Tipico pasta restaurant

I really enjoyed it because it brought out the authentic taste of pasta, Canada's unique food.

Visiting from Wpg. Mb, stepping out of the car the aroma was amazing, a small little hidden restaurant, a real gem. Food was awesome, cooked to perfection and tasted as good as the aroma. Very small restaurant so quaint, worth the trip. Found it on Trip Advisor

My friend and I went there tonight (Monday, 04 Sept. 2023) for dinner. My friend had Linguine Seafood with a glass of red wine, and I had Risotto Seafood with a glass of red wine. The food was truly great, very delicious. Definitely nothing to complain about. And, the chef/owners was/were very friendly (despite of the fact that it was an extremely busy evening for them). Thank you very much for a lovely experience! Keep up the great work!

What a hidden gem! Feels like a one-man show, but run with such care and love. The same person who greeted and seated us then took our order and then prepared all of our food. He works so hard!

And the food was delicious! We had mushroom penne and it was al dente, just really well made, and the sauce was excellent. You should know that the portions are reasonably sized - not an imposing mountain of pasta on your plate. It's more like a European portion size.

Feels like they get most of their business via takeout orders online, but seating is pleasant! The place is clean and cozy.

Tipico Pasta has some of the best pasta in Halifax, and the meatballs are DELICIOUS! I have yet to go in and eat in the restaurant but I will definitely be doing that soon!:)

Fantastic food, made with love and care! Each dish is special and you will not be disappointed. Not ment for large crowds inside but summer time they have beautiful outside sitting area. Do not miss the food here!

I've lived 10 years in Europe. Since last year I'm living in Halifax and didn't expect I could find so nice pasta restaurant here. Their Carbonara, Bologneige and Jumbo Shrimp pastas are real tasty and can compete with local high quality restaurants in Italy too! How lucky I am I can enjoy soooo good tasty pasta here in Halifax!

This place is perfect for what it is - a small and low-key restaurant with very tasty and satisfying dishes at reasonable prices. We had the mushroom linguini and it was delicious - vegetables perfectly cooked, rich creamy sauce, good-sized portion. Love the cozy space and clean-lines decor. Perfect when you want a satisfying home-cooked meal in a comfortable spot.

Sausage pasta was good, not a huge portion but alright. Caesar salad extremely disappointing. Kraft dressing, no bacon, no croutons, just lettuce with bad dressing and for some reason onion and a tomato. Would not order again.

Good points: food was fast, fresh and very delicious (although we both agreed that there could have been a bit more bacon in our pasta). Good prices and prompt service. Very clean and tidy inside.
Could be better: decor is minimal and menu is very small with no desserts. Honestly, a little dimmer light switch and a few candles would make a big difference to the dinner service.

However, overall it was a lovely dinner and the food was great. I rated 5 stars bc there was nothing 'wrong', just lacking in a few areas which is more of a preference for us.

What a pleasant surprise! After a long travel day we wanted a meal for the family that wasn’t the typical “pizza because it’s easy” and opted for Tipico.

Everything was super fresh. Each sauce had its own interesting approach and the Carbonara was quite unique! Very impressed and a great addition to Fairview

We did take out, but do look forward to enjoying a meal on their patio this summer.

The cutest little restaurant with excellant service. The food was amazing and the prices are more than fair. Definitely recommend if you are a pasta lover. The spaghetti bolognese was delish!

We visited Tipico less than a week from opening, and we really hope that they are here to stay! The restaurant is very accessible, located just off the highway exit and by bus routes.

The food is fantastic! We tried three different things: the Fettuccini Spinach, Linguine Jumpo Shrimp and Carbonara Spagetti. They were all phenomenally tasty and portions sizes are great!

The service was lovely and we were greeted with friendly smiles in the clean and tidy restaurant.

We will definitely become new regulars at this neighborhood restaurant! We just went again last night!

The pasta is fresh and delicious. This restaurant is very clean and it also has parking spaces. I'll visit again soon.
