1st time at a motel. Wasn't impressed with the room but the view of the lake was great. The fit and finish of the tiling and room materials was novice. Dead bugs on the ceiling, blinds etc. For the price it was ok especially with the continental breakfast.

Awesome fries and chicken burgers (fried chicken)! Good deal, quick service clean space, accessible easy to find location. I haven’t stayed in a room, but my relatives have and enjoyed it. Nice to have a game room for rainy CB days.

I loved the stay. Good breakfast, great view, amazing rooms and comfortable stay. Only issue I had was I asked for early check-in which was approved by the third party website I used to book the hotel, but the hotel didn’t had any information about it. I had to wait like an hour, but they allowed us to sit comfortably in the waiting area, and gave us the first room available. Very understandable issue in busy days. Happens and not a big deal.
But I loved the stay, I highly recommend them.

We are so sad that we couldn’t spend much time here. Had to leave so early next day morning. Very beautiful location and yummy food. I would recommend this place for sure. Very convenient to stay after the scenic drive through Cabot Trial.

If you are coming for the first time, book in the building 1. It has amazing view. The owner was very accommodating and kind person showed us around the whole property.
Room: Rooms are decent for the price we pay, the view is the best part of this place. Also I rate all the hotel rooms based on the shower this place can be rated as the best motel shower.
Food:
Dinner - We had combo 6 on the menu, loved the zinger burger, was not a big fan of FRIED CHICKEN though, needs some improvement.
Breakfast - It was very nice, had many different items and the owner made sure it was served hot and fresh
PERSONAL REQUEST: IF THE WATER FACING SIDE WOULD BE DARK IN THE NIGHT WITH NO LIGHTS ON OR MOVEMENT SENSING LIGHTS. THE VIEW OF STARS AND MOON WOULD BE ON THE NEXT LEVEL.

Overall, 3/5. The room itself - king bed with a lake view - was nice. Wifi was good and interestingly didn't require a password. The bed was large and comfortable, the room size was good, there's a desk and fridge. Check-in was easy and the receptionist was very curt and straight to the point. Breakfast was not good - the only passable thing was the orange juice. I'm also not sure why the server decided to vacuum the dining room during breakfast? This was the most expensive place I've stayed in during my 2+ week in Nova Scotia but it certainly wasn't the best - value for money I'd choose elsewhere next time.

Small dated rooms, high fees for pets that is demanded up front apparently. Off season rooms selection not great. Sound proofing not done well.

Poor parking

Owner came banging on the door demanding pet fees up front after we already spent one night.
When I offered to cover the fee at check the owner refused and demanded it up front saying hotels are paid upfront.
Watch he or his umpalumpa daughter reply childishly to this review like the others.

Complete lack of respect and compassion as we were here for a family funeral.

We stayed there in Sept ‘22. Room was clean and had been updated in the previous year but the update was a diy poor job. Was ok for one night. The restaurant was a 3 out of 10 maybe. Only served fish and chips and meal came in takeout boxes with plastic cutlery. I would not recommend this place.
