Horrible and rude service. Making there customers uncomfortable and not welcome. Spend your money somewhere else that deserves it more. Definitely not the “best pizza in Halifax”.

I waited for 5 minutes before someone came out from the back. They were busy laughing and smoking. It seemed like I was bothering them. I asked for ice for my Coke and was told there is none but that the Coke was cold. It was not. Pizza was so-so. The crust was not very crispy and the basil was incredibly bitter. I ended up pulling all the basil off the pizza as it was just not eatable with it on there.

Ordered a pizza and Caesar salad - pizza was good, lots of toppings but nothing to write home about. Expected a pizza cooked on a hot stone so the crust was a bit chewy. Salad was good, nice flavour but could have had a little more dressing.

Exceptional Takeout Experience at Tomavinos Ristorante

I recently had takeout from Tomavinos Ristorante and was thoroughly impressed. I ordered the Tomavino's Combo pizza, which featured fresh dough and a generous assortment of high-quality toppings.

We ordered 10 pizzas for an event at the Garrison Friday, and were very disappointed. The bottom of the crust was like paper and we couldn’t cut through it. Originally when I called to ask about my online order, a grumpy man, who I assume must be the owner, was short with me. I called back the next day and thankfully someone different answered the phone. When the employee put the phone down to go ask the owner my question, he started yelling at him and was so rude. I overheard the whole conversation. I’m surprised he is able to keep any employees. It was very poor customer service. Btw the woman and young man working there were very helpful and the delivery service was excellent! We will never return.

Went to Tomavinos for supposedly a "great pizza". On a Wednesday evening (Around 6pm) we tried to order 2 medium pizza's. The front end staff told us that they didn't have any medium dough made up for eat in orders. We were told it would screw up their delivery orders?
But if we wanted to order it to go that was fine. This made absolutely no sense to me. Since we were in Halifax from out of town.taking a pizza back to the hotel wasn't what we were looking for. All we wanted to do was have a good pizza.and a few beers for supper. Couldn't believe the server wouldn't take our order. I guess he was ok with missing out on a (guessing 90-100) order. Also, there wasn't a sole in the restaurant.

Lucky for us. The extremely poor service here sent us looking for another spot. We actually ended up at Salvatore's Pizzaiola Trattoria. The best pizza I've ever had!

Good pizza and many not typical varities and I was surprised to hear from the owner that onion and garlic is not used in their tomato sauce. I liked the layout of this small restaurant as well.

We use to order from here on a regular basis- last couple orders were cold and tasted awful. When we went to pick up the pizza the person working the counter totally ignored my spouse who had to ask if he could be served.

I’ve been ordering pizza from here for decades…when it was Thomasinos…. Just paid $34 for the most mediocre medium pizza and they got the order wrong…. Paid for Soppressata and none to be seen….

Best pizza outside of NJ. They know how to make good pizza in Nova Scotia. The tomato sauce was outstanding.

Good pizza but the service could be better.also it’s wrote 14$ for a pizza and they charge you 16$ didn’t eat it there so it was a take out why charge more?

Ordered a large pizza, large garlic fingers, and a diet pepsi. Pizza is dry and lacks sauce, fingers are incredibly greasy. "White Sauce" for garlic fingers dipping is pure liquid with no texture. My drink never came and my order was +$3 more than what the website said. $60 for nothing. Oh and you cant call them to possibly remedy this issue, thier system is only online. I am just visiting halifax, but I dont recommend this place at all. Trip advisor is wrong.

Great food be prepared to wait a bit if you go when a cruise ship is in as they can get a bit overwhelmed around lunch

Overall taste wasn't bad but I was really disappointed in the crust. It was very chewy and looked like it was barely cooked. Trip advisor rated this the best pizza in halifax and honestly it wouldn't even make my top 5.

Ok pizzas. When they finally came. Showed up 40 minutes after calling. No customers in store or in line. They’d forgot them somewhere in the kitchen. Left with 2 cold pizzas for over 50$ total, an hour after ordering. Great.

I watched as one of the employees dropped tongs on the floor tha proceeded to pick them up and kept using them without cleaning. Also the person i assume is the manager was argueing with another enployee pretty loudly with no regard.

The Margherita pizza is an absolute must have. Top it with extra olive oil, sea salt at hot peppers. Wow! Had to come back and buy another one later because it was so good! Will be back next time I’m in halifax!

Real dough, real pizza and fun options to create your own variation on their signature pies. They carry a few of the next door brews, wine and soft drinks. Service is quick and honest. Pizzas a quite tasty.

The only reason I deduct a star is because the ambiance is a little lacking but the sidewalk patio is fine. The food is top notch. The salads are incredibly tasty. In fact I go back for the salad primarily and the pizza second but it is good pizza and ranks among Salvetore's and Mothers Pizza. I Highly recommend this place in summer. (Their Chianti is also much better than I got at d'Maurizio's downtown)

The margherita pizza was delicious, with a Garrison Brewery Red Ale. The staff was especially nice.

The pizza is amazing. I tried the ambrosia and I don't know what they did to it but it was amazing.

We were walking around sightseeing and decided that this looked like a good place for lunch. The lobster roll was delicious and came with a nice salad. Their pizzas smelled so good. This is an order at the counter operation, and service was fast and efficient.

Pizza is delicious. I found the menu to be kind of limited and a bit confusing (somehow other people were able to order larger pizzas but we couldn't see that on the menu). It's more self service (you order and pay at the counter and they bring to your table). Great to pair with some brews at Garrison right after.

Fresh hot pizza and more! Even their slices are made fresh. Waited a out 15 minutes for our 9" Canadian 'za. It was well worth the wait!

La nourriture y est excellente et c'est plutôt rapide. J'y suis allée deux fois ce weekend en voyage et ce n'était pas achalandé. Prix abordables.

The space is small so it could get really busy.

I did like that they had pop from the neighbouring Garrison brewery.

Fantastic! The owner and staff top notch. Fantastic pizza. They take a lot of pride in what they do. The owner Tom is the best!

Tomavinos'staff is friendly. The restaurant decor is minimalist-simple quality. Friday night at 7: 30 was not overly busy. I shared a greek salad and the milano pizza. Both were fresh and flavorful. The crust on the pizza was excellent-crisp, chewy and tasty.

Owner is so kind and friendly! Nice atmosphere. Pizza is so-so in terms of doneness and toppings but the owner cares about the ingredients and where they are sourced. Wish the patio was in the sun like the old location.
