Live music and $2.50 beers, enough said. This place does the trick, and the people there are ready for a good time at all times.

Power hour busy as expected, (haven’t gone on another day) but service was still solid. Just don’t expect sitting room if you show up at 9! Guy at the door gave my friend a hard time with her ID which was annoying…

I wish you could put zero stars. My daughter and her service dog were refused entry. She produced documentation when asked and her dog was well behaved. She had documentation in digital form which wasn’t good enough? !? ! Do you know how this makes a person with a disability feel? Notes taken… human rights complaint?

Very chill and unpretentious, and exactly what we were looking for in a pub setting. Food was solid and very reasonably priced, and the service was friendly.

Food as per normal was hot and really good.not very quick getting menus or getting our order taken but it was busy

Looks like a neat place. Got there at 6: 30. Was immediately told on walking in that they "don't allow noisy kids after 7. " So we took that as our hint to leave with our 11 month old. She wasn't noisy, and there is probably a better way to tell us about that rule instead of the abrupt manner they did. We wouldn't have gone if we had known, just thought we would put it here for other parents looking for a restaurant with power after a hurricane.

I went there twice. Nothing special. Halifax bars are ultra corrupt when you consider the fact that places are allowed to ban you for zero valid reason at all. Even if you haven’t caused problems at a certain establishment, they tend to label and judge you as if you’re a bad person based on what they’ve heard. I’m seriously thinking of talking to the mayor or whoever is in charge of bars in the city and such legislation and getting it changed. It’s beyond unreasonable and not the way to treat people who might just happen to have Autism, and treat them as if they’re a bad apple. The only reason why I’m not ranking it a 1, is because almost every other bar downtown operates in the same manner and I’m sick and tired of it. A change must be made for how Halifax bars operate. The culture, the aggression, bars being allowed to act with impunity, playing the judging and labelling game, it all needs to stop.

Nice spot. NOT if you want a quiet spot for conversation. The entertainment was doing a sound check and hearing the opening of an Eagles cover done six times was a little disconcerting. Staff were friendly and service was good.

I love the wings and beer deal on Tuesdays, one of the best deals downtown. We try to arrive early before the live music kicks off. No disrespect to the artist but, it’s way too loud, impossible to have a conversation with your mate after a long days work.

Beer is cold and wings are delicious.

Went on a Saturday afternoon for a few drinks with girlfriends. Atmosphere is great, live music, sat at bar, bartenders were great. Good selection of local beers and ciders. Very busy but still had great service. Iconic Halifax bar that has never disappointed.

Service was very good and friendly, but the food good have been a bit better. Fries tasted a bit dry. The sandwiches are usually a good bet.

Great pub atmosphere, friendly staff multi levels for seating, live music was good and was a fun place to randomly find and have some drinks at.

My first time back in a while and it was just like I remembered. Great selection of drinks our server Pat the Ninja really took care of us and had great suggestions, our app platter was perfect just the right amount for sharing. We still wanted to have more drinks and Pat made sure we knew where to go!

Haven't been here in years. Glad the wild wind drove us inside for an ale. Lovely staff.
