This is not a fancy hotel and I didn’t expect that. It was clean and comfortable and quiet. I was only there for a night but it served its purpose.

Posting under Alias. This place is a dive. I will never stay there again. Literally everything in my room was sticky. Window was broken. TV didn't work. Didn't even had a plug connected. Was just there for show I guess. Dirty carpet. There was only 1/3 roll of toilet paper provided. But the icing on the cake is I'm pretty sure they stole my credit card number. Shortly after I stayed there fraudulent charges appeared on my card. I can't prove it. But I only previously used that card at legit places like Sobey's, Shell, and NSLC. And I doubt they stole it. So if you have the unfortunate experience of staying here, CHECK YOUR CARD STATEMENT!

If I could leave a 0/5 I would. This motel is horribly run.
My partner and I were meant to stay the night on August 5,2023. When we walked into the room there was a strong unpleasant smell and there were dead bugs smeared on the stained carpets and walls. The bed was very poorly made and there was no duvet cover on the duvet. Before we fell asleep we checked for bed bugs and didn't see any but we did see an earwig on the sheet. We took it off and believed that would be the end of it but a couple of minutes later when we had turned off the lights my partner felt pinching and when he turned on the lights there were several other earwigs crawling in the bed under the covers. While earwigs aren't a sign of the motel being dirty, it was not possible for us to continue to stay the night with earwigs crawling on us. We went to the front desk to tell them that we would be leaving and politely asked if a refund was possible. The man at the front desk filed a report and said that a refund would be issued within 4 business days.
Today on August 16,2023 I checked my bank statements and saw that the issue had not been issued yet. I called the motel and spoke with the owner. He was extremely rude. First he said that I was lying and had never booked a room at all. He finally conceded that I had come and paid for the room when I referenced my email confirmation. I explained to him that I had not received the refund yet and wanted to check that it was being processed. The owner said that there aren't any bugs in any of his motels because they pay an exterminator to come. When I explained that I understood that but there were many bugs in the room and that there were in fact earwigs in the bed that had been crawling on us the owner changed his story again and said "What do you expect? ! It's the middle of the woods! " I calmly explained that I understand that these things happen and that I wasn't upset about the bugs but I did want receive my refund as his employee had already told me that it would be issued.
The owner said that there is a report on file about my stay and that it is documented that we left in the middle of the night because of the bugs in the bed but that when he went to check on the room he didn't see any bugs.
I continued to tell him that his employee had promised that a refund would be made within 4 business days and he continued to say that he doesn't believe that there are bugs and so a refund will not be made.
During this conversation he raised his voice at me almost the entire duration of the call, he interrupted me, he continued to change his version of events, and he called me a liar.
When I told him that I would write a negative review based on his lack of customer service he said "That's fine with me! "
Following my conversation with the owner, my partner also called to follow up with the owner and the owner came up with yet another version of events and told him that they have a policy that states that they don't do refunds 6 hours after cancellation. When asked where this policy is stated and if we have access to the policy the owner said that he doesn't know, it's just a policy he has. We followed up and checked on their website and this policy is nowhere to be found.
I strongly recommend never staying at this motel or any other motel that this man owns. Someone who cares so little about their business and their patrons doesn't deserve to have your money. If you need to stay the night in the area go camping or stay literally anywhere else.

Stayed at this motel this past weekend and all I can say is wow this is such a cozy place and they make you feel like family from the time you arrive to the time you leave. The food they have for their breakfast was really good and the staff there are super friendly always greeting with a smile. The views of the scenery is breathtaking and beautiful, great location definitely. If you are ever in the area and need a place to relax and rest I highly recommend the Travels Inn Victoria County Motel, I will be returning in the near future thank you to the owners and staff for making sure my time was amazing!

Awful! I had to cancel when government said to stay off highways due to horrible thunderstorms and rainstorm and buddy would not refund me! HE TOOK MY MONEY! GREED! Never ever book here!

Overall, good place to sleep, it's near both Cape Britain and Louisburg, kind of in the middle. Road is rather close and sound from traffic should be expected but also close to big road which is good. There's a rather small breakfast that works I guess.

15 miles from anything.this was our only concern as we were here for 3 nights waiting for the ferry

STAY CLEAR!
My husband and I stayed here June 24th We woke up in the morning COVERED in bites. Confirmed now to be in fact, Bed bugs!
