Value Village

This stores quality has gone down drastically within the last year. It’s poorly stocked, disorganized, there’s no staff and the prices are completely crazy. It’s so bad that I went from shopping there weekly to just walking out nearly every time I visit now. $17 for a used basic men’s shirt is laughable.

Excellent shop for those who want to save money, buying used items. There's a great choice of clothes and shoes, kitchen utensils and various tools are also present.

You always find nice stuff at pleasant prices. I just wish they would wash the clothes before put them on display.

Awesome place with lots of great finds! Super clean and staff are friendly. Sometimes the check out process is a little slow as they only ever seem to have one cash open

I was looking for some clothing for some young boys and I was able to get a pair of nice pants for each of them. Just like new. A few months ago, I came in to look for a winter jacket for my son and we got a really nice one for about $20. They keep this place neat and tidy, and organized.

There is no longer a changing room. They instead emphasize their "return policy". It seems like a tactic to increase sales, at a huge inconvenience to the customer.

Not well organized at all, and a very limited range of items. They should dump the furniture section and just carry clothing.

Slow lineups at countets and some really ridiculously overpriced items. However, I have found some good teaching supplies here.

5 stars for wide selection of items, 2-3 stars for prices. Often VV prices rival sale/clearance prices at retail stores. While VV may never have been 'not-for-profit', prices are ever more expensive, and sales/offers are fewer/farther between. Had a somewhat negative experience recently with a manager who was asked to consider a price review for a damaged item not marked 'as is' (the reply was a flat 'no'). (This experience was in Ottawa, not Bedford). Not my first choice for thrifting due to prices, but staff and selection are generally great.

Value village is over priced for the main thing. But if you know what the prices are of things before you go, you can get some good deals. Also, they really have no idea about rare items or collectables. Their reward system sucks, I like the New Minas store the best

Too expensive for real Thrifting. Owned by Walgreens, so I don't donate to them. Always my last choice for thrift, because we have many other better and more ethical thrift stores here (ie: Mission & Guy's are great!)

Very helpful staff but prices are more then expected. When asking for a discount on a Mac that doesn't turn on. Start button damaged, no software installed, and it is an older model. They priced it down from 200 to 150. Let alone I was told they will be "recylcing it". It amazes me how they can charge these prices even after getting the items donated to them. Won't be visiting this value village again. Worst one I've ever gone to. Would not recommend going here.

Selling items for more than they are worth. Pitiful for a second hand store. Dollarama vases being sold for more than dollarama sells them for.

Selection in this location has almost always been sub par. This is not totally in the locations control, but its surprising how I almost never walk out with anything. This is on top of the egregious price hunting there is little room to find actual Value in this Village. At this point, VV is just a pawnshop that gets its good for free.dissappointing.

For the store size they have the men's section is severely lacking, reduced to only two racks maybe three I was going to find clothing I could destroy for work and still left empty handed

Well organized, clean store with restrooms and friendly staff with efficient cash registers. Lot of collection to check out that keeps refilling almost everyday. Good deals with offers for members to collect points that can be transferred to pay. Worth to spend time and save money.

I don't know. It used to be fun when value village was value village, but now it's effing Harrods or something, where a 22 year old PS2 controller is 14.99.just like when it was brand new 22 years ago, but is now covered in 22 years of Cheeto dust and skin. And why is this copy of final fantasy 13 19.99? It's beat the f up. But anyway, sometimes you can still find fun stuff for cheap. Sometimes.

The last time I attended an awards show, I got my complete suite here for $60 and received many compliments on it.

Back in the summer I was able to find the things I needed (and more), and the cashier was amazing, I could have spent all day talking to her.

However, today when I went to donate some items, the person working the donations was rude, rolled her eyes at me many time, told me "lets get this over with", and when she asked me if the bin I used to transport my donations was going to be donated as well and I said no (it's my laundry basket), she rolled her eyes at me again while huffing and puffing, and told me "just dump it all in then", after I asked her if she wanted me to put them in one by one, neatly. I get it, it's a cold day and you're outside dealing with other people's things, and you're frustrated, but just smile or something. I tried to make conversation, asking how her day was, and then saying the week is almost over so that's something to look forward to, and I was met with rudeness and ignorance. If you're upset about something I did, complain when you go back inside, you still work customer service. Not trying to sound like a Karen here, but honestly.

Your prices are getting outrageous and the shoe and boot section should be sprayed the smell of mold and mildew is wicked

Busy today. No mark-down on Christmas items. They have lots of stock. I managed to pick up a few clothing items.

I always am disappointed as a thrift shopper when things are so over priced and close to retail prices
But I found a few great finds at decent prices this trip.

Selection was very poor and disappointing. I unfortunately found almost nothing I wanted and the whole store felt very dirty. My hands feel gross after touching a few things and the floor was broke in a few places which almost caused me to trip. At least everything was very organized and it was quick and easy to see they had nothing I wanted.
