The Pint Public House - Halifax

Came here to watch the Buffalo Bills game tonight and we had a great time. Our bartender Bridget was amazing! Peach was awesome too!
Great “cheap Monday” deals! Awesome poutine and immaculate vibes. Definitely come here if you’re in the area.

Love the pint! It's a great place to go for drinks and music any day of the week and they have the best wing night too.the staff are the best, allison the bouncer (i think she might be the head bouncer?) is always nice to me and my friends and does a good job at controlling the crowd outside, makes me feel safe at the pint!

Great pub atmosphere, service was efficient and friendly, food was well prepared and came in a timely fashion, no complaints at all. Keep it up.

Amazing spot, great service, hidden gem of a downstairs arcade, during day place to yourself in arcade perfect for family's or kids. Highly recommend

This is an update to a previous review:
It is really the staff of pint which makes it the best bar in Halifax. They make sure you will have a wonderful night. Their staff makes being at the pint more fun than being anywhere else. My personal favourite bartenders are Jason and Dylan. They have gone out of their way to make me feel welcome

The Pint gives you what you would expect. Classic pub style, regular live music, and good food.
I add only one caveat/warning: they add the tip to your bill for you. Be cautious when paying up, or you will end up tipping twice. I just feel that they should inform you if they plan to do that. I really enjoy the place and will be back, but I'll be checking my bill closely next time around.

Food was amazing, they have large drinks for bigger events like a full on table keg at a reasonable price

Also the arcade in the bottom is fantastic!

It is a little loud in there to make it harder to hear people but other than that perfect

Our server Ian was super personable and despite a full patio made himself available, checked on us frequently. The patio had a great view, the high walls also helped to cut out some of the harbour front wind.

If I had any gripe at all it was that the breaded fish was slightly over done, a little dry, but the poutine with it was delicious. Had a great little outing here.

Recommend the potato skins!

I've visited several times, service is consistently slow and poor, especially with larger groups.
On my last visit, I left my credit card with the bartender to run a tab. The bartender gave my credit card to a random person, somehow without clearing the tab. The card has not been recovered. I've called several times, they do not answer the phone.

I am not sure if they were understaffed on the patio but the service was atrocious. Beer was served just above room temperature - my favourite on a hot afternoon

Visited on a Wednesday for wings and beverages. Although the place was busy, it does not excuse the wait time. After being seated we waited 15 minutes before a server provided us with a menu. We ordered on the spot as we expected her return to take just as long. It was another 30 minutes before our beverages arrived and our wings took approximately one hour before being served. We were watching the other orders coming from the kitchen and the only items leaving were wings with the exception of the occasional burger. Also, there were not a lot of orders departing the kitchen, and this is where the establishment is falling short. However, the wings were cooked for an appropriate amount of time, served hot, and had sufficient sauce. I would recommend visiting this place for wings, but only if it is not busy.

Went there during burger week and Wednesday wings night. Wings were decent. But burgers were great! It’s busy so wait time was LONG, but super friendly staff and waiter made it durable.

They need kitchen staff like a tradesman needs a Pepsi. This place could do so much better if it didn’t take 2.5 hours to get through a table of 4.

Some of the bouncers also tend to mumble requests then get condescending when you understandably don’t hear them, but that’s somewhat uncommon.

Don't go here to watch the game. They'll advertise the game, then 10pm hits and they start to play a DJ so loud you can't hear the person beside you. Way wayyyy too loud.

Awesome place. Was packed, but our waitress was over to us within 2 minutes, and had our drinks maybe 3 minutes after we ordered them. We both had fish and chips, amazing. Next time we are in town it will be our first stop. Atmosphere was laid back, everyone was happy, and the place was very clean

It’s not all too terrible, but for some reason even though I’ve never caused or made any problem at this place whatsoever the bouncer told me that I’m banned which makes absolutely no sense if you go through my track record. That’s one thing about Halifax bars that is a bunch of bologna: once you’re banned from 1 or 2 places, the bouncers always snitch on you abs about you to other places. After a while it’s super hard to get in almost anywhere. I have Autism, and a bunch of other mental health problems, and people need to understand and show a bit more understanding for those of us in society who are judged, labelled, and pigeon holed by everyone who can’t accept or be reasonable towards those in society who are different.

Wings were tasty and server was nice, but we waited for 15 minutes for our bill while our server took a large order and the snotty bartender refused to stop cutting limes to help us pay our bill so we could leave.strange

The waitress was so rude my friends and I had to leave and find another place to spend the night. She kicked us out of a table of 6 because we were only 5 (?) and said we needed to sit on the tables of 4 in the back which clearly didn't fit all of us. When I asked another waitress if we could move to a bigger table she said yes, but then the other one came back and said "I literally just said you cannot sit here" in a very rude tone. There were about 3 big tables available so I really don't understand why we couldn't have any of them. Sounds like they care more about filling the place up than making their costumers comfortable.

Oh man, terrible service. I think our server was Morgan? He was rude and dismissive of our group. One girl wanted to ask a question about gluten free (she has celiac, and they advertised as a GF option for burger week) and he was super rude for no reason, then snapped at people who misunderstood the burger week promotion. Then acted like we were stupid for a question about the redbulls. Then didn't check on us or bring our bills in any sort of prompt manner after we got boxes and our table cleared. The restaurant was pretty dead at the time too.
You can look at my account and see I'm not some crazy person who rates restaurants poorly. This was such a fluke situation, I've been to other Pints and had a great time.
I had the fish burger for burger week and it was nicely crisp and I really enjoyed that and the cocktails I ordered.
