Tom's Family Restaurant

Depends on the day. They've make alot of mistake, sent extremely inedible food, but half the time it's decent, and sometimes it's really good. It's a 50 50 chance you'll end up wasting your money. Not alot of options for those with allergies in sackville so I keep trying. I just wish they'd stop messing up my food and giving me gluten and dairy. It's such a risk everytime I order out

The food is always great, no bad meals here and no long waiting petiods. The serving staff are awesome to deal with. This is definatelly a favourite and highly recomended it.

I absolutely enjoyed it—a cozy restaurant located on a very busy street.
Not living nearby, I value having dining options beyond fast food when I'm out. Despite only visiting twice, the experience has been consistently delightful. The food, especially the clubhouse and fries during my last visit, was exceptional. The chicken was incredibly juicy, and the bacon flavor stood out, providing a refreshing contrast to fast food alternatives. The fries were perfectly cooked and fresh. Even my fussy teenager thoroughly enjoyed his meal.

Surprisingly, both visits during suppertime revealed the place wasn't crowded, offering a relaxed atmosphere. Service was prompt, and the server checked in to ensure everything was satisfactory. With good quality food and reasonable prices, whether dining alone, with family, or friends, I would certainly recommend it.

What a great spot. We went last week and had the most lovely waitress. Hot hamburger and hot chicken sandwich were delicious.

The dining room has six heat pumps, the ambient temp was fantastic. It was a room, one of both temperature and ambience. One could dare say it was room temperature.

Their donair plate concerns me while also intriguing and cautiously exciting me. Reason enough to return, eh?

Tom's always good, getting a little pricey, but most places are. Great place alone or with family or friends.

The prices are higher than their menu online. The Caesar salad says it comes with Parmigiano Reggiano, it's actually the powdered shaker Parmesan. The poutine says it comes with cheese curds, it came with mozzarella. The burger was flavorless, even McDonald's understands how to use salt and pepper. The best part of the meal were the croutons, don't change those.

Restaurant went downhill, The atmosphere felt like the restaurant was on its last breath.food "hot hamburger" was not tasty. The fries overbooked. I was not impressed and will not return.

We just left there and the waitresses ask me if everything was OK because I didn't eat my sandwich. I told her no because it was soggy, then she comes back with the bill and they never took any money off at all. I think that terrible of this place. Not the waitresses fault but the business it's self. Guess I won't be going back there and we were regulars.

Disappointed customers

I called in for breakfast. It was 930am and there were lots of locals (who seemed to know each other) enjoying their food. That's a good sign, people seem to visit time and time again. My server Colette had a terrific smile to lift everyone's spirits on a rainy day. Both the servers were excellent. The food was great, and the coffee was flowing. I felt the prices were a bit on the high side but hey, they have to make a profit, and I was glad to support this local diner.

Have been coming here for years. Definitely worth stopping and trying it out if you're in the area. Their Caesar wraps are my favorite.

We showed up unannounced with 28 people for lunch. The staff hit a homerun with us. You could tell it was not their first rodeo. Everything went smooth, and they were probably not staffed for such a large group, but you couldn't tell.

I had the sack-vegas burger and it was good.

We ate at Toms last night.
I ordered the chicken parm. I was surprised at the portion. The portion was under half what I have seen in the past with an increase of 3-4 dollars. I think the chicken was about 1/8 of a pounded out chicken
I will not recommend as all prices have gone up and portions and service has gone down

This place was on our list for a while! We went for an early lunch and we’re greeted by a wonderful lady who happened to be our server. I wish I could remember her name!

The vibe in the place was super cute and nice. The music was great, and the tables were nice and clean. The bathrooms were also very clean.

I ordered the chicken strips with fries and gravy on the side, and my brother ordered the chicken sandwich on a brioche bun with fries. The fries were amazing. I love a good fry! The chicken burger was good according to my brother, and the chicken strips were also great! The gravy was a little flavourless but with some salt and pepper added in it really made a difference when you dip your fries in it.

We then ordered the cinnamon bun cheesecake. My brother thought it had too much cinnamon but I beg to differ. It was delicious but also wasn’t what I was expecting. It does have a layer of cake on the bottom, with a cinnamon layer and then the cheesecake filling and frosting on top. It was very delicious and I would order it again!

Overall I’m excited to come back and try breakfast and a few other lunch/dinner menu items!

I had haddock tips which were not fresh and over cooked. I know my fish was brought up on it.
