Ordered 3 donairs and a 2pc chicken snack meal. I repeated the order back to them again to make sure they got it all twice. When we got the food home we only had 1 donair and the chicken wasn’t cooked properly. Called them and they said they didn’t have time to make anymore because they were closing so told us not to eat it and bring it to them tomorrow. It was our supper we weren’t going to wrap it up and take it back to them the next day! Wasn’t impressed

Had a donair from here today as my usual place was out of meat.
Was quite surprised, awesome flavor. I will definitely be back.

Ordered the chicken meal and was extremely disappointed. The chicken had a gross coating on it and tasted weird. The coleslaw was made with oil instead of miracle whip and the fries were burnt. For almost $60 won’t be going back

Serving raw chicken, customer service was bad, alot of videos and complaints online about this place.

Great food with a large menu. We had poutine, a donair and a hot dog.
If this was eat in, it would be perfect.

We stopped by this takeout spot on our way to Sydney NS and ordered a Jr Donair, Fried Chicken & Fries, Bowl of Chili. The Jr Donair was delicious and easy to eat and perfect serving for a quick bite. The 2pc fried chicken was well-seasoned and fries was hot, fresh, and crispy. The bowl of chili was hearty and not too spicy so perfect for a rainy day. Food was great, service was friendly and quick, atmosphere I didn’t rate as high as it’s really just a pickup/takeout counter and no seating inside but they do have uncovered picnic tables outside on a sunny day if you want to sit down and eat.

Very sad to see what had happened to a once great restaurant. I only come out here once a year, and it used to be great. Now it isn't even mediocre. Just like I like Italians and Greeks to make my pizza and Chinese to make my Chinese food. It's not racist, but if you don't know what you are doing, please stop trying your hand in everything because the sad reality is you aren't good at very much. I live in Port Hope Ontario where this has become an epidemic. We have lost Greek restaurants and Pizza places this way and it's terrible! Here's hoping this didn't continue to happen on this lovely island!

Went in at 840 pm and they would not make a poutine never had the food here but wont be coming back still had 20 mins! Couldn’t even make one poutine! People have no drive and more would have tipped good!

This is my third time trying Tom & Ettes kitchen food. The first time I had chicken and fries it was really good. The second time I had chicken and fries it was to say the least very unappealing, way overdone and the portion size of the chicken was so tiny it looked like it came from a small bird. I just picked up the fish special for today and my husband and I tried the Donair. The Donair was tasty but lacked ingredients like vegetables. The fish was probably the worst I have ever seen or eaten for that matter. It looked like there was no batter or the better was left in the deep fryer, was way to overdone. The coleslaw didn't pass our approval either. I try to shop local and support our community. Get on the cooks to do a better job really have to take more Pride in the cooking of your food. It's not the flavor it's definitely the way it is being cooked, everything seems to be way overdone. Forgot to mention the french fries again way too overdone. I don't like to send negative reviews but you really have to take seriously these reviews so you can improve. If everyone's food was like mine you should be in fear of having no customers.

I’ve been visiting this store since I was a kid. Saw it was no longer Myetts on my way out from the airport while being home on vacation. Saw the signs stating it was the best donair…
Stopped in for a medium donair. 15 minute wait. They added a piece of fried chicken as a way to apologize for the wait, which was honestly nice.
That being said, the donair was terrible. Meat was slimy, drenched in donair sauce, and just bad. Chicken was edible.
I’m sorry to say how disappointed I am with the meal after seeing the reviews and looking forward to it.

Kept hearing on the radio about the best Donair around. So I took my hard earned money went in and bought one for me and the Misses. It was the biggest let down ever for food. Threw most of it away. I gave them three stars because they are very nice people. Haven't been back.

This is actually a zero star review. I had heard many awful things about the owner but needed to see for myself I guess? My whole order did not show up, I called and the lady that answered asked me to come and pick the rest up, I can’t drive that’s why I had it delivered. She said she would call back. The owner called and accused me of scamming, would not refund or send what they didn’t send. Spend your money at Just in Thyme it’s better food and the staff is great.

Ok, I've had fries all over North America and I'm going to promise you right now, these are literally the best fries I've ever eaten in my life. 45 years and counting. Crispy, flavourful and all around delightful.

Anytime I'm on the East Coast, I am obviously obsessed with all things donair so it stands to reason that I ordered the doniar poutine. It was all I'd hoped it would be and more. Finished up with a mini cheesecake.

I ordered a small, and I ate it for 2 meals- so value was also fantastic.

If you haven't, you should go.

Only getting two stars because coleslaw and tarter sauce were ok, otherwise it would be 1. Fish was completely dried out, overcooked and appeared as though it may have been previously cooked and then recooked. Would not recommend.
