We stayed in a cabin last visit this visit was a travel trailer. Still it was camping. We always have an excellent time. Super friendly staff Susan is a great host and the park was very clean. Dog areas were tidy and a good place to bring fido. We still had lots of fun.
We have stayed at a few KOAs including Ivy Lee and Brighton. KOA Mallorytown's activities were not as engaging as the other two KOAs. The wood is way more expensive, You're not allowed to bring your own wood. The site says that it's because of diseases that could affect the trees, but they're barely any trees on the lot. We played ping pong and my wife was told that the $5 was a deposit so that the paddles would be returned. However, when we went to return it, we were told that that was the rental fee. It felt like we were being nickeled and dimed for everything.
Beau camping. Très propre, les terrains sont grands, piscine, mini-putt et parc pour les enfants. Le personnel est très gentil dont la propriétaire Susan et son mari
A great place to stop while travelling through. Looking forward to spending a bit more time there in the future. Nice sites with large shade trees. Pool is a bit small, but the kids had a blast.
This was not a good experience. I booked 3 nights and we only stayed for 2. Sleeping on the floor would have been more comfortable than the beds. The stove didn’t work, so I had to drive 25 min into Brockville to eat every time. Wifi doesn’t work and there were no kids events. Just a wagon ride that was only on the Saturday and they only did it once. The customer service was not great either. I cancelled my other KOA trip at Ivy Lea cause of how this one went. Customer service there was no better. Called the head office to see if I can at least get the reward card refunded since I won’t be using it. & to make a complaint about this experience. They only gave me excuses and would not refund it and gave me no refunds or discounts at all. Only said “seems like I’m new to camping” which is the same line the owner at this site said when I told them about the stove not working. I get that there are people who camp in tents and don’t have stoves and comfortable beds but I paid $800 for the 3 nights to have a good weekend away with family and my kids. Rented their RV for that reason cause yes I’m not a camper and don’t have my own RV or tent. But didn’t realize that gave them the right to make me feel less than, when I had complaints! Next time I’ll spend my money doing something we will enjoy!
Clean, well kept and friendly. Large sites by the road cater to bigger rigs. Pool is great. Wish there was a second washroom/shower building. Close to highway for travelers but little else, in a small rather isolated community. Half hour to anything interesting. Overall, will return and was very happy with our stay.
We have stayed twice at this campground. We were very impressed both times and definitely will be back. The huge, level, free of obstruction, and full service pull through sites are big rig friendly.
Family friendly campground. We rented a spacious and very enjoyable tent side. My kids loved the bouncing pillow and the pool. A train passes close by early every morning. We could live with that. The kids were waking me up early anyway eager for another day full of adventure. Kids should not miss the wet tractor ride. It's great fun.
Great experience all around, and you can see the time and effort put into upkeep as well as wonderful service by the staff. Keep up the good work, and I will definitely be back.
I highly recommend that you request for a receipt. In our particular case, we had a reservation at this place, however, due to the late arrival around 12-1am and additional adult accompanying us, the staff kindly allowed us to temporarily stay at another campsite until the morning. Then during the transition that the staff presented an alternative arrangement, which we agreed to that the deal because of the lower price for one adult to stay on another site that is beside us. Unfortunately, on our way home, we discovered discrepancy in the charges applied to our final bill. In our efforts to understand the situation, we promptly reached out to “MalloryTown”, only to encounter discourteous and uncooperative behaviour from the staff who vehemently denied ever having offered the previously agreed-upon deal. To summarize, while I cautiously recommend visiting this camp site, it is important to acknowledge that the level of attention and service we received fell short of the expectations typically associated with a professional staffs on this place and it wasn’t what I expected.
