The Library Pub and Merchant Wine Tavern

I go to a pub for a quiet drink and to soak up the atmosphere. This place has it in spades. Friendly staff and a particularly witty barmaid. She told me that stealing a cider glass in Wolfville, is punished by life in prison. I hope to put that to the test again. Sitting with my wife in the front window loveseat, watching the pedestrians stroll by on Main Street, while sipping cider and picking away at a couple of appetizers. Hard to imagine a more enjoyable early evening. The warm, friendly, and welcoming staff truly make the place. The things you find out in a little pub. Turns out that witty barmaid is also a particularly lovely seamstress. I suspect famous librarians like Casanova would find this just the place to practice their craft.

Cozy environment, food was really good. Our server brianne was very friendly and outgoing, service was great.

There are books here, but probably the booze and eats are more popular. Bring a book and settle in for as long as they will let you stay. You will be instantly cooler and more interesting just by being physically present. Order the oysters. And the fish tacos. Just go.

Nice spot to grab lunch, the live music was nice while sitting upstairs.

I have been here a bunch of times and the service is always great and the food is good. It definitely has a kitchen party vibe.

Had the chicken quesadilla and wings as an appetizer. Both were excellent. Would recommend.

Cozy with good service, food and drink. Lower level has unique comfortable bench chairs with nice street view, upstairs has a nice dinning area.

Cozy environment, great drinks, service was good, food was tasty. They were out of sour cream when we went but otherwise good experience. We ate the nachos and quesadilla.

Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Will definitely be a stop on my visit to Wolfville next August.
