The Shanty Café

I was lucky to have a voucher from performing for music week, the food was delicious! The waitresses were quite very friendly as well! Lastly the music and atmosphere in there is wonderful and it seems very tidy.

Highly recommend you stop by shanty cafe if you are passing by in Yarmouth for a nice breakfast and lunch!

We tried their cappuccino and drip coffee both were strong and fresh. The cafe seems to be a local popular, it was packed on a Monday morning! The server was a nice and courteous. Unfortunately didn't get to eat any there since we had already had our breakfast at home but definitely going back if we do visit Yarmouth in the future.

We LOVED this stop for breakfast. Our server, Kara, from the moment we walked in was delightful and welcoming. The homemade bread was great and breakfast overall was DELICIOUS.

Great place! Really good service! The Cubano sandwich with Black Bean soup was delicious. Chicken quesadillas awesome.
Reasonable prices! We'll be back!

Nice little Cafe, kinda cramped but that's alright.
Small service, but I like the amediet serving for water, forks and knives right when you sit.
The food is nice, highly suggest the, "Big Mason Breakfast" if you have a big appetite.
Overall, 4 stars

This will be a regular place that we go to in Yarmouth. Food was excellent as was the service. Also spotlessly clean and a nice bright environment to have lunch in.

Wonderful spot, whole family enjoyed the friendly service, delicious food and Nova Scotia vibes. Excellent and extensive menu. As of Nov 30,2022 they're open 7am-2pm, closed evenings and weekends. Manager I spoke with send hrs will be extended for Spring and Summer seasons. Please give them a visit and enjoy!

Food was absolutely delicious, me and my partner were both full and happy by the time we left. But the real praise here should go to the service. Our waitress was absolutely amazing, super kind, very friendly, and made sure to get us everything we asked for. When we packed up, she brought an extra cup of coffee in a to go mug for my partner. It was wonderful

The service was friendly and fast. The food was delicious. My husband said it was the best club house he has ever had.

My dad and I enjoyed the Breakfast Sandwich which included a homemade sandwich bun with a mini-omelet, bacon, cheddar cheese, and real mayo. It was delicious!

Waitress was friendly and her service was impeccable. The presentation of the food was amazing showing thoughfulness and SOOOOO GOOD! As usual and affordablel! Love the ambiance too! My favorite restaurant!

Breakfast was pretty good. Typical greasy spoon type with some extra options like waffles and fruit! I’m giving it four stars because relative to everything else around, it deserves it, but I’d caution you not to expect gourmet or fine dining here. It’s just good.

Lovely breakfast or lunch place. We had a traditional breakfast and mine came with 3 long and superbly delicious sausages! Very filling. Kind and chatty staff were much appreciated.

Fresh ingredients. Flavorful food. We loved our lunch. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcomed. Highly recommend to anyone interested in fresh and healthy food choices. The seafood chowder is sublime!

French toast was delicious.
Husband had the Shanty breakfast.
2 eggs, bacon, toast and panfries. Coffee was included with Shanty breakfast, panfries were optional.
Everything was hot, and friendly service.

Only getting a two star because of our waitress. Has great customer service.
Food was dry no flavour. Eggs overcooked and brown Sausage was dry and tasted gross bacon was very greasy.
The omelet was not worth 15. No hash browns etc.first time being there never going back.

The Shanty Café was a delightful surprise & experience! Everything was absolutely delicious and prepared with local organic ingredients. The staff were very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable, An absolute MUST TRY when in Yarmouth!

I brought my dad in for breakfast, after he had an appointment at the hospital & was unable to eat for 24hrs. Coffee & tea were hot & delicious. Breakfast was wonderful (could have been a bit hotter) it was a cold snowy day & temp inside may have been a factor. Overall a lovely experience & left full & happy.

Food quality was terrible, everything felt as if it were expired. Service was poor, and prices were terrible based on the quality. Not sure how this place remains open

Went with my mom for lunch… I have a new fave spot in town… wow this was amazing huge shout out to the apple ginger soup that is to DIE for!
