Chefs Plate

I love the meals, the price is good, and I love not wasting food.

My biggest complaint is the the plastic packaging. Some is necessary but just recently the vegetables started being sent in plastic for "optimal freshness. " The veggies were fine without the packaging and I'd rather risk it than receive thus extra plastic.

The recipes are not too difficult and yet the flavours and ideas are unique and are a nice change for us.
However, it is too expensive. 63 bucks this week for 2 meals

We love Chef's Plate! Makes dinner easy. The recipes are delicious and perfect proportioned so you don't overeat. Ingredients are fresh and I've made so many dishes from around the world.

It is not cheap when you work it out to each meal/portion. It's basically like eating out, but you have to make the food.
We ordered meals for the past week to try it out, and I'll be honest, the recipes are good and easy, and the food did not look or smell spoiled. They really did taste good!
Now, 2 out of 4 meals we've tried have made at least 2 members of my household sick out both ends, and 1 member just out one end. Needless to say, I will not be cooking the rest of the meals we have.

Chefs plate is better (in my opinion) than hello fresh. More selection of meals to choose from. There are a lot of steps and packages of ingredients. I like that I don’t have to think about what to make for dinner every night. They are decent portion size too.

Since i started to use Chefs Plate (about 2 months) I am eating a variety of delicious food I could never have imagined. The flavors and spices are wonderful. The recipes are easy to make and there is no WASTE! The price is very reasonable and the variety wide.

I will not be ordering from chefs plate anymore, first order was day late, ice was melted and meat had fowl order, was sent second order free of charge because of this, received second order there was not enough ice, shrimp was slimy.

Good but expensive. Probably will unsubscribe once discount is done. With discount it's affordable, without it too much money.
Also will not deliver to my area so have to have delivered to friends house an hour away

I love using Chef's Plate! It helps break my executive disfunction of having to choose what's for dinner, and teaches me a lot of new cooking techniques. So even if the vegetarian options are a bit limited, I'm just happy to not be eating microwave depression-burritos!

Overall, I am pleased with Chefs Plate. Instructions, now written in point form, are easy to follow. Good Food, on the other hand is still using paragraph form and is confusing.
More and more of Chefs Plate's meals are at a premium price so I avoid those. I suppose they face a rising food cost like everyone else.
Meals are generally delicious, well-seasoned, and easy to prepare.
I have tried other companies and like Chefs Plate the best.

These have been a life saver for me. I'm single and not overly enthused about cooking for one. These make great meals (so tasty!) and 3 meals gets me through a whole week! If I could add one thing, it would be to have more keto options.

Delicious meals I wouldn’t normally have the patience to make, plus portions easily work for 3 people so this seems great.

Great recipes and very easy to follow. Ingredient quality could be a little bit better, especially on the produce but still, better than others.

I started using Chefs Plate when family flew in from Alberta for a 2 week visit. The first week at an Ontario Cottage and the 2nd in my home. Chefs Plate made the visit a vacation for me as well instead of the usual extra work of feeling like a Bed and Breakfast host. The ability to change the delivery day was helpful as well as skipping a week. This allowed me to receive a delivery on a Thursday -just in time to pack for the cottage- and then the Monday after we returned. I’m so impressed that I’ll probably use the service when life gets crazy busy -which can be fairly often. I can suspend and restart whenever it suits me. I appreciate the handy “Spicy” and “Vegan” rating and hope that they can add a “Heart Healthy” and “Diabetic Friendly“ ratings at some point as well. Overall the recipes are easy to follow and delicious. I’m very happy I gave this a try.

Got a reduced price box this week. Portion size for veggies is just over half what they say it is. I’m officially done with chefs plate.

My life is a lot calmer with Chefs Plate. No deciding what to eat, no shopping for ingredients. The only difficult thing is choosing which meal to pick this week!

We have enjoyed all 4 meals so far. Recipes are easy to follow, everything except salt, pepper and oil is provided. We would highly recommend Chef’s Plate, the price fits within our budget.

I find it helpful to have meals planned, BUT would like to have access to all meals to choose from and not just "meat/veg" that I originally chose but can't seem to change.

They are a scam. Didn't give the 1/2 price discount and told me nothing they can do so I cancelled and now a month later they sent a whole new box charged at full price. If you're on a budget stay away from these scammers. Should've known a company in Toronto would be like this.

I have had a bad experience with this food service.ordered my first box and when I came home from work all the meat was warm because there was not enough ice packs or proper cooling packaging. I tried to contact chefs plate via email and I was directed to use their chat service. This service is only automated responses and completely not helpful. It was a huge waste of food.
I have used hello fresh in the past and I would recommend that food service over chefs plate.

The Pan Seared Steak was one of the best steak dinners I’ve ever had! Wasn’t crazy about the wedge salad but that steak!

Chefs plate helps us save on our grocery shopping. I hope there would be more varieties for food selections as my kids don't like eating flavorful foods.

A great way to help combat food waste! I don't have to worry about what to make for dinner anymore. We have a plan and all the necessary ingredients without having to think about it. My ADHD thanks you! So does my wallet!

The delivery was easy. The meals were very delicious and nutritious. The portioned ingredients that were just enough for the meal were great as I would not have had the ingredients or made the dish otherwise due to not using enough of some ingredients to justify buying them myself during a regular grocery shop.
I wish the menu could be slightly more customized to reduce food waste. As a vegetarian who can't digest dairy, I threw out a lot of dairy products in each meal.
