Service was fantastic! Ordered the margarita pizza, expecting your traditional margarita pizza and it lacked taste, coming from an Italian restaurant

Used to give it 5 stars, changed it to a 1 after my experience last night, do they have new owners? They want to get you in the door for the half price apps, but don’t honour it, even if your table gets full meals. Ceaser salad was just lettuce, it’s half price wine Wednesdays, when asked drink specials they said none, then we had to correct them. Used to go weekly, now never going back

We had our daughters Baptism at 147- and it was the most amazing day thanks to Colleen and her team. They were so attentive to our needs, and to our guests. The food was yummy and drinks even better. Simply perfection. Thank you to 147 and Colleen!

Was in for my friends birthday dinner there was 6 of us. Sam was our server, and she started off fantastic! She was overwhelmed as dinner rush began and did not receive any help! We waited for drinks way longer than needed we watched bar staff stand around and she ran from the back dinning room to the front patio and to our table. Food was fantastic but lacked in service at the table. She got help from a male server who didn’t communicate where drinks went which resulted in an issues for bills. I told an server who came to the table that the poor girl didn’t stand a chance when he then said there were short staffed but we didn’t see these two guys the whole night and watched this poor girl run around while at least 2 bartenders didn’t offer a hand to her at all. In my opinion if they have time to stand around they can take the tables at the front of the restaurant while the dinning room servers don’t have to run back and forth resulting in these horrible reviews. Sam needs a raise!

Our group of four went for dinner to celebrate Father’s Day. Our server was lovely and tried his best to remedy the disaster that was the rest of dinner. All four of our mains (chicken, cod, pizza, and lasagna) arrived cold. We sent the lasagna (ordered by dad) back as he likes his food at least warm and decided to not fuss about the other mains being cold since we were all really hungry. It took another 30+ minutes for the lasagna to come out, dispute our server checking in with the kitchen several times. Everyone else was done eating at that point already and the poor man didn’t have any food (at a Father’s Day celebration no less)! Our server did comp the lasagne at the end so I will say the service was good but the food was very disappointing.

Thank you 147. We had the most amazing First Communion party for my daughter at the restaurant.

Food - go hungry as the portions are huge. Everyone could not stop talking about how good everything was.
Servers - very attentive and friendly.
Bartender- drinks were divine, he makes the best Manhattan and Aperol Spritz to name a couple.

The entire Staff was just amazing, we will see you all very soon.

A great atmosphere and great service. Very pleasant and busy. Food was okay. Had braised short rib pasta. The pasta wasn't to soft with not much short rib in the sauce. My wife had gorganzolla gnocchi. She could barely taste the gorganzolla in her sauce. For 100 dollar plus meal it was average.

We went with our friends for dinner and all four of us loved all of it. Calami was very tasty. Salmon was cooked to perfection, large portion and delicious. Frutti Di Mare was amazing, full of seafood and a very large portion. Our server Brody was wonderful, very professional and friendly.
We’re looking forward to going back in the summer and sitting by the open doors looking at the Bay.

We had such a wonderful dinner tonight. We had 2 babies with us and our server Janine and staff were so kind and so accommodating. Thank you so much for you kindness and hospitality. And food was amazing as usual.

Our first visit to 147 was on New Year's Eve. Plenty of options on the menu. Very tasty food.good portions on the main dishes.

Fantastic upscale Italian resto by the water. Delicious and large portions. Everyone was super happy with their meals. Only minor blemish was a pedestrian bourbon sour cocktail (off menu). Otherwise highly recommended and will be returning!

We had lamb shank, the homemade pasta special and the chicken parm, all very good. Our female waitress was very attentative and did not rush us off our table when we lingered. We took the chicken parm to go and it travelled well. Typical wine list and impressive menu of cocktails, our go to place now when visiting Barrie!

We enjoyed 147 during our first post-Covid trip to Barrie and we were not disappointed. Our server (Karen) was very attentive, friendly and her service was excellent. My friend ordered the stagione (homemade pasta and roasted veg) and I ordered the shrimp risotto (special that night) and both were delicious. The drinks were light and refreshing (Amalfi Coast). We were stuffed after our meals but had just enough room to enjoy the cannelloni for a bite of desert to finish off a great meal. This restaurant was recommended by a friend of my friend so we'll make sure and thank her for the referral. We will return next time we're in Barrie!

Very nice restaurant to taste a good variety of delicious Italian food. One of the best, at least in this area. I went together with my teenage daughter who is very picky, she also enjoyed the food and the ambiance.

This place gets pretty packed, so make a reservation. Friendly service, good food, overall a great experience. I recommend.

The atmosphere here is great. Service is good. Great location, but I must say, the value for the price wasn’t amazing. 50.00 for a salad with no chicken, and 2 vodkas seems a bit excessive! Bread at the beginning of the meal was awesome

Atmosphere was wonderful, and the staff was amazing. Anthony had a great knowledge of drinks, and Shauna made the the party feel welcome! I would reccomend again for you party needs, or reservations.

The food was not good. The service was terrible. I will not bore you with the details. But definitely an overpriced experience. I will not go again. Cocktails are terrific, nice selection.

Worst experience ever! We have a 12 people group and arrived at 7: 00pm and it has taken more than 3 hours to get our main courses. No apologies, no compensation.in fact we got insulted by the Chef when we asked about our food. Seriously NOT worth! Find another place. Ok

The meals my friends chose looked good and were reported as tasty. My choice was tasty…I had the mushroom risotto… but I would suggest the chef come up with a better way to serve it. Presentation seemed to be so key for the other plates brought to the table, that I was actually nauseated by the site of mine. Creamy mushroom risotto should not be served spread out across a large plate. It has the effect of looking like something regurgitated. Even a garnish of some kind would have been an improvement. The price also a bit much for rice.

The food, service and ambiance was an amazing experience! My family of 8 were amazed and want to go back today the day after for more!

On march 20th 2022 we had one of best culinary experiences here at 147 Dunlop street shared with good friends. The atmosphere was bubbly & peppy with patrons smiling and conversations flowing with music in the background. The lighting was so perfect That you got to see what you were eating on your plate and the smiles on peoples faces every time they took a bite of one of our courses. The staff at the Ristorante were on the ball! They were quick attentive and had excellent listening skills because I never had to repeat myself when it came to ordering.
Saving the best for last, the chef RICHARD or Rick I must say has has put this restaurant on the map for Barrie. His culinary skills are saavy and ready to satisfy any pallet any occasion any evening
Because of his experience in the industry! If you’re looking for an excellent night on the town and don’t want to drive to downtown Toronto than this is the place for you keep up the good work!

I often book 147 for corporate and social events and following my last experience with the management staff, I will no longer eat or recommend anyone to eat there again.
During a corporate event dinner, the manger approached the table and rudely informed me how we (the table) took up space for other guests due to three guests being unable to attend last minute. He then proceeded to remove the single table upbruptly, saying how he has turned guest and money away.

This was extremely rude and uncomfortable for everyone. Due to covid-19 and out of extreme caution, people cancel last minute due to sickness and due to people not attending, being treated so rudely is unacceptable.
The waiter was great and the food was okay, but since I’m only treated as “money” and rudely. I will not be returning. Ilbuca is down the street with lovely customer service and great food.

Fantastic food, great service, and a nice ambiance. Ask to have Josh as your server - great knowledge and not afraid to recommend wines to pair with your meal.

We had an absolutely amazing experience lastnight for my parents wedding anniversary. Appetizers, main courses and deserts were delicious. The service was impressive to say the least. Thank you Shawna, Chris, Rick and the rest of the staff for a great night.

Recently celebrated my daughters 22nd birthday at 147. Everything was perfect including the service. 2 of us had fruti de mare, seafood pasta in a tomato garlic sauce and it was amazing. Highly recommended. #supportlocal

Had a reservation July 17th, multiple messages and calls made and my Mom was able to confirm the reservation for 8 for indoors. We arrived to find out there was no reservation recorded and the manager noted she remembered the call/reservation but for some reason unable to locate it. We did recognize that it was the first night for indoor dining but we called to confirm due to having my 90 year old grandmother with us.
It took awhile but they were finally able to accommodate us on their front patio. Servers passed us a few times, other tables/customers arriving after us, served drinks and eating while we were still waiting.
Foti, one of the employees quickly took note and when bringing water to our table asked us if we would like a drink. He then proceeded to be our server for the evening, although I don't think that was his job that night. I am giving Foti 5 stars. He took and remembered all of our orders and made not one error. If he had not been our server and turned our night around I would be giving a much lower rating. Thank you Foti:)

We had fun at this restaurant. We sat outside on the sidewalk patio. Due to covid procedures, not much tables inside. The food was delicious and the staff were fantastic. The presentation of the dishes were beautifully done, the aroma mmmm so gwud, so much texture, and layers of flavor. Yummy goodness Thanks Maria our waitress. And thanks Joe from upstairs for buying us dessert The washrooms are clean and bright. The restaurant have a dim light atmosphere with nice ambiance. Located near the lake.

The staff is awesome, the ambiance is very nice and you can never go wrong making this your night out.

Foods are okay but I'd prefer other places. Expected a creamy dressing for the caesar salad but it wasn't.

Pasta ametricana was great and large portion. Cornish hens were excellent, good portion of mashed potatoes & veggies. Good Brindisi red wine.

Best fine dining in Barrie! Amazing homemade food, fresh and great tasting dishes with new specials all the time, Chef Rick always has you excited to see what is coming next! Hands down the most friendly and accommodating staff, make sure to check out 147 you will not be disappointed!

First time here, the rib eye was cooked perfectly, the smashed potatoes were on point. My dinner companion had the lamb, it was fall off the bone. Service was great and ambiance was just right. Price point was in the market. Very nice overall experience

We went this weekend to this restaurant just because we walked by. And we were very pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is great, our waiter was really nice and the bill was reasonable. We got the calamari and the penne alla vodka, both were excellent! Highly recommend the tables in the dining room as you get to enjoy the view on the lake. Great restaurant

Wonderful spot for dinner. Hubby took me for my birthday and they didn’t disappoint. The portions were so big and delicious. Friendly staff and they do check your temp upon entry. No one seated near us, we felt very safe. Can’t wait to go back!

I have been here on a number of occasions and it’s always my go to in Barrie when I’m going out for dinner. I love bringing people here who have never been to show them what good food and service in Barrie is! The food and service are always excellent! The portions are large and the daily specials and features make for a great experience! Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic and delicious Italian food and drinks!

Probably the best italian restaurant in a while. I go on work trips to Barrie and this is a must every time! We even got complimentary drinks. What else can I say really. Thank you.

A friend and I went on a busy Saturday night so it took awhile to get a table but we were happy to enjoy a drink and app at the bar while we waited. Once we were seated, our meals came quite quickly and they were excellent! Our server was Sean and he was very professional, friendly and attentive. As we had a birthday reservation for dinner, Service was great when first arrived after appatizers staff started rushing us and told us that we had to hurry that their was people waiting. As everyone that was at the birthday dinner didn't really even have the chance to finish their meal the servers were taking our plates before even having plates finish.

My fiancé and I visited restaurant 147 while in Barrie for the weekend. We are big foodies so I spent a good while looking up places to eat. It wasn’t until we were downtown that we came across 147. We decided to try it out and we’re not disappointed! From the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. Upgraded to a “nicer” table (all were nice) and bread arrived at the table as soon as we were seated. Nicholas, our server, was very knowledgeable when it came to the wine list and was quite personable.
