Great old school diner which feels like a time warp to the last, but in a good way. Great and friendly service. My daughter has wanted to go here for awhile because it always smelled so good when we walked by. She loved the service, milkshake, fries and grilled cheese

Great little Mom & Pop diner. Been around for years, very busy at lunchtime, limited seating, but food is good and milkshakes are awesome. Prices very low, one of the reasons they're so busy!

I have been coming here since 2019, and I have absolutely no complaints. Walking into the restaurant, you are almost instantly greeted by the husband and wife that own the place. Some of the kindest people that you will meet here in the city. The food is consistently good no matter what you order, and the price is always more than fair. Stop by on your lunch break for a quick bite to eat, or bring the kids for a nice diner style dinner. Either way you'll leave with a belly full of home cooked food and a smile on your face.

Open Tuesday to Friday from 11 am to 6 pm. I could go on about how great the food, value, and old school diner atmosphere is but I wouldn't do it justice. Just go, you won't be disappointed. Get the cheeseburger with onion rings and a milkshake to initiate yourself. Best club in the city and the fish and chips are great.

A husband and wife team that work very well together. There's a bar with little round seats as well as bench seats or seats that you can slip into. They have a menu if you want to look at it, but you just write what you want on a piece of paper and put it on the bar area or give it to them. They usually have 3 specials a day. The are super nice and since we go frequently they are always wondering what's going on. I usually get the Poutine and let me tell you it's a giant plate! You definitely get what you want for cheap $, but it's not cheap food that doesn't taste good!

Great little dinner. I had the fish and chips. Batter on the fish was nice and crispy and fish was flaky. The fries were crispy and fluffy. Gravy was a nice add on too. The price was excellent at $8 for a 2 piece. I'm going back soon to try the bacon cheeseburger and fries.

My first impression of here, was old school. The place you dream of going to. Husband and Wife operating the business, giving it the mom and pop shop vibe, you know you're going to get the best food of your life. Prices were not what I expected and I believe it's because they don't have staff to pay, which makes your jaw drop when you see the generous plate for such a low price compared to other places. You grab a menu and write down your own order which helps them continue cooking orders to perfection. They praise everyone for the business and company, showing they genuinely care for the people. I can't wait for my next visit to try other things on the menu!

Absolutely fantastic experience. The food was simple, delicious, and inexpensive. It was like stepping into the 70’s.

The owners had spectacular banter and were clearly a well oiled machine. The chicken club and the chicken fingers were QUALITY, and you better get yourself a milkshake cause they were amazing.

If you don’t know the deal you get a menu and write your own order on a slip of paper and bring it to them and bus your own table at the end of the meal. It was a really lovely experience and a Halifax MUST.

It was like walking back in time, not just because he decor has likely not been updated and felt authentic, but because the service was something you wish you would see at other restaurants today. The food was phenomenal, and Tyler was an incredible host.

Amazing burgers and service. Only thing they gotta do to get 5 stars and stop using wonder bread buns! Other then that really good visit here!

My Husband and I have been going to the Westcliff for 10 years. I recommend the best bacon cheese burger you will eat and the cherry on top is the price. Best deal in town. Bev and Tyler are the best. They make your meal an experience.

This place is amazing. Great burgers, great fish and chips and great milk shakes. The pricing is very special and it is a fun experience. It has a very unique feel. Unlike any other restaurant experience. It does have a slight learning curve involved. Like putting in your own order at the counter. Try it. You will like it.

An old-fashioned diner with old-fashioned ways such as, you write down your own order yourself, on a piece of scratch paper with a pencil handed to you. Great homemade burgers that will fill you up. Friendly banter from the husband and wife team (seniors) who own the place. A favourite among locals.

Literally a time machine into the 70s, this spot is a great place to grab a quick bite that's also homemade and served by two of the loveliest owner/operators you'll ever meet. Basic food stuffs (burgers, fries, chicken fingers, etc.) with the occasional dinner special served all day, and completely reasonable prices! They take definitely take debit, though I'm not sure about credit cards. Limited hours make it a bit harder to visit during the day, but it's worth it!

This is one of those rare family run restaurants. Friendly people running it and unbeatable prices. I had a hamburger and fries for 5.75 taxes in. Milk shake is only 2.50. The couple that run it are Tyler and Bev, tell them Scott sent you.

My family loves this place. We bring pretty much any visitors we have to Westcliff's. The owners are hilarious and very kind!

I made my first visit during an off time between lunch and dinner so it was kind of slow which was nice. It's a very relaxed place run strictly by a mom and a pop. The diner has a welcoming worn-in patina with character.

Great fried comfort food at a comfortable price. I had the cheeseburger with the works and onion rings. The burger was fried to perfection with a toasted bun, the onion rings were hot crisp and fresh. It was a comfortable place to grab a bite and I look forward to returning.

Staff are friendly. There's a warm atmosphere. The food is good and the serving size is generous. It's reasonably priced. The washroom is on the same level and it's clean. The location is easily accessible by bus and there's street parking on Bayer's road.
