The Noodle Guy

I have been coming here for years and never tire of the absolutely incredible food, wonderful service, and comfortable atmosphere. Either out with friends, or a date, or just hungry by yourself there is no better place to eat than Noodle Guy.

My absolute favourite dish is the ravioli with the caramelized onions, it is absolutely to die for. My only complaint is that there isn't more ravioli in a serving but honestly bottomless ravioli wouldn't be enough for me.

The dessert that you HAVE to try is their carrot cake. It's fluffy, creamy, and so full of flavour.

If I could give this place 6/5 stars I would.

This is a great spot for a meal. It seems much trendier than I expected and seems very popular. Fresh noodles and ingredients made for a delicious meal. There are several great craft beers and ciders on tap. I will definitely be back.

Stopped in on a recent visit to NS. Place has a cool, trendy, but laid back vibe and impressive menu that covers all the bases. Service was slow and not very attentive but the food made up for that. I had the ravioli and wow it was great.

Food and service was amazing. Fully enjoyed and recommended. Fresh pasta always and cooked when ordered so so fresh.

A favorite restaurant in the valley. The pasta is absolutely delicious and we look forward to it every time we make the trip from Halifax.

This place is a treasure! The atmosphere is cozy and bustling (we ended up sitting at the bar which provided a great view of the magic happening), and the food is fantastic. All of the pasta is homemade, so we took advantage and ordered the shells with sausage & cream sauce and ravioli sauteed with maple caramelized onions. Both dishes were flavorful, rich, and done to perfection (we'd have to pay 2-3x the price to get something comparable in SF). We finished with a pumpkin cheesecake drizzled with caramel sauce, which the memory of is making my mouth water.

In the words of my dining companion, "If it wasn't a cross country flight away, I would eat here every day. "

Remember always pay cash to small business.
It gives more in their pocket & none to mega credit card companies.

Had lunch at noodle guy on a busy friday. Managed to have a seat at the bar but for larger groups there was a bit of wait. Had the pot stickers and tomatoes pasta which shrimp. Food was good (potstikers could use more seasoning) but service was tricky cos of how busy there were. Though I was sitting right in front of the cash. I was forgotten.

Drove an hour or so to get here, the service was fast and the waitresses were super sweet, understanding and hardworking.the food was wonderful, would totally recommend the shells! If you want meaty, cheesy goodness. 10/10 would come here again:)

Recommended to us by locals and did not disappoint! Great food and price point. Told the other people staying at our b&b to check it out

Service was fantastic in spite of being super busy. The man running front of house was performing exceptionally well. The food was good. The portions were on the smaller side but for the price it's nothing to complain about. I was even offered a free drink at the end I'll definitely be coming back!

Easily the best pasta lunch ever! We had the Tagliatelle, Ravioli, wrap, stir-fry and soup of the day. Excellent location, food and service.

This place is lovely, the food is tasty. Highly recommend to try the stir fry and rice noodle, it is really nice. Friendly service and good dessert too.

This is one of the best noodle places I've ever been to! We went to Halifax for a friend's trip from Ottawa and we were so impressed! Everything was great!

I mean, dang, what a great restaurant in a small town. The food is top notch, but the atmosphere is unpretentious and the prices fair. Perfect stop after a hike or for an anniversary dinner. For any occasion really. True gem of a place.

This is a must try if you are visiting or staying in the area. We stayed 4 nights in Kentville and visited twice. The staff are amazing. High spirited and friendly. Super accommodating. They have a tiny place so try to go in off peak hours if you can or simply choose to take away if the place is full. I don't like to buy pasta dishes in restaurants knowing the cost of them vs the typical high sell price however I would gladly pay for these dishes over and over again. They are extremely reasonable in my opinion. They're also happy to sell you their pastas and sauces and tell you their recipes if you'd like to try making it on your own. This place is a no-brainer in my books.

Curry coconut sauce and broad noodles to go. Added scallops and a fresh salad when I got home. Delicious! Always busy, which means great food! Lovely friendly staff.

One of my favorite places to eat in the 15 years we have lived here. Also wonderful handmade pasta to take away with many sauces. We also love burger night and all the special events. Wonderful staff, great atmosphere…. A real gem in the valley.

WOW! This is a must go place. Even if you live in Cape Breton, it's worth the drive. No reservations, so come and see what the wait it like. Ours was 20mins so we walked to the brewery and had a beer while we waiting.
You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu! Vegetarian choices abound. Started with the carrot and ginger soup; hot, sweet, perfect start.
We shared the Tagliatelle and vegan fusilli. Added local feta to the Tagliatelle and it was amazing. Savory, flavorful, filling, and great price!
Throw some amazing local wines and ciders and I couldn't recommend the noodle guy enough! Just go, and you'll go back.

Great spot, if you are in the area it's worth the stop. Excellent food and friendly, fast service. Second time in, had the stir fry with chicken and rice noodles, would recommend.

So many great things to say about The Noodle Guy! $10 Tuesday is a steal, Thursday night burgers are absolute winners! Super friendly staff, with a casual and relaxed atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food. Perfect!

Had lunch on the way to Cape Split. I liked fusion style noodles and ravioli. It would be the best to me if they were not so oily.
Recently i had dinner with my family, everything was good.but want to ask why the ventilation is so bad?
the smokey air filled in the hall almost chocked my throat and i coughed a lot before the food was served.

The atmosphere was warm and cozy and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The pasta was amazing. Worth the trip from Halifax. Can't wait to go back.

It was good but I actually I had higher hopes from what I had heard. It wasn't anything special that I couldn't make at home. I thought it was a bit expensive for what we had gotten as well. Two dishes for $40, take out, nothing else. Even though it was small it was very filling.

The beautiful food and magic aromas in this place are only matched by the wonderful people that work here. Every single person that I've had the fortune of dealing with here has been top notch friendly. 5 stars without a thought.

I had the best New Years eve celebration of my life. The food, the people the atmosphere, one could not find a fault. I hope to be there next year.

Tried here for lunch on a sunny Friday in January and glad I did. There are a couple of parking spaces out front, which we got right outside the door, so didn't take notice of there was a lot in the back or anything. When you enter, there are a couple of wooden tables in the middle of the space, with seating for 6 each? To your left, there are smaller tables/bench space for 2 or 4, a few window seats, and one small, more private booth in the back. Casual rustic atmosphere with lots of natural lighting coming in. Large chalkboard menu, with laminated printed menus at the tables as well. Very friendly staff, especially from our purple-haired female server! Re the food: I wanted to try two of the small dishes, to experience two vs one menu item, but ended up picking the daily Ravioli special ($11) which was very good. Five homemade raviolis stuffed with quark cheese, topped with maple caramelized onion, which gave the dish a sweetness to offset the richness that ravioli normally brings. I was full before I finished it, and hadn't eaten all of the bread that came with it. (An orange colored, fresh, thick, almost focaccia.not sure if it was squash based or what, but tons of flavor in the seasoning). My friend ordered their spaghetti (with roasted red pepper, tomato and meat sauce. $11) but requested it with tagliatelle noodles instead, which was no problem. He was definitely satisfied with the flavor and portion size. Most of all, if you compare here to a "finer" Italian restaurant in Halifax, the food is just as good, but the price is less. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu, including their Asian dishes, etc. FYI: small, but decent selection of alcohol. My glass of Avondale Sky Tidal Bay hit the spot. His stout (that I forget the name) was good too.

You walk in and immediately feel like you walked into a family party, the flow and feel is just so warm and welcoming. Not only are by staff so nice but the customers too, great food leads to great customers?
This is our first time here so we ordered three dishes! Yes, three, small ofcourse.
1. Fettuccine with feta 2. The shells with sausage and 3. Soba noodles with egg.
The fettuccine was clean, sweet and salt was balanced. The shells has a lovely sauce, spicy and zesty. The soba was not what I was expecting, a little heavy on the ginger but it certainly was flavourful.

We ordered it to go, they packed the food in sustainable packaging and wooden forks! Service was so quick and amazing.

How could I forget, I also ordered a chocolate buckwheat cookie. It was amazing! It tasted like a healthy brownie, a gorgeous circular brownie cookie!

It was definitely worth the 57 min drive from Halifax. I would do it again too!

Absolutely loved it, my girlfriend and I had never been there and we were generously given a coupon to dine for Valentine's Day, so naturally we eat at The Noodle Guy, WELLL LET ME TELL YOU, atmosphere was phenomenal. Staff? 10 out of 5 stars, Ross, what a generous man he was, and so hands on. Literally met every single person that came in the restaurant, he has the energy to sit strangers together and everyone had a good time. So we observed and laughed and smiled, enjoyed some of the best food by far in the valley, if you have the opportunity to eat there. Please do so. If anyone from your restaurant reads this, that k you for a wonderful evening, we will be back.

The Noodle Guy is a MUST anytime we are in the Valley. Every dish we've had there has been excellent, customer service is always wonderful and sometimes if we're lucky we make it there when there is live music.

Fantastic place. Had the ravioli of the day (Spinach with roasted pepper ricotta filling) and the carrot cake and they were both very good. The cake's cream cheese was a bit sweet but I like sweet.
Excellent price for the quality of the food. (19 ish for both items)

Service was quick, very cheery and just overall very good. There is live music on Saturday's, the atmosphere was great.

Had a great time. Will definitely be back to try new items.

The Saturday afternoon guitar jam is fun. Super relieved they have vegetarian and gluten free stir fry:) Great service. Cosy place!
