Troy Restaurant & Grill

I ordered the scallop and shrimp kebab. Many times I have sent back scallops in other restaurants because they were overcooked and rubbery, but the cook at Troy grilled them to perfection. The chicken kebab was moist and delicious, as well as the rice. Our server was exemplary and very personable. We did have to keep our coats on while eating (and so did people at other tables) because there was cold air coming in every time the entrance door opened. The only added touch that would have elevated the atmosphere would be a candle or something of that sort on the table.

Food was quite good, especially the scallops and seafood. However, we were quite disappointed by the service. The place was only 1/3 full, yet staff stood around on their phones and no one brought us water or menus for 15 minutes. Then the server said "I did not see you" yet had walked by us at least three times. Would still recommend eating here, but the service could be a lot better.

Pretty atmosphere, food was decent once my proper order came. While there were only 4 full tables inside it took a very long time to place our orders - tables that filled up after we arrived were served before we were. My partner and I were both given the wrong beer and I was served the wrong wrap. All servers appeared overwhelmed and confused.

I ordered the burger with fries and side salad. The small side salad arrived first. It was different but okay. When the burger arrived, it looked line it has been cooked in the microwave. The meat was white and there were no grill lines on it. I told the server that I don't like the look it and that I won't eat it. She was very courteous and offered to change my order to something else. Another server came to tell me that the manager said that is nothing wrong with order and I will have pay for both orders. I told the second server that I don't like the look of the burger, but she insisted that it was nothing wrong with it and offered to cook it longer on the grill. I agreed to have it cooked longer. When the order was brought back by a third server now, the cheese on the burger was burned, the tomato was cooked and mushy, letuce cooked and tasting bitter and the meat had no taste. I couldn't eat it. The manager never came out to talk to me. I left hungry and paid $25 for a very small side salad and small fries.

We were a group of 18, service was good but for some reason it took a very long time to get our bills and pay.

Great service, and I've had multiple dreams about their lamb cutlets. The supervisor really made our experience special.

Had a really delicious meal at Troy! The mezze portions were great, and the cold and hot mezze were absolutely tasty! The mains were well seasoned and both the lamb and chicken were very fresh. Was well worth the drive from Halifax!

The outdoor patio is nice. Our group shared appetizers and all food options were tasty. They also have a great drink menu.

Fairly decent Greek restaurant near Acadia University. The Hummus was under flavoured (some acid and salt would fix it), but the fish and Kebab were well made. The service was very slow and forgetful.

Waited 20 minutes for our server to get our order but she didn’t even went to check on us. 3 groups arrived after us but was served first. Told another server but we were told she’ll tell our server as she is attending to the group that just arrived. Decided to leave because of very poor customer service. Very disappointed as we travelled all the way from Halifax.

Excellent place to eat in Wolfville. The wait staff was excellent. It was very bust when we went and we still didn't have to wait too long for our food.

Food and service were excellent, try the hummus. Outdoor patio was covered with a large tent, it was a nice touch for those of us who don't want to melt in the sun/rain.

They say that it’s more common to write a bad review with a poor experience than a good review for a positive one. Albeit true, in this case Troy restaurant was so far over the top with food quality that I couldn’t resist giving these folks a raving review. I often wish I could rate the customers instead of the restaurant. What irritates me (as an established chef) is how any restaurants in Wolfville could get a rating anywhere close to this place. First off, I had the greatest meal I have had in the province of Nova Scotia. Authentic Mediterranean cuisine…quality ingredients, cooked to absolute precision perfection, with decent atmosphere under the patio tent, and all at a reasonable price. The service was okay, and I would honestly be willing be served by a robot with this food. The lamb was to die for, and my wife’s chicken kebab was delicious also. Please ignore all the mediocre restaurants in Wolfville and go here. This is a reliable review from a foodie and chef. You cannot go wrong here.

P.s. To everyone who writes 5 star reviews for ehhh places. It’s not helping anybody. Including the restaurants. Call a 2 star a 2 and a 3 a 3. The Church brewing has great beer but stops there, and this famous chicken burger everyone talks about from Juniper is no better than KFC at best at twice the price. Not worth your time. Eat here!

Great restaurant for Mediterranean food. Their greek salad was amazing and the lamb was to crave for. Excellent service and nice outdoor covered patio.

It was lunchtime, so the cooking time was a little slow, but the waiting time was not a waste at all.

Very good food. You can eat inside or outside under a spacious tent (with heating).
We ordered 1 mixed mezze platter as a starter, which was enough for both of us. The moussaka and the vegetarian platter were also very tasty.

The food and service were great. But the only issue was that whenever you have a request, it really takes time to be considered. In general, was a great experience

Troy Restaurant and Grill is one of my most favorite places to dine in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. My personal favorites on the menu are the Falafel Burger and the mixed mezze platter. While the warmer weather is here, we enjoyed dining outside under the cover of a beautiful tree. There is lots of shade for dining and only very few hornets or flies, which was a bonus. The outside dining area is fairly large, so we had no problem getting a table immediately when there were wait times elsewhere. Our server was responsible and friendly and answered our questions about the menu, knowledgeably. The cuisine is full of flavor and lots of options to choose from. The menu features fresh ingredients locally sourced from farms, fisheries, and producers. The cocktail menu is filled with drinks from local wineries, breweries, and distilleries. It's a fantastic place for a date or gathering of friends!

Had the mixed grill dish with Cacik Mezze to start and it was all the best tasting thing I’ve eaten in awhile! Delicious! All of it. I was worried I’d be too late as the kitchen closes at 8 and we got there after 7, but they accommodated us on the patio,
which was lovely. Indoors was quite the atmosphere for supper as well. Would recommend.

Fantastic Mediterranean food and atmosphere. The feta bake was amazing and terrific cocktails. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Food was yummy but pricey for what is served. Only 1/2 a pita — 4 triangles — for the vegetarian platter? Service was okay … but the servers all looked like they hated being there. Not what it was hyped up to be.

Wickedly delicious! We came here after biking from Kentville and it was everything we needed - very cool atmosphere and incredible food. We got the cold mezze platter which was SO GOOD. Highly recommend

Very slow service, I'm hoping because the kitchen was a mess. Our server Annette seemed attentive. Took 30 minutes to get cold appetizers. Another 45 for our main course which included cold rice. How hard is it to keep rice warm while the skewers are grilling? Do better!

Fantastic Mediterranean restaurant in Wolfville. One of the best restaurants I’ve experienced in Nova Scotia. Food and service are excellent, and prices are extremely reasonable.
