So torn about how I feel about my experiences here. I’ve been many times as i’m just down the road, i love the convenience and accessibility of booking and being able to go in so soon. Everyone is always so kind and I haven’t had a bad experience with any of the workers at all.

My main issue is my service is just never what I hope. I mainly had been going here for leg waxes every 2 or 3 months, but left every time with prickly legs and missed patches I always had to shave after, so i started doing my own waxes at home.
I also needed a new place to get a lash lift, I tried out ten spot because I could get in the next day and although the technician was so nice my lift only lasted a few days compared to how they last when I would get them done in the US. I’m very familiar with the after care needed for a last lift so was disappointed in my results after a year of receiving them in the US.
I wish more attention was given to adjusting the service to each individuals skin/hair/lash type. Feels very ‘by the book’ but that method will not work on everyone. Everyone’s lashes are different and I could tell there was not as much focus or pre preparation put on deciding how the service could could be adjusted for each customer as an individual. Very hard to justify $100 for self car services nowadays and disappointing when it feels like i could have used that money more effectively.

Cancelled my appointment with less then 3 hours notice by email. No phone call. When I expressed I could not reschedule as I was going out of town and this was a pre-wedding appointment for multiple services, so it was a big deal to cancel, their response was “no worries” rather than an apology. Will not be going back. Very unprofessional.

Edited to add: please extend my sympathies to Moe and her family. I understand that cancellations happen and situations arise that are beyond your control. The 1 star is in response to the way that the cancellation was handled.

Great experience! I had a manicure done by Amanda, which was the BEST I have had to date (and I have had a few to compare). Appointment was on time, people were friendly, place was clean and relaxing. I will be back.

It is 32 degrees outside with humidity of 34. Inside temp is 30. There is 1 tiny fan running nd they have a small portable air conditioner that is broken apparently. Come on Management you can do better! Had Kaylin do my pedicure. Thanks for the great service despite the poor conditions Kaylin!

I highly recommend The Ten Spot. Kennedie is always amazing! She gives the best mani/pedis and her waxing services are quick and painless.

I had laser treatment today. Reanne (sp) was very professional. She explained the procedure as we went along. Reanne was confident, personable and knowledgeable.

I would definitely not recommend getting a Brazilian wax here. They did very large sections of wax at a time so there was a lot of tugging which made it more painful than it had to be, my skin got ripped, and a lot of hair was missed.

Fast, efficient and was made to feel super comfortable during the wax. I've already told all my friends- amazing spot!

On my mothers birthday I treated her and I to a Mini Pedi and Mani. I have to say both of us were disappointed. It has been 6 day and I have nail polish coming off on 4 fingers. You do not a drying method for your customer and this leads to unfinished product. The both nail techs did not offer a method to dry the nails after the polish (FAN.light.idk I'm not the expert) and we were both left sitting wondering.ahh what's next.just leave.upon leaving I bumped my nail, they id offer to fix it but the fix.was very poor. Moral of the story, I will not be back. I spent $150 and feel like the jo could have been better. Both my mother and I have noted we had better service at other nail salons for that price point.

Had a brazilian and a leg wax. Very clean, friendly staff, and were able to fit me in same day, which is great! I ended up purchasing their monthly discount package, since I know I'll be back. Looking forward to trying a pedicure next!

I am not from Nova Scotia but was in desperate need of a pedi. I came to this location because of the reviews. The woman that did my pedicure was very nice and took her time. However, I've never gotten a pedicure where they didn't clean under the nails, also when removing cuticles (which I will go home and do) she removed next to nothing, and didn't remove skin along the side of my big toe nails and even then didn't remove it all. When I said I wanted my nails short she pushed the nail cutter right up to my skin, continued pushing, tilted the clippers up then cut, you can cut to a certain length then file it down the rest of the way instead of pushing the clippers into my toes.
Then the cost at the end blew me away - I am from Toronto, and have never paid 93$ (after tax) or even close to it, and I'm still having to go home, clean under my nails and clean up the cuticles along the side. This is nothing against the girl that actually did my pedi, again she was very kind and gentle, just maybe new? My nails look great which is nice but to go home and complete what I would assume would get done for 93$$$$ is really disappointing.

Great place for friends to go together for services that is clean and professional. Ladies were great to conversate with as well!

Apparently you can’t get a pedicure if you have a callus/wart on your foot because they are highly contagious. However, you can get a pedicure if you have covid as that is not highly contagious?

I was happy with the services I had completed and it was very clean and sanitary. All staff were professional and welcoming. I am so glad I found this beauty bar right in Bedford.

I booked an appointment online for a shellac manicure. Entered all my contact info, including credit card information as requested to secure the booking, left work early to make the appointment, only to be told there was no appointment and “this happens sometimes”. There also was no way to fit me in. Extremely disappointing to say the least.

I love coming here for my waxes. They do have other options, but I am yet to try them out.

Very professional and clean environment.

Got a gel pedicure a couple weeks ago and it's held up really well so far. Service was friendly. Place is really clean, and the complementary toe wax was really nice to have. I thought it was a bit on the expensive side, and the chairs they do the predicted in wasn't the most comfortable compared to others.

Received a wonderful pedicure from Renee. Would highly recommend her and The X Spot for services.

First time going to this place. Great experience! I am so bad with names so I am not sure who we seen but there was 3 of us and we each had our own girl. They were all amazing. What a wonderful experience. Very clean, bright and professional. My personal experience was with a fairly new Esthetician, Alexis. Not hard to tell she loves her profession, she was extremely knowledgeable, talkative, she went above and beyond to make me feel like a ten, this girl is “the ten girl” can’t wait to come back and enjoy many services with Alexis!

I was referred by a friend to this quaint beautiful spot to see Alexis. I was not disappointed. I felt so comfortable and informed regarding all their Covid protocols. My pedi was the best I’ve ever received in my life and Alexis was so professional and attentive, she made me feel above and beyond at 10! You have found a client for life! Can’t wait to come back!

This new little spa is a hidden gem in the heart of Bedford. You walk in and are greeted by a clean bright functional space. My service was book with a sweet lady named Alexis and she did not disappoint. Very educated, informative and professional and a breath of fresh air. I would highly recommend her to anyone. I’ll be back for sure!

I had a pedicure and it was so relaxing and just what I needed. Everyone was super friendly from the front desk to the aesteticians. The place has good vibes all around. Maddison did am amazing job with my eyebrows, I have had a lot of compliments since then and will definitely be a repeat customer.

This is the first time I went to The Ten Spot. I heard about the franchise from my friend who went to the one on Spring Garden and had great experiences. I called the same day asking if they had availability for a brow appointment. The lady on the phone was very polite. I had a specific request, and she ensured she had the right answer before letting me know. When I got there, to my surprise, the esthetician I loved at The Benefit Brow Bar had just started there! The way Madison does my brows is top notch. I highly recommend going to The Ten Spot whether it's for Madison's amazing brows or the very clean, bright, friendly, welcoming environment you will receive upon arrival.

I went in today feeling like a 9 and I left feeling like 10. The space is great and the staff even better. Can’t wait to go back for my next pedicure.
