Excellent cozy place, excellent service and pretty fast. I tried the coconut tart pie, so good.

Lovely Waitress, very nice.
I ordered 1 piece breaded and clams with rice. First we waited a while, my thoughts great food is worth waiting for.
Than I got a piece of fish that tasted old with fries mot rice. I pointed that out said just bring my pilaf in a bowl. I waited and waited, mistake my fish got cold, asked again she claimed cook was busy. Ok I cooked my whole life. I waited and waited it finally came out too hot to sample, microwaved to death.
Alas the coleslaw was the best part of my meal.

Nothing fancy.
BUT
The food is good and you get plenty. The prices are reasonable. The place is clean and the staff is top notch.
What more can one ask for?

My mom and I ate here from out of province. Just visiting. Food is delicious. I am typically myself I’m not a seafood person but the way that they do it made me enjoy it! I had to recommend coming here for a dinner, they make their dishes to with care and FLAVOUR!

ABSOLUTE DISSAPONTMENT
Went here yesterday with my co workers and we will not be going back ever. To start out I ordered Calamari and a chicken burger. I asked if the Calamari was fresh or frozen and the server stumbled her words saying she wasn't sure but it's probably frozen (I wanted fresh but got it anyway) Bad idea. The Calamari was rubber and bland I had to chew it so long my jaw hurt, the chicken burger was kind of alright but VERY crispy and over fried. On top of all this we were told the wait would be 25 minutes but then the other server hollerd over and said no way it will be 45 minutes they weren't very coordinated
Not recommend.

Waited over an hour for food. I ordered fried clam plate and they were very chewy. The fries were greasy. My husband liked his chowder but our friends also didn't enjoy their choice. We didn't have the heart to say anything to the wait staff. Expensive for the portion size and quality. I wouldn't recommend going. We did tip our waitress however the overall experience wasn't worth it

This is a place very dear to my heart. The staff are sweethearts. The food and portions are great and many of these recipes have been consistent for decades! If you want good quality seafood and other hearty dishes, this is a place you must go! Don't ignore the deserts here too! The lemon meringue pie and coconut cream pie have been a local favorite for almost 30 years!

Great food and friendly servers. It is in a strip mall but still very nice inside. Easy parking.

Horrible food. Far too expensive for bland food. The lobster linguini had rubbery ends and the linguini was very sticky. The scallops were small and overcooked. We were confused how it got 4.5 stars when it was so bad.

Had lunch large ceasar salad & my friend had a single breaded fish & chips. They were busy but food was good & food was excellent! I was just back in, I had the Chicken Cheese Bake it was great. Picture attached.

The best seafood chowder and fish and chips I've ever had IN MY LIFE! The seafood in the chowder was so fresh and flavourful. The fish in the fish and chips had great mouthfeel to it and was very hearty. The chips were very tasty, had a unique homemade cut to them, and paired perfectly with the fish. The server was very friendly as well!

I have never had a problem with Waves service until a couple of weeks ago. From the minute we were seated there was a problem. We waited for our waitress to take our order but she waited on everyone but us. She came back to tell us she is allergic to smells and wouldn’t be waiting on us. She sent another waitress to our table eventually to take our order. Back the new waitress comes asking if we would mind moving to the other side of the restaurant so the waitress with the a? ? Allergy to smells could breathe without problems. Very embarrassing situation and it was not handled correctly. Will never eat there again.

Highly recommend! We stopped in on our way through as we wanted a quick lunch on our way back home and we are glad we did. Fish was cooked perfectly, batter was excellent. Club was great, bacon crispy just the way I like it. $56 for two meals, side dips and 2 milk shakes. If we lived here it would definitely be our go-to spot!

Waves was my favorite place for battered fish and chips until the other day. My son and I had a 1 pc fish and chips each. While his piece was beautiful, white and fresh, my piece was grey and had a fishy smell. Very obviously previously frozen. When I mentioned to the waitress how disappointed I was with being served frozen fish she said, not frozen, maybe from the day before. Having worked in the restaurant industry, I know what frozen fish looks like. Needless to say, since she denied the obvious, it will be my last visit to Waves.
