Turkish Delight

This was a lovely restaurant. The food was delicious, although we didn't get the appetizer that we had ordered, which was probably a good thing because we didn't need it. The amount of food was more than enough. The atmosphere was nice, interesting decor, relaxed setting, easy to chat with friends because it's not too loud. The bathroom could use some work!

Turkish Delight is a gem in downtown Halifax. Highly recommend! The food was so delicious! Every bite was enjoyable! The soup is an absolute must have!

Excellent service plus delicious food. We tried the lamb and the chicken kebab. Must be one of the best places in Halifax for Halal food.

This is one of the best Turkish restaurants in town, you can't go wrong with the taste, everything is delicious.but the wodden seats makes customers don't want to stay long. Me and my friends left immediately after we finished cuz we were not comfortable. If the owners reading this review please consider adding mats or cushion on the seats or change them to comfortable ones.

Upon entering I was not sure. But it's a great restaurant. The food is delicious! Definitely worth the price to eat there. You would not be disappointed!

Had meal here with my wife earlier this week. Service was friendly and helpful. Had a starter with a yoghurt dip. Very much enjoyed fried chicken breast, salad, rice, and a cool beer. Was pleasantly surprised with the tastiness and quality. Left my baseball hat behind and collected it the next day: staff had held it behind the counter for safekeeping. Worth a visit for what was indeed a Turkish delight.

I absolutely LOVE Turkish delight, clean place, staff were very sweet and the food the flavours are delicious. Certainly on my top 5 List! Cheers

Great food and portions. I had the Hummus to start and the Lamb Kufta as my main. Both dishes were fresh and tasty. The lamb was juicy and succulent. I would highly recommend Turkish Delight.

Nice collection of combos for reasonable price. Chicken and lamb are good! Would be great if the large quantity of Caesar salad is replaced with any other items.

Until 8: 03pm, there’s no water no food
I decided to wait until 8: 10pm, and still there is no dishes.
I left? For one hour?
Very disappointed️

I enjoyed Turkish Delight.
The food was good, the waitress was friendly and informative. Prices were a bit steep but I would return.

Preordered 2 hours early for food for it to be ready at 8pm and got a confirmation. When I arrived at 8pm I had to wait till 9pm for food to be served that I preordered. All this and I was fasting. The servers were rude kept giving us stares and threw the utensils on the table rudely. Worst experience ever. After we got the food the usual kebab meal we order was missing. It only had chicken and two keftahz, no meat at all. The rice portion was low.

Visited multiple times. Food is delicious and comes in big portions, excellent service and very welcoming environment. I will be sure to come back

Very good food! Really good for a quick lunch or a formal meal. Good amount of vegetarian options, and the turkish coffee was delicious. A bit overpriced but so is everywhere along spring garden for the most part. It wasn’t too busy when we went either, cute atmosphere. The bathroom could’ve been a bit cleaner but nothing horrid. And the waitress pretty much ignored us after we had placed our orders, but not a huge deal, just made it feel more relaxed and I drank from my water bottle lol. Would come back! But for the price I think portions/staff/pricing/speed of service could all slightly improve. Everything tasted wonderful though!

Love Love this place. I used to order from this place in the past year or so. Always fresh and tasty food. Finally went in 2 weeks ago with a couple friends. We had a great dinning experience. Food was delicious and the owner came over to talk to us and she was so darn sweet. Can't wait to go back.

I had the Kabab platter and it was absolutely incredible! The amount of food I got was more than adequate, and the taste and flavours are incredible! Loved the service as well. I would definitely recommend people to try out this place!

Great food and bread service. The entrees are about 20 dollars or so, you get a lot of food for your buck and it tastes great. Went in originally with intention to try their Turkish style rice pudding dessert but was too full.

The best lamb ribs in town! Truly seasoned and slow-cooked to perfection! Comes with seasoned rice and fresh salad. This special is only available on Saturdays. Great customer service. I've eaten this dish so many times, thank you for cooking it!

This place is a must to go to. The food is amazing. Many healthy options for vegetarians and vegans. Menu is good and a few great items in the 7$ range that are home spun. Mostly take out right now I recommend it highly.

After lockdown third wave.this place is a must go for a first date or family get together. Food is good although the menu could use a few more choices in the 9 to 11 dollar range. Humble selection of wines but Merlot was very good. You do get quality and it's pretty good for Halifax. Service is awesome and very accommodating. #Strokes

Really fresh and delicious authentic food. Thanks for the chef.however, I find it a little expensive I do not know if halifax is that expensive in general. The cashier was a little mean.

Loved the ambience and the food. The portion was also really good, loved the taste and texture of food. Slightly disappointed in service though.

This was my first time back to this restaurant in years and I wish I had never gone back. Service was extremely slow. Food came out cold and everything tasted bland. The only thing that was good was the rice. I ordered a chicken kebab platter for 18 plus tax and I got two scrawny skewers of meat. My salad was all lettuce. Really disappointed in the food. 30 dollars down the drain. And on top of that the three of us had bad stomach cramps after our meal. I’m guessing the food was not fresh.

First time ive eaten at this rest.since its been sold. The food was cold/ warm even though they made us wait over 30 min for Just the APPs! We ordered lamb and chicken, of course both warm.as we were eating we noticed something was off, it wasn't good, and i tasted rot, but since we couldn't see it we kept eating. Good thing i didn't give my nephew too much because we all had the runs and terrible cramps very shortly after.all night and up till the next morning.i'm disgusted and mad i wasted money and tipped for this terrible food and service. Terrible experience, terrible food. How can you sell rotten food.this place deserves to be shut down.maybe chef Ramzy needs to come in take a look at your fridge.i imagine all your meat is rotten and you just serve it anyway.

It was cold, not the food, the ambient temperature. I asked politely the waitress to raise the temperature a bit (we had our 4 year old with us) and she said that was the maximum heat they had in the winter. They did have a heat pump that wasn't turned on though. We did not take off our jackets throughout the meal and so did other customers. It was a real shame considering what we paid at the end. Anyhow, the food was good. I do not plan to return there as they totally luck responsibility toward the service they are supposed to offer.

Got a seat by the window and it made for a rather lovely date spot. Fantastic food, very friendly staff.

Great food, great service, cozy interior, very friendly staff. Would recommend a nice family dinner there, enough options, Turkish and otherwise, to appease everyone.

I have tasted 3 different dishes here all have been delicious. But when i ask them for certain things not to be in my food its still their and if i want them to add something they sometimes dont add it. Its not a big problem because im not allergic but for some people the situation may be different.

Used to be our favourite but service is now slow and almost rude (maybe because we were not Caucasian customers). Flies inside the restaurant were the last straw - especially when you have a family with small children. Won’t be going again.

Food was fantastic but service was just okay. Brought bill and put tip on the bill without telling us until after we paid and left tip so we tipped twice. Should mention they add gratuity on bill when 6 people go to eat.

The place is quick, uncomplicated, offers great food and big portions. I have been there dozens of times, either for a quick work lunch or stroll around Spring Garden in the weekend. It has never disappointed.

Went there when it was first opened almost 8 to 10 years ago, food was great back then. Always wanted to go back and I finally made it back. Different decor now and it is lovely. Food is as great as I had before. Delicious.

The best Turkish Restaurant outside of Turkey, let alone in the whole Canada. The first time we ordered Beyti kebab and lamb köfte. Both were very fresh and juicy. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere that we went back the day after and ordered Iskender. The meat was extremely fresh and delicious. The portion of the food was also large. We then ordered baklava with a Turkish coffee. The baklava was fresh from the oven and wonderful. The coffee was truely a TURKISH COFFEE. I couldn't enjoy more from the meal I had. The local turkish music playing at the background, very friendly staff and very reasonable prices were adding an extra level to my satisfaction. I highly recommend and will definitely go back each time I'm in Halifax.

One of the best Turkish restaurants I have visited in a very long time. Great spot downtown, great atmosphere, amazing food and excellent service.

Not too fancy but if you want to sit down with middle eastern food comforts this spot has you covered

Food was okay. However please read the bill carefully before you pay. Our office went to the restaurant for a celebration. Each of our bills was added with a ~15% service charge because our group number exceeded 8. The waitress did NOT inform me that the billed amount was added with tips already. You can guess, I paied 15% +15% on a bill of 4 people (not for the whole group, only some of us). The other colleagues's bills after the tips were added were different enen though they basically ordered almost the same item. Their billing system is very SNEAKY. BE AWARE.

Food is good and delicious. If u r familiar with Dolma (warag eenab) this will be just fine! But if u haven’t tried it before u will like it! Lamb kofta was so good! It comes with rice and salad! Airan (laban) is my favorite drink so I would recommend it! Clean place with traditional music and design. Friendly staff. Quite expensive! But worth it!

Maybe a bit biased because I love Turkish food but this place is my go-to for Iskander in Halifax. So yummy.

Living in Istanbul for many years I can tell you this place is authentic as it gets! Amazing food, great service and clean. The atmosphere is authentic with portraits and music. Great for lunch or dinner. A must eat establishment when in Halifax. Oh and the portions are huge and extremely well priced. Well worth every dollar! 5 stars thumbs up

Terrible service. You can taste the charcoal in the air, because their exhaust fan can't possibly be strong enough. Waited over 20 minutes and left without receiving our food while people who came in later than us were served. Terrible experience. I will not go back.

It is not even comparable to the turkish restaurant around the corner, staff is ALOT more friendly and the menu is a lot better in terms of their layout.

The food was just great. It was grilled on wooden coal and tasted amazing! I would recommend to try their sweets and the original turkish coffee!

Great place to eat in downtown Halifax. Loved the chicken kebab plate in particular. Also, the hummus is great. The location is nice, and the service is good. You can’t really ask for more in a restaurant! Definitely try this place if you can.

Food was ok, however the service was terrible. I never met a nastier server in my life. She was rude to all the customers, until it came time to pay then was nice hoping to get a tip. Won't go back, food is ok but pricey.

One place I would never miss to visit in Halifax. Even though I visited this place after three years there wasn’t much difference in the overall appearance of the shop. The taste of the food was above average. I am quite sure that the price got increased a bit recently. But when it comes to the food there is actually no other options in Halifax which can replace Turkish Delight. Make sure you eat your portion in the shop itself. I would never recommend a takeout.

I only put a second star because my food was good but my husband's wasn't really as my chicken kofta. He took this lamb chop with rice and salad, and rice was rubbery and not that tasty, the inside of the lamb chop is completely red I told the worker about this and they had to apologize. They also charge fries, but that's not a problem for me.

Food is always fresh, reasonably healthy, and delicious, convenient downtown location if youre not driving (parking is tricky). Unpretentious very informal atmosphere. Locals like it. Wait staff have not been my favourite.

It used to be 4 star but now seems they have degraded their food quality. The taste is still there but quantity is not what it used to be. Its a running restaurant as its located in downtown. I would suggest their Lamb Shank.the staff is always welcoming there.

The food is good but they have raised their prices like crazy on Uber eats! They charge 2.99 delivery and added another 2.99 to all their foods on Uber.very disappointing for people who like their food

We visited this place without a reservation during a busy night, the food however came as expected and we were not disappointed, parking was a problem downtown although on a Saturday night.

Never disappointed with this restaurant in the city everytime I visit I urge myself to try different meals but end up getting my favourite one every single time, the chicken kofta kabab.

Found hair in the food, very slow service waited 5 minutes before getting water, ketchup to find out that the waiter forgot and that's another 5 minutes. The restaurant used to be good in the past but right now I don't recommend it at all.

After my birthday dinner at Turkish delight, the waitresses helped me with the cake and even sang happy birthday for me. Lovely workers!

The food is absolutely beautiful and delicious, one of the few places were the food has improved over the years downtown. Very clean and friendly and the atmosphere is great, the only thing I'd fix is the Italian and English music, just play Turkish music.

If you eat here I will recommend the mix kebab, it gives you a taste of everything on the menu such as the lamb and chicken pieces
