Yarmouth County Museum and Archives

Very interesting museum. Lots of history here. The fresnel lens from Cape Forchu lighthouse is there and an interesting Mastodon exhibit. A little difficult to enter. We tried front door and several other doors before we found a way in only to find the front door was open but had to be forcefully opened. We thought it was locked. Entrance fee $7.

Good history of area, along with artifacts snd they get you thinking about it too.

We were visiting Yarmouth and took an afternoon to see the Mastodon. But wow - so many other cool things to see! Kids twelve and under are free; adults are $12. It was definitely worth the visit.

No one was available to answer questions, and was very much don't get too close.a few displays roped off, so you couldn't see details

Some really interesting finds here. An eclectic mix of Marine artifacts, oddities and antique everyday items. Check out the basket made from an armadillo!

This is the place to visit if you want to travel back into time.
