Overall opinion: Very good coffee, cozy atmosphere, and quick service. Wi-Fi was spotty, and I could not connect.

Fantastic breakfast sandwich (California bagel sandwich), great americano, friendly service, cute shop. Perfect score, no notes.

The food i dont like so its bad it, but i like a atmosphere (nitrojen oxygen cabron dieoxid)

Really nice iced coffees. They have great flavours, I got a chocolate one and it picked me up and was very tasty. Nice indoor ambiance too. They had a little sign board with Halifax recommendations too which I appreciated!

Nice little coffee shop. They make a good iced americano but their lattes seem inconsistent. They have a few good options for baked goods, and their staff is always smiley.

The coffee and baked items were superb. The staff was friendly and inviting. We will definitely be back.

Cute cafe but you folks should really improve the WiFi! I’ve tried working from here twice recently. It’s currently showing only 5 Mbps down. I was also randomly disconnected last time I was here. Replace the router, change the password, and if it’s still slow get it upgraded or switch providers. Maybe you don’t want people working here, which I would understand, but I suspect that’s not the reason.

I really enjoyed the mango smoothie and the breakfast wrap was 10/10. I wish they had more breakfast options like that, everything else is served on a bagel. Side note: I wish the front door was easier to open when you have your hands full with food and drinks

Nice spot on the corner my wife and I found in passing. Careful, as looking from the outside across the street it may look closed however as you approach it’s open! Both Cappuccino and hot chocolate were very good with a side muffin for each of us. Service was 5 star as they were delightful to interact with and polite as we closed our transaction.

Best new coffee I've tried in a long time! Look forward to another cup next time we visit.

If you’re British and Desperately seeking a good cup of tea - this is the place for you. Best cuppa I had all trip, and was sorely needed!

Grabbed a ham & havarti panini for my lunch and omg soooooo delicious and the vegetarian samosa was amazing too:)

Delicious almond croissants and the baristas always take care to make your drink just how you like it

Whenever I want to be wired I consult the wired monk. He teaches me many things. Ask for the wired monk special and be awakened by the magick of a thousand burning beans and the flaming beard of monkdom

E for effort.i would not recommend for any lattes.paid 10$ for 2 drinks and ended up dumping them because all we could taste was milk.

It was a pleasure discovering this cafe by accident. Very good espresso coffee in an interesting building.

Cute little coffee shop with a really delicious lunch menu. Not a ton of seating inside but they package all their items to go and can easily accommodate special requests. Friendly and efficient service as well.

I love this little place. Good food, great coffee, and friendly, amazing staff. During COVID, you may have a bit of a wait, but its well worth it.

Its a regular stop on my schedule, and my go-to choice for coffee, tea, deliciously evil baked goods, and breakfast and lunch food for on-the-go.

It is also a wonderful place to hang out and relax- great atmosphere, comfy seats- although that ability is naturally lessened during these times.

Thanks for the alternative studying place on a Thanksgiving day when every other place was closed.

This cafe has a cosy atmosphere with relaxed decor in the lounge area. It has wifi and the coffee is good. One block back from the waterfront and lots of restaurants in the area.

The food is good, the coffee is good. Great selection and a comfortable place to work, study or hang out. Lots of space downstairs and on the street as well

If you order tea, they make your tea bag right there, using the leafs of the flavor you want.
Their coffee is really really good.
The peanut butter squares are lovely.
AND.they have butterscotch Frappuccino’s!
The prices are very, very reasonable for such an off-the-wall, “underground” coffee house, given the most excellent location.
I need to come here a few more times before I go on, because I will miss this place. It’s just great.

Very rude customer service. It was our first time visiting and both employees were very short with us, and they had items on their menu that were “not available during this season”. They need to change the signs if product is not available. I will not be coming back nor will I be recommending it to anyone I know.

Had the Almond Croissant and Matcha Latte; which were both great. Cozy seating and very friendly staff.

Their debit machine does not work and their employees don’t do anything about it. Now I understand this was not his fault but the responds was unacceptable. The server at the counter said very sarcastically “well it’s not working so have a great day” & did not offer any solutions. They had made half my order so you are wasting food which is awful in itself. He mentioned that this is an on going issue so I’m confused as to why it has not been fixed. Management should be on top of things like this as you aren’t going to make much money with non working equipment. This individual should be taught some customer service skills as I have been here many times and never received the negativity I did today from any other worker. I work just up the street and come for lunch often but after this I will not be returning.

Adorable spot in the middle of downtown, the aesthetic is amazing and the iced macchiatos are to die for

Great ambiance and decor. Lots of natural light and windows seats. Great coffee and more seating downstairs. I don't know it's because it's called the wired monk or if it was a Saturday around 5: 00 with no suits but there was a bit of a zen like quality.

A long overdue visit to one of my favourite places to grab breakfast or lunch when I worked in downtown Halifax. One of the best chai lattes (in my opinion) and be sure to treat yourself to one of the sweet treats, or my fav - The Monk Club.

It is a great place that perfectly fits in Halifax. Coffee and food are a little pricey, but totally acceptable as it is an independent coffee house. A variety of drinks, bakery goods, and refreshments are available, as well as seasonal menus. Staff are very nice and friendly.
My favourite part is that, the owner is an artist. Her paintings are displayed in the little place.

Americano coffee was good and the peanut butter cookie was still fresh despite it being near closing time.

(frequent customer for over 5 years) This place is a hidden gem to new customers, to locals it's just a gem. 6/5 stars if i could, locally owned and operated, high quality fair-trade coffee with a good selection of hand-crafted menu items.
