Yarmouth Regional Hospital

15 hours of waiting.
One doctor on duty.
Couple urine tests. Was told that I would be contacted about further testing. Blood work, ultrasound etc.
I never heard from anyone since my visit there. Over a month ago.
I was lied to.
Emergency room doctor told me the system was broken and was going to collapse. He also said he regrets coming here from Ontario.

Since moving to Yarmouth and having no doctor, I was referred to the primary care clinic.
My care has been professional, respectful and I have had excellent results attributing to the doctors and nurses who work there.

Rudest most unhelpful nurses I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with, staff is completely incompetent! I would rather have a farm vet administer medical care to me than wait the 12 hours it takes for these people to accomplish nothing!

Had to take my 3 kids to ER at Yarmouth Regional hospital today (2months, 2 1/2yrs, 4yrs old). We were seen fairly quickly and processed in a super courteous and efficient manner. The ER triage nurse Simi was awesome with my kids - who were not in very good spirits - she was patient, kind and professional. Thank you!

An absolute failed attempt of a heath care system in Canada. Good luck to all the employees that are trying to make it work.

Wish I could rate this as 0. Never ever go to this hospital. Gf gets told oh that looks like Lyme disease then let’s her sit for over 13 hours and is still waiting and her pain is getting worse and worse. If something happens to her I’ll be filing a lawsuit. Angry isn’t even a word when it comes to this dump.

Cut a chunk out of my hand can see the tendons.could not get a doctor to look at it after 6 hours i left.the yarmouth hospital useless as always

My Mother was sent there to Mental Health as a Patient, which was not easy to get them to Admit her. They Claimed they had no room; but I'm Pretty Sure that was a LIE!

When I took My Mother for an Outing, she fell outside the Hospital Entrance on Some Broken Glass - Twisted her Right Ankle and it was Bleeding. It was Reported to the Staff. I guess they Bandaged up her foot and it didn't heal Correctly- it was Certainly Not Normal and Twisted afterwards and she couldn't walk on it.

My Mother went in as a Patient, and Left as a Victim.

She had Left for Lonn Long Term Care- and had to use a Wheel Chair. Then Began a Long Abusive Life. - Surf Lodge/ Roseway Hospital/ Bayside Nursing Home- and LAST BUT NOT LEAST- Fisherman's Memorial Hospital/ Veteran's Unit.

Baby Sitters could have Done a Much Better Job!

Came at 12: 30 this morning with my daughter because of a sore throat and earache only to be told her ears and throat were fine and to take naproxen as a pain killer, now it’s 8 pm and we’re back here with her throat burning from the pain and her having trouble breathing and yet we have to wait because there’s 8 people who were here first; 811 even told us to get here ASAP when I called them for a second opinion, hopefully tonight we will get antibiotics

My traveling companion came down with a lung infection and we had to seek medical care. The people in the emergency were very caring and helpful. They ended up keeping her overnight and started her on iv antibiotics. The next day she was released with a couple of prescriptions and continued to improve over the span of our vacation. I was very satisfied with the care she received.
