I've had an easier time getting through airport security than using the self checkouts here. Employees constantly watch over your shoulder and go through your bags, an incredibly unpleasant and unprofessional experience.

Bought a triple A roast and it was full of gristle. $22 of inedible meat. Potato bag was opened when I got it home and two potatoes I took out of the bag which cost 7.99 were absolutely rotten. Good job selling that to the hapless public.

I had one of the most embarrasing but still the best interaction at the Bedford Commons Walmart.

Ofcourse I go on the rainiest day to pick up my grocery order and had the nicest guy named Anthony helping me out.

Poor guy was absolutely drenched but still had the best attitude and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He didnt even laugh when I hit my head on the trunk lid and made sure I was okay.

Rain - 1
Me - 0
Anthony - 10/10

I had to wait for almost 3 hours for groceries in the pick up parking because your checking app is not working well. Wow. Shame on your management

Torally COVID friendly. I'm seeing more masks being worn instore and the place is clean and organized. Everything is well planned out with respect to directional arrows and flow of traffic in and around the store. The checkouts are being cleaned after each trabscation and I notoced they are even wiping down the sneeze guards (barriers) they have up. I can appreciate the efforts their staff are putting in to ensure our safety while we shop. I would definitely recommend coming here as they are still controlling numbers entering the store at any given time. The store hasn't been keeping the pork family pack of sausages or boneless skinless chicken breast in stock as often as before, but if you shop early enough during the day, you will ikely get what you need in the deli/meat section.

Pretty sad that's it's 5: 30 on a Monday evening and they only have two cash's open and a secondary line up for people waiting. On top of it, no signs to let anyone know of this secondary line up. A million dollar company and can not produce signs. Poor management if ya ask myself.

They really have gone above and beyond with the C-19 precautions. Staff members are helpful and polite, this is a very stressful time for them, and they're wonderful.

Social distancing very very challenging. People stopping to chat in middle of main aisles and some aisle not marked with arrows. People going in as couples splitting up into reverse arrows and forcing me behind to back into other aisles (I had to back into the same aisle 3 times) and again at check out when customer forget to get an item and came right at me to go back to produce to add item. I had to go 4 aisles away to get around staff unloading boxes. I determined to just leave without getting all items. It will be a while to return.dont need the added stress

Very poor interview experience at this location. The Hiring Managers were unethical & unprofessional. Don’t go for interview at this location. If you want to work for Walmart, better go to other location.

So I had applied for “Customer Experience Salesfloor Dept Manager” position with this store in the last week of March just few hours after it was posted on Walmart’s website. Very next morning I got an email stating I have an interview. I chose the 1st slot for Apr 9 at 9: 00 am. I got a confirmation stating I have an interview with “Roxan”. I prepared for several hours for 3 days for this as I was very interested in the role. I even got a reminder email on Apr 8 about the interview with Roxan for 9th.

So on 9th April, I was half an hour early dressed in formals. Whereas other candidates were in casuals, some even wearing jeans. When I went inside, it was some guy named “Ray” (guess that was his name) & not Roxan with whom I was scheduled as per the emails from Walmart. When the interview began, he started off by saying that the position was filled. I was shocked as I had got a reminder about interview a day before itself. First of all, it was NOT Roxan as per email confirmation. Secondly, I got a reminder. Thirdly I did not get any notification in advance about this BS. My precious time was wasted by these unprofessionals, unethical people working for supposedly #1 Fortune 500 Company. On top of that I was told to go home & apply for Part-Time Seasonal Associate position. I eventually realized that that Seasonal position was not even a day shift. Finally when one other person whom I know, inquired about the same role, she was told that it was filled in the morning. I am surprised as I was there in the early morning for the interview. Did they just hire someone internally & then had to fake the interviews for the Corporate office?

These type of people are taking advantage of people without jobs in these tough times. They should be ashamed of themselves

Place was dirty, staff was sparse and the shelves weren't stocked. However; whoever was cleaning the washrooms did a wonderful job.
25 April 2020 2:32
Shelves are nice and filled. Which is rare in a walmart these days. Pretty tidy and friendly staff. Best walmart in HRM hands down.
16 April 2020 13:45
At the self check out the machine asks how did we do today. You didn't do anything for me other than have the products on the shelf. I did my own check out.

I always liked Walmart and lately I've been doing more and more of my grocery shopping there because let's face it some of their prices are way better
31 March 2020 4:22
Not easy to find the products as they don't have the same standard setup as other Walmart stores, they dont have variety of international food as other stores do
24 March 2020 15:27
Average prices, kinda a one stop shop. Food, automotive, clothing and electronics. Easy to access. Good handicap accessibly.
24 February 2020 1:38
The store is clean and the staff are friendly the only problem is there’s not enough cashiers and you have to wait in line forever
25 November 2019 20:36
I was visiting from another province and wanting to return an item and was turned down because their store didn't sell the specific product, although I had my intact product and valid receipt. Not a nice experience.
05 October 2019 21:40
Huge but lacks same selection of international items as the Mumford/Bayer's lake location, international produce also not really there
28 September 2019 17:38
My go to place for anything and everything. Amazing greeting staff. Not so interested or friendly cashiers especially the older ones so avoid them on your visit. And if anything happens in the parking lot their cameras are never facing the way you need them too
20 September 2019 14:07
One of the biggest Walmart's I have been to while in Canada. The store was pretty clean and the employees were pretty nice.
16 September 2019 14:25
I never liked Walmart to begins with and now that they have self serve scanners, it gives me reason to hate it even more!
They only open two lanes with cashier's, trying to force customers to not want to wait and go to a self serve.
I stood in line, with one item, for 20 minutes and I would do it again!
05 September 2019 13:33
Poor lady at the front entrance said hi to everyone and didnt get one back, what a travesty, walmart is a funny place but the shelfs were all fully stocked and there was no mess so 4 stars, just for god sakes give the lady a break
28 August 2019 2:38
I had a bad experience with rude staff last night, honestly I'd rather shop elsewhere. Changed my mind on an item and the cashier paged someone for pickup. The girl who came looked at him and said "well if they didn't want it, why did they take it? " I believe she thought it was from a customer who had left already, but it was me. I didn't realize we were unable to change our mind. No apology given.

Really do not like going through self checkouts. Never seem to work without needing assistance. Also don't like the fact that you are taking jobs away from deserving people. You asked.
25 August 2019 1:21
Stopped in quickly the other night around 9 to grab a few things because everything else was closed. Friendly staff, and lots of them. That’s why I’m so displeased with the way the stores up keep was. I work in retail too so I understand how hectic things get but this was bad. Book bags thrown all down the halls. Frozen vegetables and ice cream out on the shelves for clearly hours. The sale shelves were hard to understand because people had put random items on them. It was just a mess. Nobody should have to smell rotting vegetables while looking for clothes.

Always fun to see what Walmart has to offer. Summer clothing is on sale now and some pretty good deals to find. I do hate using the self checkout. I don't work for them and I have to check myself out and pay for the plastic bags I need. Food prices are pretty good but you still have to know your prices.

Went to go into the garden center last night at 5: 20pm and the sign says the garden center closes at 6: 00pm.the garden center was closed when I got there and when I asked the cashier at the checkouts why it wasnt opened I was told they must not have any staff to work the area. How is there no staff! They have 2 self checkout areas so they have decreased the amount of cashiers so why are the not training them to work other departments?

I have attempted to use the photo centre to print photos at the kiosk multiple times. Every time I go there is a problem. Today the problem was an issue with accessing photos on an iPhone. One of the clerks said it’s an issue they’ve been having (no notice anywhere warning customers). So you go through the entire process of selecting your photos, sizes, editing, etc.then find out when you try to checkout that the photos you selected can’t be accessed and were removed. I was told to use the photocentre.ca method and they would print right away. When I tried to select the “one hour” service it did not exist. The only option is “next day”. Before I went through with the upload I checked with a clerk who said “it’ll still come right away”. I clarified because I had already wasted 35 minutes and needed to have them printed today. I completed the order and paid. When I went to get them at the desk I was told by a different person that they wouldn’t be ready for “a couple of days”. In order to get a refund and cancel the order so I could go somewhere else I was told I needed to go to Customer Service. Every single person I spoke to told me something different about how to get the photos printed quickly.
There is clearly an issue with the kiosks that is not being communicated to customers and the clerks don’t know the same/right information. SO frustrating.

No express lanes anymore, I only had 8 items, had to wait in long line up. Refuse to go to self serve. Give people jobs, not machines.
