Truro Home Hardware Building Centre

I have gone into this store numerous times looking for a specific item that they did not have. Tonight I went in to get a plain stainless steel sink. Lo and behold they had one after waiting 20 minutes walking around the store looking for someone to help us. While my husband was being waited on I done some browsing and found a wind spi ner I really liked. I looked at the price and it was 20.89 because it was a small one with no motor. I bought it. I got out in my car and looked at my receipt and they charged me 33.99. For it. I went back into to customer service told them about it and they went to look and they were priced wrong. NOT MY FAULT. I said they should give it to me for the price it was advertised as. Nope, they did offer me a staff discount but I refused and returned the spinner. Very poor customer service. If I had been paying for the sink myself, it too would have been returned for refund. My husband is nicer than I am. I find this NEW store a very poor place to shop. Not likely I will go back!

They moved to a massive new store but they don't really seem to have more. Just wider isles.
I find it crazy that Everytime I go here, they don't have what I need. So 9/10x I don't bother going to any HH.
I've gone for storage bins, none. How do they not have any storage bins?
I go for plumbing, they only have half of what I need, so I end up at Kent anyways. But oddly Kent won't sell short lengths of PVC. So I'll give this place credit that I can buy 6ft of PVC, but I end up elsewhere for the connections and bends.
Sadly, all we have is Kent and HH and both are inferior to a Home Depot, which is an hour away.

Edit: Apparently they now have a storage bin section. But the point is, HH in general doesn't typically have what you need

Not pleased. Placed a order in october, not ghosted & they canceled my order without contacting me. Stay away go to Canadian Tire. Wasted my time personally & for my project

Giant compared to any other Home Hardware has everything pretty helpful staff but it is a little more than Home Depot but local

The employees don't seem very knowledgeable about anything however their customer service is good!

There's no where else to shop for building supply and home improvement products and appliances, very helpful, friendly staff, top shelf customer service and a very modern drivethrough lumber yard under a roof!

Excellent. It was my first time in this one but have had good experience in other Home Hardware stores, so I went with great confidence. It was not unwarranted.
I was on a designated mission, one outside my area of expertise, and I received excellent, thorough, and friendly help.
Mission accomplished!

I was so impressed with the helpful friendly staff at this new store! I was in town to install a new AC unit for my elderly mother when I realised we didn't have all the tools we needed and the unit didn't quite fit the window. It was Sunday and close to closing time. I just needed 2 very small pieces of wood which they helped me find in a scrap bin then kindly cut to size. Then I needed a drill to drill some holes and again another friendly staff walked me over to the discount part of the store and found me a discontinued drill/impact set that worked great! Keeping that for myself!
Was in and out in just a few minutes. Thanks to you now my Mom will be more comfortable in her little apartment! A+

Kyle in the Bath and flooring section was absolutely great. He answered all of my questions and even had a few suggestions on things that I didn't even know how to do. His product knowledge was above and beyond.

It's difficult in a small town to stock everything, but every time I go to Home Hardware, I need to go elsewhere for what I need. I needed a key for my snowblower, and they had none. Staff directed me to a number of equipment dealers, but I istead went across the street to Canadian Tire, who had 3 on the shelf.
