

In store itself is great but don't get anything delivered. Pre ordered materials 3 weeks prior for a project. Delivery was supposed to be free but they charged us and gave my wife a hard time regarding a refund. The store changed the delivery date without notice. I called to check on the delivery a week prior, found out they changed it and had them change it to the proper day but on the day it was to be delivered they claimed it was not on for that day. Kept me waiting on site all day, three different managers and multiple emails only to tell me at the end of the day it would not arrive. Was supposed to be delivered early the next day but staff loaded concrete slabs on to of the composite and damaged the planking and it had to be reloaded. Ended up arriving mid day and my special order items were missing or damaged and would be another 3 weeks so had to make due. HD blamed it on the delivery company they sub to which was not entirely the case, regardless they are responsible for their sub. They did give me a $200 credit on 2.5K of materials which is better than nothing but didn't cover my extra cost with the contractor and the finished product is not what was planned. Don't bother contacting their corporate customer service, took them over 2 months to get back to me and the store manager gave them a version that was 70% inaccurate, I guess if you take 2 months to reply to a customer your memory is not that fresh.

Good hardware store. The only issue I have is that I am visually impaired and have a guide dog. But this store let's everyone bring in their dogs and alot of folks that I came across have aggressive dogs and makes it extremely difficult for me to get around with my guide dog. I have had a few dogs get aggressive with my dog which makes it very difficult for me. Because of this I wont be going back to Home Depot. It is nice for people to bring their pets but have control.of them. Makes it super difficult for a person like myself who needs my dog to get me around with out distractions of aggresive dogs. I am sure most dog owners who being their dogs there will disagree but if you were in my shoes you would understand. It is to bad that I can no longer go to this store because of this issue.

Today, we where in to look at dishwashers. Jim helped us out and was the only sales associate (we shopped a few other places) that recognized our older system hook up. He was very knowledgeable and listened to our needs and concerns.
Later on we realized we bought our fridge from him as well last year. Love the Maytag fridge. I am hoping we love our new maytag dishwasher as well. Thank you Jim!

I called to place a delivery order. No answer. Got put on hold. Then they hung up. If I could of given it a Zero star I would have. They have zero customer service. Why have a number to call if they don't answer? Terrible company.

The staff are knowledgeable and helpful; but if you are buying an appliance DO NOT BUY MAYTAG.
We purchased a new Maytag washer which came from the factory with bolts missing from the attachment of the motor to the frame. As a result the machine basically shook itself to pieces. Despite repeated calls to Maytag they would not take ownership of this problem. They insisted on repeated attempts to fix the initial problem and the additional issues that arose in relation to the assembly mistake rather than admit to the unit being a lemon and allowing us to return the machine.
Thankfully Home Depot stepped up, refunded our money and sold us a GE washer. According to Home Depot they have to "take the loss" on the Maytag as Maytag's warranty doesn't provide for a return of a "lemon". So buyers beware there is no assurance of quality in the Maytag name and Maytag does not stand behind its products, despite their stated "Promise of Dependability". You can trust Home Depot but you cannot trust in Maytag.

Tried to purchase blinds for almost a week. Told the saw had an electrical issue. Still waiting. I wish there were more options in HRM but we must deal with poor service and a I don't care attitude. Now the other Home Depot in HRM has a broken saw too. I understand things break, but either run a professional business or don't.

Went in today to pay off my Pro Account. After realizing the hoops and confusing default scenarios built by them and their so called no interest deferment plan. A simple misread of their rules cost me $700 interest that would NEVER have happened with my bank credit card! BEWARE. Not to mention that they collude now with Revenue Canada and give them all your spending information!

Bathroom is fancy. Nicer than some restaurants I've been too.

Nice store but severely understaffed. Had one guy working in the entire hardware department. I don't know if they realize they are loosing business from making people wait.
