The Loose Cannon

I went here on Tuesday night for their open mic night and it was a great time. There were so many great, local artists and touching stories. The atmosphere was so welcoming and upbeat. I would highly recommend stopping by for an open mic night if you get the chance.

I used to like this place, and it's still a decent spot for a drink, but not so much for food. The old menu was pretty good, never had a particular bad meal. The newest menu is laughably boring. I went for the safe bet and got fish & chips. Came with 2 ridiculously small pieces and one of them was half batter. I'm not joking the total amount of fish I got was equivalent to a couple of McDonald's fillet-o-fish patties.

In this climate, I can't be giving my money to a place like that.

Stopped in for a pint and stayed for the large whiskey list. Didn't have any food but enjoyed the quality open mic night.

Friendly service and great food. I liked the menu options compared to other pubs in the area.

Every time I have been here the service has been awful. Often servers take an hour+ to return to the table even when there are empty drinks. I once waited 45 minutes to get my tables bills.
I understand when it happens once but this has happened every single time i have been there.
Bartenders seem great though.

Never got a chance to eat here. Enjoyed lots of drinks. Service was fantastic. Loved the live music

I come on Tuesdays for the open mic run by Tyler Cox. The vibe and acceptance in this place is totally awesome. Tuesdays have been full of amazing musicians and the beer and the staff are incredible.

I had a great experience gigging here as well.

We went on a Tuesday for an open mic night and had such an awesome time! Beer was cold and clean, and I’m sure the food is fantastic unfortunately, the kitchen closed pretty early @ 10pm so make sure you get your order in before then!

More importantly the host for the open mic, Tyler Cox is AWESOME! Not only is he very talented and great to listen to, he provides an atmosphere where anyone can feel comfortable getting up and playing some music for the room! I’d absolutely recommend heading here on a Tuesday Night after 9pm for an Open Mic!

The food was great and the service was great! Beer was ice cold, couldn’t ask for anything more. I would recommend.

Delicious Caesars and other cocktails. Great terrace and atmosphere. Will definitely be back and recommend.

We came on Canada Day this year.
Food was good, they were the only place not packed, with long wait times. They do Not have a kids menu and they're quick to tell you that as you walk in with a kid.

The options for non alcoholic beverages are orange juice, water and coke.

Amazing food and super amazing ambiance.
Server was very friendly and helped us with choosing some delicious appetizers.
Will highly recommend this place.

Had some nachos and wings, very good, not busy, so had great service. Nice rustic atmosphere.

I've been coming here for a number of years I think I may have already made a review.if I was going to highlight I was here a few nights ago and I had excellent customer service.
It asked me to write the food here I haven't really tried to give it an honest opinion but I gave it a four-star anyway.

Early Friday evening, already out of several beers? Pretty sure my double Caesar did not have any vodka in it.
Automatic 18% tip for poor service

You know the staff don't get paid enough when you cant create a custom tip amount to round off your bill. Such a horrible practice. Last time I go there. No managers around to discuss this with.

Probably explains why a reso showed up for 15 to 20 ppl for an accounting party that the staff had no clue about.

Embarrassing management.

For a city with close to 600 restaurant's this is not worth a visit.

Very disappointed when we’re were charged regular prices on Whiskey Wednesday. We were told that the special pricing did not start until 10: 00pm yet neither the menu nor website mentioned this. Staff were not supportive at all. Will not recommend and will not return.

Staff very friendly. Went as a group of 15. Food was ok. Spinach dip was excellent but most of us were not pleased with our meals.
